How old do you have to be to start gymnastics. Someone I know said that it is way harder to do all that stuff when you are older? I was thinking of joining gymnastics since I've done it before but I stopped.

It denpends on many factors. In general, one inch for one year if you are older( 20-35) or 2- 3 inches for a year if you are younger( under 12). Of course, you have to do it every day or at least three times per week.
Everyday I practice my splits and I am so close on getting my right leg split but my left leg is SO unflexible i don't know what to do to make it more flexible. I want to be able to do all the splits by next year.
No problem (with bad english, which isn't bad :P ). Actually I can't really do the middle splits properly yet, but if i really wanted to and I stretched a lot, I bet it wouldn't take too long. the stretches from 1:05 to 1:20 are good for the middle splits!

try doing it on pillows and slowly take them out that as you start to get cmfortable is how i learned make sure you stretch
