wow that chain looks really loose...is it just me?
he has reverse shifting...it's easier on the track. when you're fully leaned over on the left and need to upshift it's really hard to get your foot under the peg and push up to shift.
But it's a matter of preference. I believe Mat Mladin has standard shift while Spies has reverse/GP shift pattern. ... it's whatever you like :)
I know that you can clutchless-shift if you back off throttle and push lever into next gear and it works, but i heard it does a little damage to the gearbox, its safer to use clutch, is it perfectly safe with quickshifter?
Also did you have to open up gearbox and modify it a lot to have GP shifting, lots of work or not much work?
I've been using backward shifting since 1994, because I injured my left ankle and when I restarted riding it was a bit difficult to shift gears the standard way. So I "engineered" a way to adapt the gear shifter of my at the time FZR1000 to backward shifting and I've been using it since then, even on my R1's. It's very simple to do and you keep all the original parts, and when I got used to it I found it to be more user-friendly than the standard shifting.
@s4orce2001 Damn I wrote that comment ages ago and I haven't been on youtube since. Funny enough my bike has the same shift pattern now and mines a street bike too. Never going back!
@erniethefart The bazzaz QS system is state of thee art it will improve ur time . some people flip the shift leveler to reverse because there more comfortable that way mostly stunters do it because its easier to up shift durning a wheelie with reverse shift leveler. personally i perfer standered shift leveler
My traction control unit with the auto fuel mapping for my 06 r6 is on back order. What kind of gains are you getting? Is it better to set it up on the dyno or the track? Anyone out their using Bazzaz T/C let me know what you think?
show the numbers, and tighten that chain...
greeneyesudduction 1 month ago
The guy who made the dyno-run should have checked the chain first.

wtf was the point of this lame ass vid, where are the numbers it can pull??

why do you clutch-less shift? and why is your shifting totally opposite to regular bikes? :S
Mines down to first, and the rest are up.
But the guy on the vid goes up to first and rest down :S

the bike has a quickshifter, system that connects to the computer and cuts fuel when shifting and that is GP shifting, thats why is backwards.

@erniethefart that way its pushing the bike into gear rather than push it,much more positive changes

mate, tighten the chain abit, u lose hp with a looser chain

whats the point in doing a dyno tune? is this what you do when you instal a power commander?
rush2905 2 years ago
The point is you can manage all engine settings...
For a Track day or just a street ride you can set your HP high or low.
I have the power commander whit a powershifter

hey i was wondering if the chains on ur bike is loose... does it affect the bikes speed or something? im still new to this stuff.... thxs
GreenBayPackers81 3 years ago
can do man... acceleration more so and response time... it's a lot easier to pull wheelies on a bike with a tighter chain ;)

Fuck sake what a waste of time. Can anyone please tell me the power output of a standard 08 R1 at the rear wheel?
Thanks!!
Numberfucking1 3 years ago
why does it matter the power on the bike, when it changes from dyno to dyno.
i wanted my power/torque curve to be were i know the bike was fine and the right a/f ratio.
sorry i dont have a dyno queen ;-) this is just on search for real power.
s4orce2001 3 years ago
If the dyno has been calibrated the power shouldnt change.
I wanted compare the 08 R1 with my modified 03 model.
The 08 R1 has a claimed 180bhp at the crank but only produces 162bhp at the rear (or so Ive been told), I just wanted to see a dyno run to prove it.
Numberfucking1 3 years ago
well with the airbox fully compress we estimate about that. on the dyno is about 158

I installed my Bazzaz t/c qick shift unit on my 06 r6 this week. AWESOME stuff! WOW! If you have the money buy one.
I post install video soon, It all piggy backs into factory plugs easier than you might think.
