this music is fucking terrible. "hey lets mix rap and rock together, because no alternative rock band did that in the late 90s/early 2000's so we'll call ourselves pioneers"
actually, this stuff sounds alot better than that older stuff. Mainly due to the fact that those 90's alternative bands couldn't hold up the rap end of the combo. You can hear it in their flow that these guys grew up on rap & are true to it's origsinal form & spirit. These guys don't give a shit about what someone else did & how, they are just expressing what they think music should sound like, and I can appreciate this. Rap today lacks what these guys are: genuine.
these guys just stole adeem/glue's style and called it their own. atleast adeem could hold up his own in the actual hip hop scene. these guys would have never stepped foot in a scribble jam battle. "obey the moderator" is not genuine, its trying to make a tough rap about computers..that is not hip hop. nerdcore is another sub genre thats killing underground hip hop..
@nikeskater416 haha i hope you get ran over by OR's tour bus HATER!hip hop,in its truest form,is music and lyrics that speak about the rapper in question, not some fad or popular style.its something the rapper loves or is about, and if someone else feels it too, then its all the more powerful.Nerdcore ftw.
so you'd support "gaycore" hiphop, if the rapper talked about his homosexual experiences in a hip hop fashion? no offense, but i'm sure if kool g rap, rakim, krs-one heard this they'd probably shed a tear. i honestly think nerdcore is worse than mainstream rap music.
@nikeskater416 yeah,i probably would,if it had a nice beat and flo to it.i listen to nerdcore cuz i can identify with alot of it.and if they cried because a white nerd can rap, then yeah, theyre doing their duty.and REAL hip-hop artist or group will tell you its all about the expression or the story you tell.not all rapping has to be about how tough you are or the ghetto you were raised in.thats cliche'd and boring.nerdcore is fresh and real.get used to it.
my point is hip hop started from something completely different than this. theres people that attempt to keep it alive, and theres people who branch from it for either profit or passion. i don't listen to "tough guy" hip hop..or atleast take it serious for the most part. cliche'd and boring, all of nerdcore sounds almost exactly the same. i generally listen to hip hop that is about life, social issues, music that makes you think. rapping about computers..not much real meaning..
@nikeskater416 it doesnt neccesarily matter where a movement starts, its more where its headed.and well nerdcore MCs sound alike cuz theyre in a similar genre, but if youve actually listened to different albums by different MCs,they have different content, though its usually nerdy.and nerdcore is about life, social issues, and its music that makes you think.the nerdMCs i listen to RARELY even rap about computers.MC chris raps about having trouble getting laid, and other stuff like that,so..idk
lol i don't have trouble getting laid..so i guess i can't related to it. i relate to a more atmosphere/mac lethal type i suppose. look up the song "Chapstick" by Party Fun Action Committee and you'll find out why MC Paul Berman stopped making music.
@nikeskater416 i wasnt saying that applies to everyone. as long as the MC can connect with the people listening to his music, hes an mc.and if hes live, and he can rock the crowd, hes a true mc.so its all about what you prefer, not wether or not some guy is or isnt hiphop.that song chapstick,it blew chunks, but im confused on your point.
its supposed to blow chunks..if you thought it was real then that's definitely the problem with nerdcore..and that group pointed it out. its so ridiculous you can't tell whats actual nerdcore and whats making fun of nerdcore. that song came out making fun of Paul Barmen and after it came out...he didn't make an album for 7-8 years.
@nikeskater416 well ill say they did a good job,it sounded like a mc frontalot skit at the beginning, but thats not on nerdcore...they could have just honestly sucked balls,it happens.you can make fun of any genre like that.have you ever listened to a krs interview?he sounds mentally retarded.doesnt mean theres anything wrong with the genre.as for paul barmen,i dont know anything about that,so i cant say its directly because of the party fun action committee.
I want a higher quality version of this video!

No of course not. Every band is identical, and anyone making music is nothing special. Right?
