i bought a response trigger for my proect salvo! amazing absolutely amazing, best $80 ive ever spent! buy one if you have a tippmann you need it! im serious
how do u adjust your response trigger to shoot faster, or push back more. I just bought an a5 on ebay and it has an rt, but it doesnt shoot very fast...anyone help?
Ok so you got two options for the response trigger: A) turn the screw on the side inwards (clockwards if i remember correctly) and it will make sweetspotting it easier but tune it too much and the trigger will become hard to pull and shoot slow. B) Turn the opposite way, outwards counter clockwise, & sweetspotting it will make it go auto and shoot much faster but turn it too much & you wont be able to go auto anymore as the trigger will 'collapse' when you pull it. Tune it slowly & itll work :)
it pushes it back, so you hold the trigger, and the response unit puts a reflex-style response on the trigger. So you pull, it pushes. So you got a little see-saw action goin.
What mjharting said but to be more specific, YES it can make going semi shoot faster as it pushes the trigger back in place faster so you can pull the trigger sooner. Or when you sweetspot it the trigger bounces between your finger pressure and the pressure the Rt is giving in the opposite direction so your trigger keeps shooting as if its continuously getting pulled. In lamans terms you get full auto good for 15bps if tuned correctly.
@derekio137 no it doesnt, thats the e-trigger, not the response. if you hold it down it only fires once you have to let up a little pressure and find a sweet spot so the trigger can bounce far enough forward to reset the firing mechanism. Its kind of like bump firing a real gun.
hey, i have an A5 with the responce but I think I'm confused as to what it actually does...does the responce trigger allow for full/semi auto or does it just slow your ROF depending on the screw?
it pushes the trigger forward again. So you get a full-auto feel while it is technically a "semi". So it bounces the trigger back into position. You pull on it, and it pushes back.
actually only about 8-10 BPS...I dont want to shoot my whole hopper in 10 seconds you know :) Its rated up to the speed of the Cyclone which is 18 BPS
its pretty nice, Just pull the trigger, and it pushes back into place. So its a "reflex" type feel. The rail is the standard 3/8" dovetail rail found on BBguns, or in this case, on all the tippman guns(except the X7)
The foregrip? The foregrip is original. The Strap, that is a Rifle Sling my bro had laying around and was not getting used. It is pretty nice to have that. I got a collapsible stock, a black gas hose, and white dot rear aperture drum sights
you need to reset it...take out the co2 and turn the screw all the way so its tight....not really tight where you cant turn it but like factory setting....then put the co2 on and adjust...thats what i do to mine
there is a small screw on the right side of hte gun. If you look closely, there is a small hose and a 90 degree fitting above the grip, behind the saftey button. Use a jewelers screw driver (regular) to adjust. In=lower RPM. Out=Higher RPM.
Do not go too far in or out.
Too far in=Hard/impossible trigger pull.
Too far out=too much gas released to activate RT sweet spot
RT. It is much more simple, it has less to go wrong, and is less sensative to water. The only downside to it is that with the Cyclone and the RT, you will consume Co2/HPA faster than a Tippmann normally would.
The RT requires only the installation of 3 pieces.
1. Unscrew the Grip frame and put the little Silver cylnider inside.
2 Thread in to the Right receiver(where the 90 Degree hose fitting would go) the "T" or "Banjo" air fitting.
3. Slide the hose on to the fittings, and clip the frame on.
nice set up. you could definately set that RT for a higher rate of fire. the cyclone will feed 15 balls per second, and my guess is that this RT is set at about 7 or 8 a second.
actually its not considered full auto technically. yes it absolutly will simulate full auto but its assisted ur not actually getting anything from the trigger the piston is jus bouncing back and forth making it simulate full auto. and as far as installation i did mine just fine took like 45 min but i love little projects like that so if ur not very handy then jus go get it put in.
it goes in behind the trigger. It has a pin that pushes the trigger forward with extra CO2 or HPA. On the right side of the gun, there is a hose that connects to the grip frame which feeds the grip gas.
at my field we hade nines guys three with a5s three with x7s and three with 98c(one with a.c.t.)and then the a5 team smoked the other two teams!!!! either the guns or the player are better and is the response trigger worth it?
i think my 98 is the mst failsafe marker ever an a5 would be same but if you run response and cyclone theres no worries its just some people dont have the paitence to learn how to sestain the full auto effect but i like my 98 more than any other gun out there. and yes i would know cause ive shot just about everything and i have an ion too
It is, just you have to have a sensitive trigger finger. I can shoot single shots easy. It is doin it for a long time. Full auto is fun but I recomend only doing it in bursts if you can. I only do it in long durations for suppressing fire. It is an upgrade well worth the 60$ It is easy to use, and most of all it is hassle free, not like that E-grip.
it is an expensive and hard to operate upgrade. the RT is very simple and intuitive. Changing fire modes on teh Egrip requires allen wrenches and you are not allowed to take tools with you on most fields so taht is kinda pointless
If you mean Rate of fire, It all depends on the trigger pressure applied to it. Also make sure you adjust it properly. If you adjust it too much one way, it is near impossible to shoot. the other way, it will not cycle properly. I also have noticed no decline in Feet per second whatsoever unless I am low on HPA.
Hey you know the grip (i forget what it;s called) where if you were right handed, you would hold with you left hand (the one in front of the trigger)... can u remove it on a Tippmann A-5?
You can unscrew it. It takes the standard Allen Wrench you would use to take out the Large screw that holds the Cyclone feed in place. You can interchange it for magazines and other cool stuff
I can make mine fire so much faster
Faster than a etrigger

The RT allows for the Cocking Lever to have to be pulled back once, right? So you don't have to pull the bolt back every time?
Vyris35 1 year ago
@Vyris35 no all paint ball guns u just pull it back once cuz its co2 the only thing u have to pull back every time is a spring airsfot gun

Whats better response trigger or double trigger. Or can you put a double trigger on a rt?

RT is better than a Double Trigger.
You can put a DT on an RT. It actually makes it better.

So, I don't know what is going on with yours. It does take about 3 full turns(on my RT) to notice a difference in Rate of Fire.

Or maybe a Cushman M1 Garand, M1 Thompson, or M1919 30. cal kit.
ubergoober94 4 years ago
heh you gotta get the A-5 with a Thompson kit

Yeah, but I wonder quality of the plastic, wheres the Garand has the real wooden stock.
It would be cool to get either so I could put together a paratroop kit.

I have decided on a A5 witha response trigger, CAR stock, and maybe a flatline.
ubergoober94 4 years ago
Perfect. I have heard that it is easier to chop paint on full auto with a flatline barrel.
So just something to keep in mind.
