@SexxyKevin yea not like the bullshit robot, wiggling ass, costumes and other types of dance they call posing. It's bodybuilding, not dancing with the stars. And don't tell me it's to entertain the audience. Audiences in the past were well entertained - mesmerized by the art of the muscular male form.
I just met Ed Corney in the Golds Gym in Modesto Ca. I saw his name on his weight beltand asked him if he was Ed Corney. He smiled and put his hand out like he had done this one thousand times with dorks like me in a million gyms in his life time. He still had the presence of a champion. That was pretty cool.
I saw Ed as the guest poser, at a Mr Sacramento, in the late 70s. His posing was spell-binding. Scott, Pearl, Draper, Zane and Corney. Those were my favorite years of the sport. Now it's a JOKE. I am 55 and still love lifting four nights a week, but the competitors now are embarrassing.
now thats what I call posing...todays guys are all like some clown male stripers...dont get me started on the looks...although now with dexter wining I hope the judges will make such decisions furter...
Without a doubt, one of the true legends in our sport and THE GREATEST POSER EVER!!! At 73 this guy still looks great. Met him 29 years ago. Great guy and fun to be around.
Best Poser of all Time! He looks simply amazing even at 51 years young! This is a perfect example of how weight training keeps your body younger and strong and without a doubt healthier!
Ed is NOT in a wheelchair! He's in the gym 7-days-a-week. It was 8 years ago that he had a stroke. He hasn't needed any help walking for years now. He's actually at the Arnold Classic right now as I write this doing a public appearance.
great ed!
up!

For my fellow Old School Brothers (...and Sisters) in Iron... THAT'S POSING! A textbook example of how Bodybuilding can be a form of art.

I agree; I am 70 now and lift regularly 3 times per week, but Corney was the best. I agree today's starts have gone just too far
