The one thing that makes me laugh and shake my head is the skimpy clothing. Sure, it's fanservice for the teenage boys, but... the clothes the female Soul series cast dress in would have been like screaming "I'm a witch! Please burn me!" in the 1600's.
@TFWC88 : But she was outrageously over-powerful in SC2. Still I love her move set. If you have SC4 Talim's fighting style is very good for creating superhero based characters that don't normaly use weapons. I used her style to make a Superman, Power Woman and Supergirl.
no, talim in Sc3 looks a filipino influenced by Arabian culture, in Ancient times Filipinos was greatly influenced by foreign cultures like Chinese, Arabian, Japanese, Indian, Spanish, & etc...
In SC4 its a mixed of her costumes from the previous games.
This character is the FIRST Filipina fighter ever. It's an honor that the creators of Soul Calibur 2 EVEN MADE a character that was anime / game inspired of my nationality. Thank you Namco.
@BentoBoxBobbyTV I agree with you in the sense that I appreciate the diversity in the series but she isn't really historically accurate. There were no villages in The Phillipines that was devoted to wind deities or windmills for that matter. Regardless she is one of my favorite character and I love her weapon style and story. I just wish they at least tried to be a little more accurate! xD
Yeah In the relatively new style of Doce Pares, which originates from the Philippines they practice tonfa, along with other weapons from other countries.
1 word in her wepon is tagalog(at least i think just 1). the luha in loka luha. luha mans tear as n tear drop. (to filipinos yes im pinoy if u wanna no)

xangelxkizzx 5 years ago
There are only 3 characters I use regularly: Talim, Nightmare, and Link (on the GC version) in that order.
