Whitney is a great singer. Her best work was with early Clive Davis. He groomed her to interpret music to tell a story but not to overdo it. I agree with the commenters on here about comparing Whitney Houston to Celine Dion, Charice, and Mariah Carey. There isn't any comparison. Whitney was, is, and always will be the undisputed Queen of Pop. Whitney is second to NO ONE, especially not Mariah Carey (that's for the fool who thinks Whitney is second to Mariah. UGHHH!!!)! Not all show or feel physical manifestations of it, but when I see my fellow black people suffering from it, it affects me . it it does not affect you good for you. Read up on Post Traumatic Slavery disorder. for me it explains why even those blacks that are doing well sometimes(sometimes !! ) still seem to fall into the traps that the less fortunate do. I am always very happy to here when one of us has not been so affected

Whitney is a great singer. Her best work was with early Clive Davis. He groomed her to interpret music to tell a story but not to overdo it. Sometimes black singers tend to over sing a song to the point of missing to tell a story, esp with a standard like this. She has a pop soul that I appreciate, but has the voice to keep it classy, but not here.Interpreting a song is what made Diana good.Whitney is nothing like Mariah. Some of that came from Minnie Ripperton.Remember the pioneers.
