When someone has 19 or more pets, it's called animal hoarding which someone will do to block out emotional trauma. It's also considered unethical and cruel even if the animals are well taken care of, so what's the difference if it's with children? Shouldn't it be even worse? Any sensible parent wouldn't want their children exposed on tv, there's definitely something not right with these people. You don't have to watch the show to know that.

Both parents are usually there, or out doing something with a handful of them. @jewleries Most working American moms leave their 6 week old babies at day-care and don't see them all day. Then, when the kids are 4-5, they send them to public school, and don't see them all day. Plus, with the public school system, they would be separated from their siblings all day. The Duggar kids know where their mom is and they know they're loved. They're all happy and well-adjusted. They're secure because their parents are together. They're not being yelled at or abused. Life is good.

I believe her self-identity is reproducing and giving birth. Both parents are usually there, or out doing something with a handful of them. At any given time spending a lot more time with any number of them than parents of latch-key kids, who have full-time jobs--many times overtime!--ever get to spend with theirs!
One can plainly see, they are not neglected, troubled, miserable, out-of-control children, but LOVED!

@jewleries Most working American moms leave their 6 week old babies at day-care and don't see them all day. Then, when the kids are 4-5, they send them to public school, and don't see them all day. Plus, with the public school system, they would be separated from their siblings all day. The Duggar kids know where their mom is and they know they're loved. They're all happy and well-adjusted. They're secure because their parents are together. They're not being yelled at or abused. Life is good.
