What would happen if we analyse Bible literally assuming that it is written for the contemporary time? i know some ppl will disagree, but religion to me is just another layer of hatred the world could have done without. sure you may say it offers you moral guidance and the rest, but one should not underestimate mankind's natural ability to already know what is "good" and "bad", and to me i find this so internally satisfying. That being said, I do believe in God, but not religion (no, its not a paradox)

What would happen if we analyse Bible literally assuming that it is written for the contemporary time? Do you have any idea of the times when Quran was shaped? of course not, otherwise you would know that you need to contextualize when you try to analyse a text, especially something that has written centuries ago. And of course you don't know about the number of Christian missionaries in the world to convert lost souls into Jesus.

Oh Zaman you do make me laugh.you silly fool, you dont seem seem to have a brain.If you did you would know the figure of Iraqi deaths is extremely inaccurate. iraqi officials, aid workers and other random guess varies hugly (sometimes upto 100,000) and as for "innocent" muslims killed by the troops i imagine that to be a fairly low number as the troops are probably aiming more towards the man with the rockt launcher shouting "allah ackbar" than the mother with the pram.

the lancet may have reported it but i doubt they went to iraq and counted for themselves, did they? they get their information from sources it just so happens that that particular figure was collected by various aid organisations working in Iraq and no neutral organisation has agreed on a figure even close to that, i believe it is you that is the "ass" as you say or in my words completly thick.

Many lines in the Holy Kor'an are speaking of specific occurrences. for example "Slay the disbelievers wherever you may find them" refers to a specific time where the nonbelievers wished to kill the prophet (Saws). The problem is that as with the Bible, the Koran has to be twisted and warped in order to seem anything like a consistent text in the whole.
