@321juanc I love my kyosho gt2 but yes this is faster. Its a 1/5 scale compare to the kyosho 1/8. The kyosho can out handle the FG and can achieve top speed faster, but the fg at stock top speed is faster. My other vids with the corvette body is much much faster than the Kyosho. It basically makes it look like its standing still. The FG on this track can reach 85mph. The kyosho at best will be 60's. totally different cars, both are great cars.

AJ youre very polite!! most people here are talking utter bollocks, fg doing 70+ is really at the top end without serious work, and that track is massive and makes the car not look as fast as it is specialy on the back straight but wen it goes past its really movin, a guy at our club has an fg 2 speed with a oddified engine that hit 95mph with a powerboat pipe! but that was in a straight line that track looks vicious to drive on ! keep up the good work AJ !!

@levrone007 Thanks bud. Yeah most of the FG cars with basic bolt on can do 70. I just completed a full straight line top speed car and have not tested yet. I used the Abbate 260 motor which supposed to rev 21K with a single chamber pipe. Theoretical speed is 100+ but I know it will never hit that. I'll be lucky if it gets 90+ with heavy aero mods.

@AJfishing yep this guys car was over geared an useless other than top speed it was an experiment and his engine was tuned for a powerboat.. without the watercooling so not useable but those engines knock out a good 7-8hp but need to be water cooled. hope u get on well with that motor, im looking to make a more useable fast fg so ill prob come looking for advice sometime!! ps the diff / shock mod blew my head off that really handles!! il be very interested to see wot u think of .....

....the Abbate 260 motor, there are a lot of crap engines and pipes out there to meet a demand eg 29 and even 30.5cc but they dont rev so no top end, im looking for a well tuned motor for touring fg's, over here in uk oddified or swerft tune do good motors with a good samba pipe and they seem to run rings round these 'bling' engines we see a lot of good luck mate lol

well i got this f1 model thats a 1/10 scale...and its soooooo much faster man...it does 105 easy...and im not lying...3 gears....it sounds like shit though...and i got a custom paddle turner too...its sooo nice...and also...no joke...my uncle set me up with a controller looks exactly like a steering wheel, so when i turn it right, it goes right, left, it goes left....man i need a camera so i can upload this monster

@westeh ...i uploaded the video about a week after i got the car and my mom found videos on my youtube that were less than appropriate :( so she deleted all my videos and the file that i saved the videos in on my computer...including a video of me doing around 90 on my public road..i live in west virginia and i really only get about a car a day passing through my neck of the woods...my house is in the mountains and i have a 6 mile straight downhill. i used our land rover to film the car

97 is very very very fast. congrats. You probably have the fastest FG. Ive raced against alot of FGs that are much faster on this track but they can't finish the race. For some reason they all like to hit the fence.

The idea on this track is how fast can you make it without crashing. THe car in the video is now doing over 70mph on this track on STOCK engines and has over 750 laps logged. ..

FG Sportslines are 53 Stock on this track. I've heard it being around high 40's to low 50's.

what kind of arrangements do you have with the track owner to run there? I know its a public track but i also know that bikes use it. are there set times to use it?

Hi, this is a bike track and RC cars are actually not allow on it. If you do go on it and the bikers show up, they have the right of way which basically means you must leave. I only get on it once in a while when there is no one there. Its a heavy fine if the bikers complain.

I've got a sportline 08 as well. Audi DTM body. Mine isn't stock by any means, race ported 27cc Zen, 2-speed tranny and Samba 6 pipe. Clocked in the neighborhood of 65 mph on a straigh drag run of about 330 ft. We used the drag lights with the sensors so no human error in the equasion. Give or take an mph due to system calibration.

But these cars a very fast. I wish I had that oval where I live with my setup...

Yes, the FG is faster and much heavier. The GT2 is a great car but I like this one better.
