@CashWatkins Rest assure if that would be the case no one would be manufacturing these boats. On the contrary, owners seem to be really happy but I take it you must be really unlucky guy. Or you're a dealer of old propeller boats in which case I would strongly advise you to catch up on the technology and the market.

They say "they're safer" (which yeah they are), but who in the fuck is going to be climbing into the boat with the prop in gear? Jet drives have been out for YEARS, dude. This has nothing to do with technology. It's trying to take advantage of a dumbass who probably has a jet ski. Stick a prop on that 200 hp jet ski, and watch it suddenly gain about 30-40 mph. That's efficiency.
Suck down about twice as much gas, be a lot more inefficient, and have a lot less top end of a similarly powered outboard or inboard/outboard. Yay jets!
