@AtotehZ This was done on National TV. It was also done live on stage at DEFCON 18. DEFCON and BlackHat are Fraud? Deviant Ollam and TOOOL are fraud? Kelly Alwood fraud? Be respectful and learn.
@KellyAlwood I'll pay you 10 dollars on a paypal account of your preference if you post a video where you escape cuffs this way.. it has include the following:
1 Be 101% unedited, preferably with the camera timer on screen.
2 Show the cuffs you're about to escape from in detail, link by link and the part that's in contact with your skin.
3 Of course they have to be original, of the same model as the ones you claim you've escaped from and not altered in any way.
@AtotehZ I have no idea if this guy was actually on instructor at SERE, but I do know for a fact that SERE does teach these types of skills, and the instructors that teach this course have so much knowledge its ridiculous. Without doubt the best thing the Air Force has to offer, which is why the rest of the branches send their High security clearance personnel there to learn.
@AtotehZ cute, why don't you listen to what he said... go buy a pair.. and actually put it to use.. when you break them don't bitch about the money you just lost... just feel like a fool
Hey, Kelly. Haven't heard back from you on the classes & where the DVDs will be available so I figured I'd try again. Like I said, I don't have much money (thats what I meant by, "not well funded") but I'd love to see demonstrations on how to make mantraps (ones that don't take a whole village to make). The early warning systems would be cool, too. I'm looking into the bird language topic, but could only find one resource on it itself & a few trick in tracking books.
Very, very cool. If I can swing it, I'll get to those courses. Are the ones you mentioned all civilians allowed? I'll definitely get those videos, though. Are they available soon, and if so, where? Not well funded, but would be worth the money I'd imagine. Especially if it had a lot of mantrapping (don't know if you meant that style specifically) That's one that you don't see often, and early warning ones were a useful thing that I hadn't even thought of.
P.S.- I had a thought: Do you have any videos/pictures of how to do the Apache Limp Wire Trap? Looked & couldn't find anything in books or videos. On that subject, do you have any recomendations for books/DVDs on stealth/high-speed survival? Heard a lot about it, but found little info. P.P.S.- Are there any "travel survival" references you'd recomend? Like problems that you can run into (especially now), if the nation's a warzone, how things run there. At a loss for researching ability.
@Atkrdu I do have a video up on the trap working. One that I built. But I dont have an instructional video of how to build it. I am currently filming a complete trapping video series right now though.
The advanced survival class or "Beyond SERE" course is probably what you are looking for. No real good books on it. Some are ok, with crap mixed in.
The "Urban Escape and Evasion" course will fit that bill perfectly. That is what we designed it for.
Thanks for the replies, Kelly. Honestly, I've never heard of G4TV, so I figured it was a European channel or something. I'll look those up next. In reference to your classes: do you have your own school, private lessons, maybe DVD demonstrations, etc... ? Also, what's the difference in info between professional & public? (not to criticize, but a civilian can be in the same place real quick) Just out of curiousity, does the military leave these guys hanging on info or what? Some people asked.
I only had so many characters YouTube would let me use, but I also wanted to ask if you could do a video demonstration. Maybe one in front of you & one behind your back? I don't mean to come off like I've got my hand out, but this is a very interesting topic. P.S.- How would you do duct tape restraints or those new wire ties that have the metal band in them? Also, what about regular chains, or wire for that matter? It seems the more I think about the topic, the more questions I develop.
@Atkrdu I have done videos of breaking cuffs several times on National TV. G4TV and CNN. Ive also picked them on National TV. And I do at every class I teach. The duct tape and flexicuffs and rope and all others are covered in the class. They are all Very escapable with several different methods. All are covered in my classes, Urban Escape and Evasion for professionals, and Anti-kidnapping classes for the public.
What about dislocating your thumb/wrist. I've heard about these & I'm not exactly sure how it would work, but it seems useful if you had not tools or you couldn't lock up the chain for whatever reason. Also, what about leg shackles? Any tricks for those, or for neck rings? I've always wondered how people don't cut their wrists doing stuff like this (or strongman feats & stuff like that), too. Couldn't you potentially cut through your muscles or slit your wrists with something like that?
@Atkrdu some people sure can "slip out" of cuffs. Dislocation or controsion is possible for a small number of people. I havnt found any restraint that I cannot get out of. I notify manufacturers about the flaws and weeknesses of their systems before sharing any information. When they deny it or flat out refuse to modify the equipment, that is when I share it. As proffesionals should know this stuff. Just this morning I facebooked an escape from custody.
I broke these on film on G4TV while they were on my wrist. This does work. You must get the correct lock up..And then it is easy..You must lock the cuffs in in ^ this (upside down V) formation..then press the opposite way..elbows together or crossed. Lock it up, and then pull your elbows apart. At around 13:15 in the video it explains this for you.
I've done this twice now since you developed the technique in LA and taught me. I hadn't thought about using dirt to roughen up the chains - great vid! I need to practice it a few more times.
I SIMPLY FLEX!

This will not work if the person is properly handcuffed behind their backs.
In fact I doubt it would work with hands in front as the point where the cuffs would bind wouldn't give enough room to snap them.
Looks great when the cuffs aren't on. Let's see you do it when they're on.

12:04, what you all came here for. You are welcome.
btw, the whole thing is worth watching to see the methodology behind it.

Fraud ^^ All I see here is "I can do this, I can do that... I just never got it on tape"
1 go to shed
2 secure it with tools
3 use metal rod to twist chain apart
4 make separate video
5 post on youtube
Can't believe you have this many fooled, or are you just deleting the responses that doesn't please you?

Can you break them behind your back?
TimpBizkit 5 months ago
@TimpBizkit I have not broken them behind my back with this method shown here. I have not tried yet though.
KellyAlwood 5 months ago
Will this technique work when your hands are handcuffed behind your back, palms facing outward?
With your palms facing outward, it would be very difficult to scratch the chains or link with a file.

You show the cuffs breaking when they are pressed together almost flat...kind of hard to do with hands inside them.
