@Rude666 The thing is Dharma failed because they were only interested in science, They thought the only way was to change one of the numbers, whereas Jacob had different ideas he chose 360 numbers and in the end 4-8-15-16-23-42 +51 (Austen) were the most important numbers, They added a 7th number to the equation and saved the world.

Lost has left more questions than answers. many unanswered questions like the smoke monster, why the numbers gave hurley bad luck, why did the numbers made him win the lottery, why were the numbers encrypted on the hatch, why was dharma still sending their food to desmond even after the dharma people were gassed, why the whispers or where they come from, the visions who were they where they came from??????????????????? i hated the final episode
@ganthonyvr Well, to be fair: LOST, in total, had 663 total mysteries, 536 answered mysteries, and 127 unanswered mysteries. Most of the 127 can easily be answered with a bit of thinking. I'm making a youtube video now showing how much of Lost is actually explained if you want to take the time and find answers.

@damanwitdaplan11 It's all part of the Lost mythology. If you don't care for it then don't worry about it, it wasn't in the actual show. If you are one of those people who wants anything to further their knowledge of the islands immense history then here's a small piece of it. Because it relates to humanity, the number found in the equation, are found everywhere. DHARMA wanted to extend the time humanity had, so it tried to alter the equation
This explanation isn't really acceptable. It could have been, but like everything else from the ARG, it wasn't really canon, and most of the ARG 'revelations' got blatantly contradicted in show later.
Ok guys I'm a major LOST fan and I've been trying to gather up all my knowledge for tonight's finale. Can someone please give me a full run-down of this video and it's purpose? who was it for? what did it lead to? who is Hanso? @gjeanpatrick1 This was part of the first Lost ARG that was on between the season 2 and 3 hiatus. The girl in this film was kinda the main character who started to help the player discover the "dark secret behind the Hanso Foundation" (who made the hatches on the island etc).
The ARG was made by the real Lost producers and it's purpose was to expand the mythology of the show by giving some information they couldn't provide on the show (true meaning of the numbers, info about hanso, dharma etc.)

@smokeyhatch14 look i don't want to argue about this, weather or not i'm right or wrong i don't care. i watched lost since the beginning, researched all into theorys, ancient egyptian culture, fuck i was doodling swan hatch logos on everything everyday. i was obsessed. then around season 4 onwards the show seemed to change. it went from cool mystery to character love triangle development. then all the solved mysteries seemed rushed or anti clymatic. i dont know if thats my fault or theres.
Why couldn't this be in the show? It's so cryptic and strange, but instead we get this good vs. evil bullshit. These last episodes better get back on this.

So many questions raised that the writers never bothered to think of an answer to. How did anyone survive the hatch imploding on them? you really need to get your facts straight. Lost is not being cancelled, it is scheduled to end after 3 or 4 more seasons i believe (don't know off the top of my head, but they have a scheduled end date). They will answer all of those questions, they will have a real ending, and you need to stop crying
in the current season, we see her members stranded on the island and when they fell into the temple something changed. Danielles boyfriend came back. and when they were on the beach he tried to kill her. his gun didn't fire and she had to kill him.

@smokeyhatch14 1st of all calm down. educated guess work is all the producers left us with. logically what you said makes sense but at no point in the show was that supposed to be apparent. infact they lead us on to believe after the statue collapsed thats when women couldn't conceive. what were those jars of yellow liquid in the cabin? why even focus the camera on them? what you said about the cerbarus plug didn't make sense to me and i tried to make sense of it. lost was anticlimactic. the end

@calzagheisthebest First of all, IM CALM, Its not guess work, its using footage, dialogue, and clues FROM THE SHOW itself, They DID NOT lead us to believe it was caused by the statue being destroyed, Ethan was born without much trouble in 1977, 110 years after the statue was destroyed and 1 week before the incident.

@calzagheisthebest The "Hurley" bird was a genetically modified bird, yes it said Hurley, But does it matter really? No one i know thought that was a "Mystery" that was going to be touched upon again, it was just to emphasise how strange this place was, and the producers said early on it was just a joke. The Dharma initiative had created this Hybrid, they were probably trying to learn the creature human behaviour, language ect, Again sometimes if you put 2 and 2 together you get 4,

@smokeyhatch14 look i don't want to argue about this, weather or not i'm right or wrong i don't care. i watched lost since the beginning, researched all into theorys, ancient egyptian culture, fuck i was doodling swan hatch logos on everything everyday. i was obsessed. then around season 4 onwards the show seemed to change. it went from cool mystery to character love triangle development. then all the solved mysteries seemed rushed or anti clymatic. i dont know if thats my fault or theres.

Wow I think the whole reason for the Dharma initiative, the island, the 815 crash, all of it was for someone, anyone to go back in time and stop those disasters from happening, 4-8-15-16-23-42 each number = either a disaster or a sequence of events that lead up to the apocalypse, the entire reason for the Island is to find the one true answer to the ultimate question, how do you stop the apocalypse... ? you really need to get your facts straight. Lost is not being cancelled, it is scheduled to end after 3 or 4 more seasons i believe (don't know off the top of my head, but they have a scheduled end date). They will answer all of those questions, they will have a real ending, and you need to stop crying
