QAF is a great series in my eyes. I watched when aired and have the entire 5 seasons that I view often. I think everyone love Justin....lol.. With out giving away the story of the 5 yrs, I will say it does show the growth and maturity of each of them. It really does show the hatred as well as love that gays experience as they grow. And shows in the end that gay ppl want nothing more than to live the life that everyone else does.
It obviously succeeded since it lasted five years and The L Word lasted six years, so I do not understand why no one has created a new show. I like that mainstream shows include gay characters, but it still one gay character for ten straight characters per show, so it is less.
Queer As folk is probably one of the most important pieces made for the gay genre. It defined the term Queer away from the derogatory. My favorite character is Brian. And you have to watch the whole series to understand why.
i've seen the whole series and i think you will really like it! justin and brian have the most amazing scenes together =) you will see justin's mom more and she is a good character. i absolutely love debbie! Dr Dave is okay, but i was never really in love with him. now, your probably on the first season based on what you said so i wont give away anything, but the beggining of the second season is my favourite part.... also: Gus<3
@GyThanksGd Thats why I love the series. Everyone is gay. Makes me feel good that its a family like that. Im fine with brian being sex crazed, I just want him to become a better person! Not that he has to. I just understand why he's single, and there are so many reason why he is, being like that is not admirable or something I want to emulate! Its his life though!

It had its flaws, but it is still one of my favourite series and I have watched it several times over.
It was the first, and still the only, series to be made for gay men, without any consideration of straight people.
Brian is pretty much the only character that remains "sex crazed" throughout all the seasons, while the rest of the characters pair off in some form.
