But a lot of people try discouraging me like my friend wants me to join his band but I said that's fucking pointless and when you said everything is mental you are right three months ago I thought I would never run three miles but two days ago I did and my le

  • @killa231382 dude, i'm seventeen and i'm reaching for that same goal, OOORAHH, but say to those people there a bunch of pussies and there the type of people that don't want something more and keep going! Also, i did cross country and my coach had the whole team run 6 miles and my first time I was only able to run 2 miles, so I didn't want to give but an over all story at the end of the season those 6 miles are now easy, again keep going I hope I see you in boot camp!

  • Comment removed

  • Haha. My husband (bf at the time) did join the Navy. He's 8404, aka Devil Doc. Currently at Lejeune, looking at some orders. We love our Marines- the big mean dogs and the little mean dogs- and to be frank, we aren't particularly looking forward to a Naval Command. He's chomping at the bit to go back to Sangin and continue doing what he does best. God bless our servicemen. Never forget. 'Rah

  • I'm a 9th grader so what is the best way to train for the next four years to get in shape for what will be thrown at me

  • hey bro im 9th grade 220 75% muscle im i a fat bodie or what

  • Aight man, I'm a Freshman in highschool and I want to join the Marines...should I train both mentally and physically for 4 years?

  • @DemonicVampire25 it doesnt take tha long but it ll help if yu start

  • @DemonicVampire25 Yes, you shoudl. Run with minimum clothes on during the winter and crawl in the mud :P

  • @DemonicVampire25 Yea you should and since your a freshman Do JROTC even if it isn't a marine corps ROTC it helps with the one thing all marines have to have BEARING

  • @DemonicVampire25 Unless you're seriously out of shape, I'd wait until the last year. There's really no point in trying to prepare mentally for it, but you should start training physically about a year before.

  • @DemonicVampire25

Always better to be prepared so yeah......i know that with my recruit officer and the other poolees we meet once a week to pt and you should really look into that. They'll most likely let you go if you have something like that from where you're from.

  • @DemonicVampire25 Cross country team. Running is all mental.

  • My dad and mom say I cant do it my dad was a Marine for 8 years and I need help on this because my dad says I wont be able to but these video's on YouTube are saying that you can make it because it is all mental can somebody please help me even though I'm 14 I want to serve my country and protect my family and nation but my mom says that she wont come to graduation at MCRDSD if I join and she says she will never talk to me again but I want to serve my country PLEASE HELP ME

  • @ZombieAlein try showing her videos, like the tribute ones. sit down with her and explain. after a certain age you can sign up without parental consent. and if she doesnt come to your grad then fuck her, cheers future devildog

  • @Delacade I have bein showing her these vids and tribute vids since I was like 10 and I have wanted to be a U.S.Marine since I was 8 and I am going to go because my Mom and Dad raised me to be Patriotic but now my mom does not want me to go but my dad says I can go but I wont make it but I think he is just joking but I really want to be a Marine because I look up to the Flag Raisers,John Basilone, the moto, and the Eagle Globe and Anchor, and my Dad more thn my mom who went to college for 10 years

  • @ZombieAlein Keep with it bro, it'll all workout in the end.

  • @Delacade I know it will I want my Hat that goes with the dress blues next to my dads in our living room and I want the to claim the Title MARINE more than anything else in the world

  • LMAO

fucking squids always always always say that

  • Thanks man, i leave dec 13 im ready to get out of this town and start my life

  • Is it harder for skinny guys? Kinda hard for me to gain weight since I'm 6'3 and burn calories just sitting on my ass all day :/ I don't have a problem doing push ups and stuff, but pull ups and things like that are a problem.

  • thanks for the tips man, seriously i been wondering about some of this stuff.

  • i spent 6 months at PI with the drill instrcutors i was a fatbody and didnt train at all before went in at 250 came out at 160 the crucible was the best part of trainning the physical stuff is cake as long as your mentally prepared just do what your told he coulda done this video in 1 sentance ....... Follow Orders and you will be fine your never right no need to try to be.

  • swore in today, leaving in 7 days. pretty nervous.. but i'm ready to get this on the road

  • @Earlosaur dam man. when i sworn in I had to wait 5 monthes. how you get to leave so soon?

  • Comment removed

  • @skaterjrd99 not a good reason to join bro

  • I enlisted today cant wait to hold the globe and eagle

  • @tfhalo

What a gay and irrelevant question.

  • @drfreeze58 , hey I leave that day too, haha but my MOS is Aviation Services. see you down there, if youre going to Parris Island.

  • Does neurofibromstosis type 1 disqualify me i have it i have a weak case of it i had never had a complication with it and i want to joint the military i thinking between the army and usmc

  • I actually have a question. During the 12 weeks, besides wearing desert digitals, jungle camo, PT gear, etc., what other uniforms do you wear?

  • yuppp gp sigle bro, im thinking off going to the usmc so ill keep this in mind

  • @WhatsGoodDjApe for real i have a friend thats leaving in a week, so fuck it i wana be a part of that

  • Great video bud. I leave for boot camp on Nov 7 but I'm trying to leave early so I'm on standby and my M.O.S I'd Infantry. I agree with you 100% on what you said.

  • If any of you are serious about one day enlisting into the Marine Corps, be sure to read through the Future Jarheads Website. It is a website written by a USMC veteran for all of you. You can Google Future Jarheads, or just use the link on my profile page. Semper Fi!

  • my real good friends in the marines and im joining to , im fresh out of highschool, and my best friend was in bootcamp and his girl cheated on him, so yea your right. semper fi do or die

  • Alright, what is the height and weight requirements, if any, to join the USMC?

  • @beesonit its on a scale depending on your height.

  • @digbigpig That doesn't come anywhere close to answering my question. What is the height requirement?

  • @beesonit usmilitary.about.com/od/marinejoin/l/blintweightmale.htm

    ever heard of google?

  • Whats the chance of going to war?

  • @burdytav000 6 months mandatory in the field i believe.

dont join the military thinking you can get out of putting your life on the line. we arent so few and proud because we sit in desks not taking any risks

  • @digbigpig dw bout me, thats my desision if i want to put my life on the line.

  • is that all you guys do now!! thats half the sh it i went through. you should have went before it turn into mommys boot camp

  • Here is my question do lot of people DIE?

  • I'm a 5'10 scrawny distance runner. I can bench 90 max. Is this a problem? Like how much more do I need to be able to lift?

  • @TrekkingArizona if you wanna know what the requirements are you can look up height weight standards for Marines. and can you run 1.5 miles in 14 minutes or less and at least 3 pullups/chinups and max of 20. and do crunches minimum of 50 max of 100 in 2 minutes. it is ok if you exceed these standards ie run faster more pullups and crunches. if you are really thinking about joining the Marines talk to your local recruiter. even if you are not old enough yet i hope they can help you out as i would

  • good tips, thanks. I'm joining 2013. For sure and I'm doing it for my country which is good enough benefits for me, and my bro just graduated boot camp September 16th Bravo Company Platoon 1035.

  • Haha I laughed when you said if everyone joined it would be a perfect world! Hooarh it would! I leave in january for bootcamp! Can't waitt!

  • im 26 am i too old for boot camp + i'm kind of on the sensitive side dont want to kill anyone

  • Comment removed

  • nice lips ;)

  • ok so im a jr in hs and im thinking about joining the marines because they'll pay for college. Is that a bad reason to join/ not good enough reason? :/ also, whats the chance they accept girls?

  • @burdytav000 If you want school payed for join the National Guard or Army. Marines will accept girls of course but if you're only looking to pay for college Marines shouldn't even be a thought.

  • @0311Duce the montgomery GI bill is the same for all the military. the Marines dont get shortchanged and yes all the military does get 100% tuition assistance while on active duty. i dont know why you think its different. do some research first please. i was a recruiter and i know what the differences are.

  • @tboy221 I know what the differences are, or lack there of. Marines actually have a few more/different benefits than other branches. I do my research when I give advice or speak. Me saying don't join the Marines to pay for college has nothing to do with the GI Bill. It has to do with the fact that Marines become Marines to be Marines, not for schooling. Schooling is a bonus. Talk with a Army recruiter their main points involve college, not Marines. So that's that... I do my research bud.

  • @0311Duce ok you dont know what the recruiters are selling. those tags give recruiters the opertunity to sell the Marine Corps. if you didnt pick college/school then they arent going to tell you about school. people tell the recruiters what is most important to them. so yes the recruiters will sell you on schooling if thats what you care about. everyone in the Marine Corps join for their own reasons. and yes some are for the school. and many is because the Marine recruiters talked to them first

  • @tboy221 National Guard and Army recruiters came to a local high school, and talked to some kids while holding a benefit type deal that's raising money or something. Anyway I listened to kid after kid go talk to these group of three guys by an event and every single time without fail their main point was school not once was it about doing something great for your country it was how to benefit YOURSELF. Marine recruiters talk about being apart of something great and everything else second.

  • @0311Duce Marine recruiters talk about many things and yes doing something great for your country is one of them. if you look up Marine benefit tags you will see the 13 topics we discuss. when we do interviews we ask questions to see what is important to the prospect ie kid. then we tell them how the USMC can help them achieve their goals. dont get me wrong i love the USMC and it can help anyone meet their goals. but most people join because of the USMC's history.

  • @0311Duce thanks i guess.......... :/

  • Hey when joining the marines what the hardest job or position you can go to after bootcamp im only 15 i really want to become a marine man,....anything you can tell me would help, thanks

  • Great vid im in dep right now so if i have any questions ill bebsure to ask.

  • @rockman5820

Hey man, awesome video cannot wait to go I am in the Delayed Entry Program, for the Marines I got on track to graduate early, my MOS is looking like intelligence even though my first choice was Military Police. I go to boot camp February 7th Been working out alot, and we get some Pvts and PFCs who get back and have told us that Hiking before hand might be the biggest thing we can do. But still can't fully prepare for it.

  • Future Marines be sure to read through the Future Jarheads website. It is a site for all of you made and run by a Marine. You can find the link on my profile page, or you can search for "Future Jarheads". OOH RAH!

  • Dumb hippies.

  • @dwrussell96 fucking Mahu iliowahine

  • 49 people are call of duty generals

  • THANK YOU FOR THE ADVICE BRO I CANT WAIT TO JOIN IN A COUPLE MONTHS MAYBE SEE U THERE USMC FOR LIFE

  • This kid isn't even in. Ur numbers and facts are way off mark. Boot is easy. I'm actually in. You say mcrd. Mcrd means marine corps recruit depot you never said parris island or San Diego. Then u said reaper that's San Diego younstill have a boot hair cut so you're still a boot you advent been to a ball

  • @lmay247 fuck you

  • @dwrussell96 Maybe if you knew what was true, you wouldn't be acting like a bitch. He says 6 months of training yet bootcamp is only 13 weeks long. He talks about his graduation date like it's nothing important, yet I've wrote mine a million times over for all the paper work I have to do. He should know that. The guy says you run a lot... fuck no. I ran maybe 4 times total. He says bootcamp is hard... the only thing hard about it is following orders. This guy talks like a motarded poolie anyways

  • @BlazeYaD3ad : Said you ran only 4 times during basic? You gotta be kidding me, right?. Are you referring specifically to the 3 & 5 mile runs? I was in P.I. Jan- March (or early April) in '82. We ran a lot! As for grad date; I don't recall mine either. Then again we're talk'in 3 months shy of 30 yrs ago. However I do recall the exact date I departed for P.I. (laughs).

  • @DonTerhune1200cc Haha yeah it's got a lot easier over the years... mostly i guess in the last 5 to 10. It's more about studying and drilling, but all the freetime is spent getting fucked with doing random exercises in random places. I literally only ran two 1.5 mile, two 3 mile PFTs, and one ~4 mile moto run, so 5 times total. 30 yrs is a big difference... no way the the Corps could be the same as back then.

  • So is it better to get a degree before enlisting?

  • @tobiasJefferson12 :Enlisted Marine here ('82-'85). Degree is the ticket. Some jarhead may give me flack for saying this, but "you're way better off doing ROTC & becoming a commissioned officer". Knowing what I know now, that's what I'd have done. Try to align yourself w/ an MOS that'll serve you well for a good career jump start in the civilian world after you're discharged. 4 yrs out of your short youth is a very large percentage of it. Making the best of it is a wise choice. Hope this helps.

  • Hey man im 15,..and my dad was a speacial service marine sniper,...and i really want to join..can you maybe tell me what its like man if you can i would really appricate it

  • i have a recruiter, im studying for the asvab. and now im ready to take it. Im 18.

i wanna be a fucking marine. i wanna say ooorah. its what i wanted to be ever since i started watching war movies. i want to have that title.

  • @jbug1104 That's a funny thing ain't it.

  • @jbug1104 well do you want the TITLE and FAME or do you want to serve so it makes you a better person?

  • Shit i hope my gf doesn't leave when I leave for Boot.

  • Thank you so much for the video man, I appreciate it!! I'm only a sophomore in high school right now but I plan on joining and this really helped

  • @916GR - If you are serious about one day enlisting into the Marine Corps, be sure to read through the Future Jarheads Website. You can Google it or use the link on my profile page. It is a website made by a Marine veteran for those who wish to one day serve. Semper Fi and OOH RAH!

  • Nice vid man. I just wanted to know if the traditional hazing is still on in the USMC. Just wanna know if youve experienced going throught it.

  • future marines? so weve alrady made it now huh?

  • Hey man great video, I have a very honest and good marine sgt as my recruiter, he understand that I was open to all the branches and his job is to sway me over to the marines, I've always wanted to join the marines but my only set back is being gone back and forth fast between home and deployments cause I want to be MP. I'm fixed on the navy and marines, I'm leaning on the marines right now, it's just for me I want a family and I want the hardest training and education I can get, but marines ar

  • Stop talking shit about our troops I bet you yell baby killer you don't know what they endure so go smoke some weed which is supporting terrorism btw and live in fantasy

  • @reddragon52894 yeah buddy in san diego. I think its based on where you live.

  • "ill tell ya, these days ah theres a lot of hippies out there, they'll think your crazy for joining all that stuff like that.. just brush them off they dont know what they're missing" lmao

  • @300MUSIC thas wusup bro good luck stay safe

  • I'm shipping out today!

  • WAS UP...AHH IAM GANA BE A FUTURE MARINE AND IM 100% SURE I WANNA JOING I MET UP WITH A RECRUITER TODAY BUT IM GOING TO BE IN THE RESERVES PLUS GOING TO SCHOOL AT THE SAME TIME AND I WANNA KNOW WHAT IS THE EDUCATION LEVEL LIKE THERE? ANOTHER QUESTION I WANT TO ASK IS WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE RESERVES? THANK YOU.

  • BOOTCAMP ANSWERS

I am a poolee, I've been training and going to PT, I don't leave for bootcamp till most likely next year. However I am still worried about the swimming. I don't know how to swim, never learned, I can't tread water either. Will that affect me, and will they drop me? Or will they work with me an teach me to swim and tread water? Please if you can answer these questions it will help me out a lot. Thanks!

  • Depending if that baby grows up to be terrorist, better to get rid of it now then later, nobody's born with hatret it has to be given

  • @longame and I'm a baby killer too! Right?

  • Nice video. I did two tours in Afghanistan, I'm not sure if you have served. But the thing is I'm starting to forget things like names, when I was back there I told myself if its not life thretning dont care about it, I guess I brought I back home with me hahahaha but you're right about the Marines you go in stupid as a mulle and twice as ugly come out a MAN ready for a family or anything that life throws at you. Sorry if I have misspelled any words even foreners can become MARINES

  • Shipping out July 26!

  • @cpizzle9 Camp Pendleton? Im suppose to ship out June 25 but trying to get that bumped down to later date.

  • i'll be join in the next 2years 2 more years of high school then i'am going what to sing of at less 4 years i have whanted to be a cop into i was 12 then thot army but no usmc on the frountline that is whan i whnat to do with my life fight for the county that i love so much about to trun 16 at 17 a can join but have to fines school

  • Great video

  • @longame go the FUCK away.

  • @longame "...childish and ignorant people..." yet you purposely come look for Military videos only to disrespect them? Grow up asshole.

  • tylermcleod the marines is a branch themselves, but they started out being a corps in the navy, and i agree that every branch is important and has more balls than any civilian

  • I have been thinking about joining non-stop. I talked to my guy friends in the marines and family that has join in the past to gain some insight into it before I join. You helped, too! Thank you so much!

  • nice video bro im 14 and cant wait to join thanks for the help bro

  • @AlexHeinen14 - If you are serious about one day enlisting into the Marine Corps, make sure you read through the Future Jarheads Website. You can Google it or use the link on my profile page. It is an excellent site for future Marines.

  • @longame Why won't you answer my question?!?! If a nation invaded our our country, was poised to strike, or had struck the United States, what would you propose we do? You keep avoiding it!

  • Hey I'm only 14 years old and I wanted to join the marines for years now. But my parents says to join the navy cause it's less dangerous but I think the navy is for pussies who don't know how to shoot. But I wanted to know what you have to buy for thearines like if you need to buy guns or gear and what marines do in the field, thanks

    Charley

  • @eclipseballer33 The navy are not pussies, attitude like this and dont even think about joining.

They give you everything you need when you join. You dont pay anything.

  • @eclipseballer33 lol the navy is for pussies? you obviously do not know what branch killed Osama Bin Landin. SEAL team 6 is part of the Navy dumb ass. the Navy and the Air Force are always the first ones to go into battle. WAYY before the Marines do. None of the people that join the Armed Forces are pussies. Learn something you idiot.

  • @eclipseballer33 The Marines are a branch of ther navy so calling the navy pussies is calling the marines pussies and no one in any branch of military is a pussy. Every branch is important.

  • @longame I was speaking hypothetically. You should answer my question in a hypothetical sense. HYPOTHETICALLY, if a nation invaded our nation, was poised to strike, or had struck the United States, what would you propose we do? I don't think your "NO WAR" and "idiots holding a gun" rhetoric would get us anywhere then. Those "idiots" who are "holding a gun" will lay down their life so that yours can continue. Sometimes, in order to maintain peace, you need to aggressively put down the aggressor.

  • @longame

Well here is an intelligent point then... If you wish peace, how do you stop those who wish war? If your enemy is invading your country and you wish peace, there is no reason for him stop, it is only easier for him to defeat, enslave, or kill you.

Answer this: When debate, compromise, and diplomacy fail... and the enemy is on your door step, what is there to do but "take up the gun"?

  • Thanks for the video, it really helped answer some questions. Me and my fiance are actually going in together, so the being away from each other thing wont be a problem. Anyways, keep your head up. hopefully, one day we will have that perfect world. Good luck Marine, and keep safe! sincerely, your future brother in arms.

  • @longame i do agree that the it would be eay tfor a goverment todo what it wants but you are forgetting that most of our politicians were in the army marines air force and even militia so these politicians dont see these people as pawns tht can be easily replaced they respect them for what they do or they would just start up a draft if they thought they were so replacible

  • @longame

Look kid, you can attempt to prove this to me, and I still won't care.

I'm doing this so it can give me a future. You can be a basement dweller all your life and complain how your life sucks and no one is going to care.

  • @longame

I can almost guarantee that your some fat kid trying to blow off steam on the internet.

Why should I argue back? You know nothing about the Marines Corps and not willing to learn so their is no point.

  • @longame

Sports are nothing like the Marine Corps.

This kid is hilarious xD Your probably some fat kid sitting behind a computer mad because your too over weight to join.

  • @longame

Learning discipline, becoming fit, actually doing something with my life.

you probably won't even last one day in Physical Training xD
