David Tennant is still a whovian, he even said when he was promoting "The Waters of Mars" in 2009. He said that even when he leaves, because it's a big part of his childhood, that he'll have to keep watching when Matt Smith replaces him.
Mrloulou97 Not really, Rose is probably my least favourite companion, I guess it's main for the horrible way she treated Micky and the fact that I'm totally against any sort of romance between the Dr and any humans he meets. I know Martha did like him to but she came to her senses... Other than the lyrics (such as "Since we met on Skaro" and "Exterminate, Regenerate"), it is pretty obvious that the doctor would save his deepest hatred for the Daleks because they destroyed his home planet and all of his family. I don't think he would do a song with someone who had gone mad but used to be a good person.

The doctor ended up on skaro were there were two races fighting a nuclear war. One had been mutated into this race of beautiful people, they didn't think they were beautiful. This was actually the very first doctor, William Hartnell. Later one they changed the origin of the daleks in an episode called genesis of the daleks. Instead of a short nuclear war it was a 1000 year war between the kaled's. Davros experimented on living Kaled cells and created the modern daleks.
@TennantJunkie1993 In the new origin in which the daleks were created by davors the kaleds, which were basically nazis, were fighting the thals and because of the weapons they used they were mutated and in order to survive they need the machines that we see them in now. Davros deemed the mutations from the fallout irreversible, and then experimented on living cells, treating them with chemicals and accelerating the mutations to discover the eventual mutated Kaled form and ensure its survival.

I'm sorry but the way I see it is that the top two comments are wrong. David Tennant was WAY better than Eccleston. That is why Eccleston only played in '05 and Tennant played between '05 and '10. Personal favourite Doctors will vary depending on what kind of person you are, as each Doctor is awesome in their own special way. 4 for me, 10 for someone else, 7 for someone else etc. That's the great thing about opinions, we all get to have one. But Matt Smith is undeniably hot. ;)
@kibbylee: You don't neccacarily have to start at the very begginning of either the classic sereis or the new series. I started with "Dragonfire" which is a 7th Doctor episode. I recommend not starting with the 6th Doctor, though. :-)

Absolutely loving the Tenth Doctor. I was introduced to Doctor Who with the 9th doctor but didnt really stick. Then I recently saw the Tenth Doctor and got kinda hooked. 11th shows promise although I only caught the first episode before life got in the way.
Oh, I must've not paid enough attention when I watched Journey's End, because I thought it was about The Master hahaha. Have to watch it again.. Without the crying.. Won't work, though.

Its a lot of fun, I suggest starting with the 2005 series because like everyone else is saying it will tell you the story well.The 2005 series is streaming on netflix so that's the best way to get a hold of it. ...Am I the only person who hears this as a Doctor/Master song? I know, I know, it's about Davros, whatever, but "Yeah, we can travel time together, we can settle this forever" strikes me as just. VERY Doctor/Master, especially considering the end of S3, and the fact that that was what the Doctor was planning before Lucy got trigger-happy.
@DeaMaxwell Yeah a lot of the song does seem super Doctor/Mastery, the bit that gets me though is how the "Doctor" voice swears he will beat the Dalek/Master opposition. The doctor, from what I've seen (all the new series and everything with the 5th doctor from the older series) he's never been so violent towards the master. It's a fun thing to puzzle over though!

@DeaMaxwell I think half the entire fandom that knows of this song, believes it's Doctor/Master. I mean really, a good deal of people choose Doctor/Master as their FoeYay for the series. I mean, female pairings aside (unless Master becomes a woman in one of his incarnations, we may have or not seen), this is one of the biggest pairing. Then again, these are just my views.

I actually have to say that Eccleston was my favorite Doctor, I liked the idea of him being born from the pain and anger from the Time War, I found Tennant grated on me after a while, he seemed too much like a 'goofy uncle' type.
I know Eccleston had those moments but then he had his darker and more serious moments (so did Tennant but I thought Eccleston got the anger and frustration across more clearly) I was dissapointed that Eccleston only got one series :(

@kibbylee start with Cristopher Eccleston. That way the newer Who will make sense (plus he was a brilliant Doctor!). Or start right from the beginning with William Hartnell. It's up to you really, but those two are probably the best options.
@kibbylee I would say Eccleston is the one to start with, but if you watch the old old episodes you should watch it with a friend so you can laugh at the special effects. I love it personally.

The song is actually about the doctor and davros, If you watch journeys end (JE) you will see exactly what the song is referencing.

However I believe the 8 met the master on Skaro,
It says "As Men" Not as "Sentient humanoid and saltshakeroid lifeforms"

I'm sorry but the way I see it is that the top two comments are wrong. David Tennant was WAY better than Eccleston. That is why Eccleston only played in '05 and Tennant played between '05 and '10. The better The Doctor is the longer he will be played by that person. That is why Tom Baker played The Doctor for an astonishing 7 years. That's almost as long as his scarf!. and This song doesn't have anything to do with The Master. The Master doesn't shout "EXTERMINATE!" every time he is killing.

Personal favourite Doctors will vary depending on what kind of person you are, as each Doctor is awesome in their own special way. 4 for me, 10 for someone else, 7 for someone else etc. That's the great thing about opinions, we all get to have one. But Matt Smith is undeniably hot. ;)

@kibbylee: You don't neccacarily have to start at the very begginning of either the classic sereis or the new series. I started with "Dragonfire" which is a 7th Doctor episode. I recommend not starting with the 6th Doctor, though. :-)

Absolutely loving the Tenth Doctor. I was introduced to Doctor Who with the 9th doctor but didnt really stick. Then I recently saw the Tenth Doctor and got kinda hooked. 11th shows promise although I only caught the first episode before life got in the way.

Its a lot of fun, I suggest starting with the 2005 series because like everyone else is saying it will tell you the story well.The 2005 series is streaming on netflix so that's the best way to get a hold of it. ...Am I the only person who hears this as a Doctor/Master song? I know, I know, it's about Davros, whatever, but "Yeah, we can travel time together, we can settle this forever" strikes me as just. VERY Doctor/Master, especially considering the end of S3, and the fact that that was what the Doctor was planning before Lucy got trigger-happy.

@DeaMaxwell Yeah a lot of the song does seem super Doctor/Mastery, the bit that gets me though is how the "Doctor" voice swears he will beat the Dalek/Master opposition. The doctor, from what I've seen (all the new series and everything with the 5th doctor from the older series) he's never been so violent towards the master. It's a fun thing to puzzle over though!

@DeaMaxwell I think half the entire fandom that knows of this song, believes it's Doctor/Master. I mean really, a good deal of people choose Doctor/Master as their FoeYay for the series. I mean, female pairings aside (unless Master becomes a woman in one of his incarnations, we may have or not seen), this is one of the biggest pairing. Then again, these are just my views.

I actually have to say that Eccleston was my favorite Doctor, I liked the idea of him being born from the pain and anger from the Time War, I found Tennant grated on me after a while, he seemed too much like a 'goofy uncle' type.
I know Eccleston had those moments but then he had his darker and more serious moments (so did Tennant but I thought Eccleston got the anger and frustration across more clearly) I was dissapointed that Eccleston only got one series :(

i always thought the song was more from the daleks point of view, probably from the line "look at you fashioning people into weapons, how can you say that your better than me?" because thats stated in season four finale. until alex comes in then i think thats the doctor.
meh my own personal opinion but good job otherwise (i doubet theres alot of dalek video)

@kibbylee start with Cristopher Eccleston. That way the newer Who will make sense (plus he was a brilliant Doctor!). Or start right from the beginning with William Hartnell. It's up to you really, but those two are probably the best options.

@kibbylee Probably start with Eccleston. I started with Tennant, but that's because that was what was airing on SciFi by the time I was concious enough to actually watch the show. My first Doctor Who moment was the Big Threatening Button.
