@baptistboi- No sir, you can't have the holy ghost without speaking in tonuges. Speaking in tongues is the evidence of the holy ghost. Having the holy ghost means you have recieved the sprit of God. In doing so, you will speak in a heavenly language. It's just like a gym/tennis shoe; when you go to buy a shoe, you don't ask for a tonuge..it just comes with it! Can't get the shoe without the tongue! There is a gift of tongues as well but all who have received the holy ghost will speak in tongues!

I feel that Father Hayes was not in any way criticizing any denomination, he was saying what the Bible says. God tells us to be ye holy for I am holy. He also tells us in His word that they that WORSHIP Him, must worship in SPIRIT and in TRUTH. That means one you must have the Spirit of God, which is the HOLY GHOST. I was born and raised a Baptist and I am saved, sanctified, and filled with the precious Holy Ghost. It's all about your mind and relationship with God, NOT your denomination.

That's right Holiness is a way of life. Be ye holy, for I am holy. That's what the word says. I bid God speed to any Baptist, methodist, etc. that preaches holiness and baptism in the holy ghost. The name on the outside don't mean nothing...It's the indwelling spirit of the Holy Ghost that matters!

The Holy Spirit came to give us power to be witnesses for Christ...not to speak in tongues!!! Tongues is a GIFT of the Holy Spirit!!! Everyone does not speak in tongues, but that makes them no less saved or Spirit-Filled!!! However, as we grow in Christ, He continually develops His gifts in us! There are numerous persons in my church that speak in tongues & others who don't!!! Bottom line is that its a gift of God & when He gets ready, He will grow His gifts in those He sees fit to do so with!!!

I believe Speaking in tongues is ONE sign,, not the ONLY sign,,, like, smoking and drinking isnt the ONLY things that defiles the Temple,,,they are just Two examples,,,as in gambling,,sum peeps preach against gambling and make other foolish financial decisions! or sum dont drink or smoke,, BUT,, dont eat right,,or excersize, and abuse their bodies in other ways!

I know people don't like the truth, But the Baptist and other denominations did not embrace the fullness of the Holy Ghost...until recent years....The Founder of the COGIC Dad MASON, was kicked out of the Baptist church because they would not embrace the Baptism of the Holy Ghost...Read your History people...But in recent years there has been a significant move..which has cause people to embrace these teachings...Baptist people got "Happy", but Holiness people embraced the tongues, dancing, etc.

I Do Not agree with that staement because personally I belong to the baptist church and I am saved, set apart, and filled with the Holy Ghost. Baptist Churches just like every other church have those who are Spirit filled and those who are just taking up space in the church and living any kind of way they can think of. It's not about who can show that they are living right but it's about living right period. God ss all and knows all. He's know who is TRUE to him and who is FAKE!!!!!!

@jassonss17 it wasnt that baptist didnt accept holyghost, they accepted only a portion of the manifestation of the holyghost... you could shout, scream, a little holy dance every now and then and a few other things depending on the church and pastor! the baptist church had many people who were anointed and touched by the holyghost but they would not allow the gifts like tongue speaking and prophecy to manifest!

AW, he said about 55 that you don't need to leave the baptist church to get the holy ghost. But you do need to leave whatever is NOT truth to be saved and God is not in falseness but will lead you out. For the Holy Ghost is given you to LEAD YOU AND GUIDE U INTO ALL TRUTH. I only wnet to the Langley location once as a child, but I can tell you that I returned to the Cottage Grove location and it was great. I went through a couple of recording sessions at that location and the choir was outstanding. The choir that Fatjer has today has some remnants of those days, but its a totally different choir. The Cottage Grove choir could not be touched no way no how. Michelle, Diane, Sharon, Larry, Larry, Esquilla, Leroy, and Glen were making history.
