  • How old do you have to be to start gymnastics. Someone I know said that it is way harder to do all that stuff when you are older? I was thinking of joining gymnastics since I've done it before but I stopped.

  • for littlemissdancer2013, have someone light stand on ur thighs/knees (if ur close to being flat), or at least help u put a little pressure on em. im a competitive dancer and thats how i got it flat, u wont break anything i promise:)

  • no, it's the same as normal splits that stretch your legs, not knees. you want to try to keep your knees srait at all times or you could get hurt (i have that problem too)

  • my legs aren't hyperextended and i can get my oversplits you should be fine

  • can oversplits only be done with legs forward & backward? cause i havent seen them been done to the sides.

  • you can do over splits centre split but as not many people can evan do centre splits there are evan fewer who can do the oversplit

  • YES, my friend has been doing dance for 7 years and she can do over splits on the middle. It's just that they're so hard to get in the first place. o.o

    It denpends on many factors. In general, one inch for one year if you are older( 20-35) or 2- 3 inches for a year if you are younger( under 12). Of course, you have to do it every day or at least three times per week.

  • your splits are great, but try not to turn in your feet in the middle splits, it's horrible for your knees and doesn't properly stretch you

  • No problem (with bad english, which isn't bad :P ). Actually I can't really do the middle splits properly yet, but if i really wanted to and I stretched a lot, I bet it wouldn't take too long. the stretches from 1:05 to 1:20 are good for the middle splits!

  • when she does the split she is sheating I think because when you do a split your knees supposed to be up. not down or the side that she does.

  • I know what you mean, her knee does look like she is cheating but look at her heel, it seems to be in the proper position.

  • Just watch my video with splits tutorial and stretch every night like for maybe 20 minutes..?

    don't giv up :) It took me about 3 months maybe from when I really stretched maybe 4/7 days or something. But it is very different from person to person. Hope this helps!

  • Yea I am ok close with my left split now but still feels really weird! If youre so close with you right leg, i don't think itll take very long, just stretch a LOT :)

  • about two months maybe..? no, I had to stretch but I was able to do it when I was small I think. Ok :)
