This game was amazing! I was actually surprised how much I liked it after Star Ocean 3 on the PS2 came out and bombed. This was a fantastic game and recommend it to ANY rpg fan!

I have this game now, it was my christmas wish,

but i can not read the letters when i talk to somebody and the the letters are shaking..especially when i open the menue in this game, =( but in the fights the graphic is OK =(

@LadyCherryification No text should be shaking, particularly not in a PS3 title. Though that sounds like it might have something to do with how your display equipment is set up. Are you using an old-style CRT TV or an LCD? If it's LCD, are you using a HDMI cable? If not, you should. If it's a CRT, you should use component or RGB SCART depending on whether you're from the US or Europe. Bear in mind that most modern games are designed to be displayed on widescreen HDTVs at 720p or higher.

when I changed the setting I was able to read the text on the screen but it was still shaking a little bit.

But I played it yesterday at a friend's tv and my tv is just too old, it runs perfectly on his HDMI tv =)

great, now I am on an island for playing day and night with friends and here is just an old tv that is not able to give me a screen !

By the way, do I have to take Meracle in my party ?

I think she just takes space =(

@LadyCherryification you can choose that little girl(lymle) in your party and you will probably using her a lot when you try to get 50% battle trophies in colosseum single battle.

SO till the end of time is the best in series. i had played SO 2 but not as good as SO TTEOT.

I bought it a year ago but never finished it, though, because it became a total bitch.

The final part annoyed me so much I just quit and watched the end on YT.

A lot of items have a maximum of 19 or 18, means your inventory is either full or, after a hard boss, totally empty.

( I hate that 3<)

Anyway, if you keep leveling a lot it should be no problem 8D

This game looks good, it might actually be a new RPG I could get into - haven't got into many new RPG's (maybe because I'm a bit older).

I just play the same old Tales/Final Fantasy's/Xenogears - any decent PS1 RPG really.

i have this and i would love it but i has some major flaws in it, like save problems(like you can save every couple of hours cause there is so low save point location) long ass cut scenes like when u start game u watch 1h cut scene and play 10min this game has more cut scenes than game play in overall if u dont grind on mobs :D and characters are lame like bunch of kids and town citizens looks smaller that ur character but they are grown ups. )

I don't get why people get all bent out of shape over Action-RPG's or RPG's that arn't turn based, different people have different tastes. The RPG series almost everyone knows is Final Fantasy, which is not my favorite really, I like it but, can't say I really love it. feels too simple for my liking, I prefer more real time things like the, Secret of Mana Series, Star Ocean Series, Fire Emblem Series etc, its all about what you like, thank goodness for Sub Genres

@gravexx try white knight (ps3) its turn base in its own way actualy its pretty awsome you hit and you can still move around and stuff but you have a little cirlce gage that has to load to do an atttack usual by the time your circle thing loads the enemy plants his attack trust me at first the game doesnt seem turn base but it sure is

@gravexx oh wow not so smart of a move lol.. yeah it may seem easy at some points but it has its hard times too.... but this game truly is great has a great story unique twist on the standard turn base games awesome online co op character customization i mean you can even make your own city from ground up and let people from online join your time. if you do get your ps3 back do get white chronicle if you traded ur 360 for star ocean u shouldnt have star ocean and most rts or on both systems

I like the old final fantasy battle system maby the new Generation dont like it cause they hvnt played most of the Final Fantasy games. I have played the FF7 , 8 , 9 , 10 ,10-2 and too me these battlesystems are Classic. If you change the Final Fantasy battlemode system to much there wont be any diff from the FF original fighting style and the other games out there like this one. Im not saying that the FF13 battle mode wont be good enought. But it would be sad if they change it to much :(

I say Star Ocean series battle system is way~ better than Tales of Vespersia, time won't stop even while using special skill, being more active and all.

If u get the hang of it, linking chain combo of one char to the other is really awesome.

The only downpart is when you get all the high level skills, you can just spam it then the enemy is dead. It can be countered by enemy's rage mode but still :)

Why not both. SO has an addictive battle system, but IU has a very compelling story. They both have there + & - ...I suppose it just depends on what your interests are. Hope this helps.

@clocky3 I'd get Star Ocean 4 for the battle system alone (preferably the international one on PS3 ^_^), and I'd get Infinite Undiscovery for the storyline/gameplay, it might not be much harder than So4 I think, but the story/dialogue picks up much faster. SO4 got a little premature @ 1st, but it's actually pretty fun to a certain point, but Infinite Undiscovery was just so dark and badass later on lol. I say get SO4 for longer/funner battles, and get IU for harder IC and unexpected shit

@spretters91 actually, fallout is more of an RPG than most so called RPG's nowadays. You can't even change the player's name for most JRPG's nowadays. an rpg means that you play a role, as in, you usually create a character and a name, and have some sort of open world where you fight monsters and gain attributes and skills. it's all centered around your character and improving your character. Fallout is actually the exact definition of a role-playing game. have you ever played fallout?

There's really two ways to look at it, I don't think only one of them is right, but both of them are, even if the experiences aren't the same. ( I like character creation though.)

It's well known that the definition of an rpg is quite subjective but this is the first time i see someone calling a game more rpg cause you can change the name lol. i'm a big rpg fan and i always kept the original name of my character. in the end i expect a deep story with character development and yes, i do expect names fitting to the world of my char.
