I just got a quote today from my insurance. keep in mind I have 2 other cars w/ full coverage and im over 30 and married, but i was quoted at 386 a year for full coverage, 250 deductible. Same as my vehicles except for medical and your health insurance will cover that part

It depends a lot on where you live and which company you get your insurance with. I've heard on the grapevine that State Farm is cheapest, but may require you to have insurance on your car with them as well. I was quoted between $159 and $230 a year (for basic liability and then for collion w/ $200 deductible, respectively) by my insurance company, but it may vary a bit by age, state, and company.

yes, you can ride better than I do,fo sho. When I was 16 I kicked ass in computer games, then I rode freestyle bikes like mad and kicked ass too, when I applied for a job, I became the best employee of the company so fast like nobody else before. Now Im 24 and Im gonna buy this bike, 'cos Im a beginner and never rode one before. I don't even know how to start it. U can laugh now ;), but I don't need to go around and tell people how I own them in this and that. I do what I do, 'cos I love it. ;P

You're too tall, and probably a bit too heavy for this bike. However if you do buy it I suggest riding solo.

The seat is taller than the '07 at 30.7". He's not too tall or heavy. A 250cc engine just isn't going to have the huge acceleration a bigger engine does unless you're like 110 lbs (which I'm not either). It will cruise okay at higher revs on the highway, it's got a great price ($3499 for the '08, $3999 for the '09), and great fuel economy (45 to 70 mpg, depending). As a beginner, I don't want or need a 600cc engine that can go 150 mph on the highway and 0-60 mph in 3 seconds. Great bike, hon. :)

I found this out today, try to avoid riding directly in the middle of the lane. Notice that the middle of the lane is usually darker than other places, my instructor told me that was oil! Cars leaking engine oils or something, a bit of moisture and it could cause you to slide.

Are you a new rider? you shouldnt ride with a passenger. not for the moment. safety first, no need to "look cool" or "show off". get comforable with the bike, learn after riding your local streets for some time. then when you've got a couple hundred miles, try a little bit with your girlfriend. BE SAFE. by riding with a passenger starting out. the fact is, you'll feel uneasy and nervous. slowly but surely, soon you can have her ride.. then again you may not heed this advice, but just be safe.

I wet to the dealer a few days ago, and the had 500s and 650s but no 250s. The size difference between the 650 and 500 was very small, i would imagine the difference between the 500 and 250 is also very small. Its just more narrow.

Ive been riding for just over a year now, but i see you stick to the left side of the road, id say its better to stick on the white line in the middle of your lane - that way twats cant nearly hit you off your bike, but i also like riding on the far right so they cant do dangerouse overtaking like that.
