I am so excited to have found this vid! Believe it or not, my ex husband and I saw this flying over Colorado Springs Colorado. Back in 1998!! We were driving northbound on I25 to our warehouse to deliver newspapers that night. So it was early morning, around 1am. I wanted to call and report it, but my ex husbands father worked at Norad and had instructed him that if he ever saw anything like this to NEVER call.
Just saw 3 red lights right next to each other horizontally, traveling very slowly. went to get a closer look and they had vanished. Yes, tonight is bonfire night, but this was no firework.

I live in superior colorado about 5 minutes away from lafayette and I think I may have seen this same thing. I noticed something not moving but then after like 5 minutes it turned into a big orange orb. would like to hear what others saw that night...

It was an awesome sight, and 100% not a chinese lantern (as I've also seen these many times from the same place and the look completely different). As we get better and better video recording devices (HD cameras anyone?) its going to get harder and harder to deny the truth. I'm going out to specifically buy a super high end res camera for moments like these. I've seen a UFO before back in 2002 over Denver about 3-4pmish while the sun was setting. It sat there glimmering like an orange star, moved quickly to a different position for about another minute then shot off. Be prepared, cos you'll never know when you'll see one.

I generally don't believe in these things, come up with ideas to explain them. But actually seeing this, then finding the video weeks later is insane. Did anyone else see them in Colorado Springs? If so, did it make sound? Too me they sounded like helicopters. only the lights stayed in perfect sync with one another and had no variations as far as distance and angle. Colorado Springs is south of Denver, and sound wouldn't travel that far. It seemed to be in the southern part of the city.

When you get the turnips from NASA telling you they are just Chinese lanterns, ask the vegetables where you can buy Chinese lanterns that stay in formation in exactly the same spot in the sky, before moving off faster than the eye can record.
@flippinecc Actually, to my knowledge no one from NASA has said they were chinese sky lanterns. That has only come from people who comment here who don't WANT to believe it could be anything else. Actually, the sky lantern was the most likely scenario based on what I have seen. But when I viewed the NASA video from the Atlantis Space Shuttle, and they see the exact formation in space and don't know what it is, that's pretty hard evidence to me that it may be something extraterrestrial.

I saw a stealth bommer for the first time last we directly ove my house. The sound was low but i still hered it it had no lights on and flew very low and slow. i wounder if this is the same thing or a similer craft. the stealth bomer is over 30 years old. and desined before world war 2 by germany I am ready to see what the new fleat looks like.
i too once saw lights in the sky(in new delhi india) they were like tiny stars and flied in a square formation, also went on and off in a certain pattern and moved across the sky very slowly. this was 3 years back. freaky. this video seems authentic to me. also the lights i saw were white. guess the the little green guys come in different ufos.
@udeymudgal17 i saw almost the exact same thing, during a concert of muse in the netherlands last year, when i looked sideways 90 degrees left away from the stage. At first i thought it was part of the lightshow of the concert, but where the lights were and how they were moving it couldn't be. Also the night didn't set completly so it wasn't completly dark, but i didn't see anymore than just the three lights. Don't know what it was, but it was definitely weird.

These are the NOSS 2-1 satellites that are tethered together and used by the U.S Navy. Sorry folks no UFO's here!! I've seen this many times...and if I can get the time, date and location this was observed I'm pretty sure I'll be able to track it down. And yes these satellites move extremely slowly. They're used for triangulation of navy ships at sea.

@alexlankhorst amazingly airships make no noise. they also travel the interstate paths. amazing becasue Lafayette is right next to 3 intersecting interstates. Its really amazing how they illuminate the corners of the "Ascender" so that while it is close to regular air traffic it wont get hit by a plane. On November 5 1990 I saw something that seems very similar in the sky at my home in France, 2,500 people are also seen (500 testimonies), at the time medias have spoken of as Russian rocket debris and then about meteorites.Le August 6 1990 Operation Desert Shield was started. For me, this is a test flight over France, which had sold the radars to Saddam to know if the F-117 stealth technology left a signature.
Oddly today, they have seeing UFOs in the US' sky.
They said it was flares and I can say 100 percent that this is not what they are. I live close to a air base and I have seen them drop flares and they most of the time will separate as the go down. Each flare will show a big difference in closeness to each other as they descend. When the aliens do land they will still say the light are flares.

Flares suspended perfectly for 8-10 mins then released and drifting N? We could check the wind dir. to verify. One disappeared before the other 2, as I saw it.

@electrofymyiz We checked the wind direction with the National Weather Service and verified that the wind that evening at approx. 3000-5000 feet was going another direction. It's not balloons nor is it sky lanterns. Check out the NASA video taken from the Space Shuttle Atlantis. They saw they exact same configuration above the earth's atmosphere and had no clue what it was. It's on YouTube.

NOT red Chinese lanterns, because the flame keeping lanterns floating in the air is ORANGE in color and can be clearly seen from the ground. In the footage there is no sign of the orange fire (flame) so not Chinese lanterns. No matter what color the lantern you can always notice the Orange flame from below. Do you see Orange flames NO YOU DON'T.

@rap1800 No, it's not flares. I am an airman in the United States Air Force and I can tell you that those aren't flares. Flares don't stay lit that long and don't hover in place, nor are they that spherical. Most likely they are high altitude military planes, probably KC10s.

I hate to burst the UFO bubble here, but these look like flares dropped from military planes. That's why they flicker and slowly move away from each other. If they were attached to some kind of craft, they would remain the same distance apart, which these do not.

I generally don't believe in these things, come up with ideas to explain them. But actually seeing this, then finding the video weeks later is insane. Did anyone else see them in Colorado Springs? If so, did it make sound? Too me they sounded like helicopters. only the lights stayed in perfect sync with one another and had no variations as far as distance and angle. Colorado Springs is south of Denver, and sound wouldn't travel that far. It seemed to be in the southern part of the city.

@flippinecc Actually, to my knowledge no one from NASA has said they were chinese sky lanterns. That has only come from people who comment here who don't WANT to believe it could be anything else. Actually, the sky lantern was the most likely scenario based on what I have seen. But when I viewed the NASA video from the Atlantis Space Shuttle, and they see the exact formation in space and don't know what it is, that's pretty hard evidence to me that it may be something extraterrestrial.

I saw a stealth bommer for the first time last we directly ove my house. The sound was low but i still hered it it had no lights on and flew very low and slow. i wounder if this is the same thing or a similer craft. the stealth bomer is over 30 years old. and desined before world war 2 by germany I am ready to see what the new fleat looks like.

i too once saw lights in the sky(in new delhi india) they were like tiny stars and flied in a square formation, also went on and off in a certain pattern and moved across the sky very slowly. this was 3 years back. freaky. this video seems authentic to me. also the lights i saw were white. guess the the little green guys come in different ufos.

@udeymudgal17 i saw almost the exact same thing, during a concert of muse in the netherlands last year, when i looked sideways 90 degrees left away from the stage. At first i thought it was part of the lightshow of the concert, but where the lights were and how they were moving it couldn't be. Also the night didn't set completly so it wasn't completly dark, but i didn't see anymore than just the three lights. Don't know what it was, but it was definitely weird.

These are the NOSS 2-1 satellites that are tethered together and used by the U.S Navy. Sorry folks no UFO's here!! I've seen this many times...and if I can get the time, date and location this was observed I'm pretty sure I'll be able to track it down. And yes these satellites move extremely slowly. They're used for triangulation of navy ships at sea.

Its really amazing how they illuminate the corners of the "Ascender" so that while it is close to regular air traffic it wont get hit by a plane. On November 5 1990 I saw something that seems very similar in the sky at my home in France, 2,500 people are also seen (500 testimonies), at the time medias have spoken of as Russian rocket debris and then about meteorites.Le August 6 1990 Operation Desert Shield was started. For me, this is a test flight over France, which had sold the radars to Saddam to know if the F-117 stealth technology left a signature.
Oddly today, they have seeing UFOs in the US' sky.

They said it was flares and I can say 100 percent that this is not what they are. I live close to a air base and I have seen them drop flares and they most of the time will separate as the go down. Each flare will show a big difference in closeness to each other as they descend. When the aliens do land they will still say the light are flares.

Flares suspended perfectly for 8-10 mins then released and drifting N? We could check the wind dir. to verify. One disappeared before the other 2, as I saw it.

@electrofymyiz We checked the wind direction with the National Weather Service and verified that the wind that evening at approx. 3000-5000 feet was going another direction. It's not balloons nor is it sky lanterns. Check out the NASA video taken from the Space Shuttle Atlantis. They saw they exact same configuration above the earth's atmosphere and had no clue what it was. It's on YouTube.

NOT red Chinese lanterns, because the flame keeping lanterns floating in the air is ORANGE in color and can be clearly seen from the ground. In the footage there is no sign of the orange fire (flame) so not Chinese lanterns. No matter what color the lantern you can always notice the Orange flame from below. Do you see Orange flames NO YOU DON'T.

@rap1800 No, it's not flares. I am an airman in the United States Air Force and I can tell you that those aren't flares. Flares don't stay lit that long and don't hover in place, nor are they that spherical. Most likely they are high altitude military planes, probably KC10s.

I hate to burst the UFO bubble here, but these look like flares dropped from military planes. That's why they flicker and slowly move away from each other. If they were attached to some kind of craft, they would remain the same distance apart, which these do not.
FYI, the "mysterious" triangle craft spotted over Arizona in 1997 was proven to be military flares.

Why doesn't anyone EVER have nightvision setting on their cameras? With everyone having personal computers in their phones these days, you'd think we would be able to get a decent shot of whatever is causing the lights at this point.

Looks like the same mile wide V craft witnessed by thousands silently gliding at low altitude thruout Arizona in March 1997. These unexplained sightings seem to be happening at a faster pace worldwide or is it that people are starting to notice, film them, and then share the footage on Youtube for all to see?!?

The explanation that it is lanterns is not credible.

UFO's are harmless, they have been here for over 60 years. After all this time I must say I am completely amazed people still refuse to acknowledge them. They can't cope with this idea that life exists outside of the four walls that are surrounding them.

is exceeded only by the arrogance of those who claim they KNOW there is no God (IE narrow-minded "scientists") Atheism is a dogma. Explain why the Parthenon is beautiful. Is this just an "opinion"?

@Emoshons God is a way of conceptualizing something that is very difficult to think about or explain. The earliest concepts were polytheistic, and the monotheist concept replaced those beliefs. The religions that adhere to the polytheist concept are not dynamic impulses anymore but remnants of the past. Judaism and Islam, both monotheist, mutually exclusive, are obviously still in a dynamic stage of development; their impulse is not spent.
I try not to believe anything.
