Funny to hear the millonaire rock-star who complained about taxes in his song 'Taxman' and lived in a sumptuous Victorian palatial home, surrounded by lavish gardens attacking the Pope with lies. I love George, but come on. He was as full of shit as anybody else and in this song he exhibits a monumental hypocrisy.

The fact is that in many of his song lyrics George came across as a loving and compassionate individual, but in this particular bit of lyric he sounds like a religious fundamentalist. One expect from somebody like him a different message than "my hindu religion is great and your christian religion is bunch of lies". It make him sound like a fanatic.

The problem with many people who try to apply their own understanding to religious texts is that they are not guided by love. This was what was wrong with the Pharisees who claimed to be know all.
