@KeNgUsThOr Basically, it can upload on Youtube and Facebook and picasa. If it with Bluetooth, you can send your photos directly to someones mobile phone. Check upcoming products, maybe you can enjoy the camera with advanced specs such as sharing site. Thanks!
yes, but what i have not seen mentioned anywhere is the fact (?) that you can only upload up to 30 second videos at the lowest resolution directly to YouTube !! (which actually sucks - AM I MISSING SOMETHING?)
having said that, picasa, facebook, and email work fine! and the network setup is really easy.
also, the fact that you can use the OPTICAL zoom while filming 720p video is GREAT !!
I just got mine yesterday and has been playing with it. Will give you some feedback later. For now, I would like to know what is the MAX MicroSD card the camera can use. The manual says only 4GB max guaranteed.
How is battery life while using GPS, and how long is typical GPS acquisition in open conditions? Will I need to leave the camera on for several minutes before I take each geotagged photo?
When we turn GPS on and photograph, we could photograph maximum 60 minutes long. When this camera using GPS, it gives an impact on battery as you guess. However, we will give you a tip for reducing battery waste. There is Battery Saving Mode in Setting. When you set the battery saving mode on, the LCD goes off and the status LED blinks as the battery saving mode. And, it might take a few minutes sending pics. You don't need to let it leave. :) Hope this tip helps you. Thanks.
i used to have a little data-logger to geo-tag my pics, well, this camera is faster.
i also have a garmin nuvi and a garmin colorado .. 'hot' acquisition time is similar, 'cold' acquisition time is comparable.
if you have used an iPhone to geo-tag pics, or check your location on Google-maps, this camera is AT LEAST as fast.
So, overall i think it is an ok GPS. Some people expect GPSrs to instantly work when they turn them on, but that's just not the way it works! The camera's GPS is fine.
i tested acquisition time from a 'cold start', which is basically the -worst- case scenario .. and the average of 3 trials was 1min 4sec. I was under a clear sky and next to two buildings (2/3 of the sky was clear) .. so these were not exactly ideal conditions .. i hope this helps.
as for battery consumption, i have a backup and i always fully charge them, so i can't help with that - but in general GPSrs don't use much juice. My little data-logger goes for several hours on a 2x AAA batteries.
I was reading the user guide and I don't understand why there is a 2MB limit on sending images via BT and WiFi. This is the only thing preventing me from getting this camera.
Hi, MrToxMox!! :]] Thank you for interesting the product. The problem is probably bps. It works with wifi 802.11b/g. If the IEEE is more faster, it'll work easily. Thanks.
With 802.11g you get real world speeds of approx 2.5MB/s. Average 12mp photo is around 5MB so it would only take 2 secs to xfer the full size image. Why build in WiFi/BT if I still have to plug the camera in or remove the card to take the photos off? Has great features to make it the perfect camera but fails to take the final step. Why not make the default limit 2MB and allow an advanced setting to set it to full size? Also add in FTP or WebDAV upload would be nice :)
ohh this guy is irritating

(you can hear the zoom sound but that's expected)
the GPS works fine too, it's fast and accurate.

For official product video, please attach a microphone to the presenter to eliminate the echo in his voice.

Hi, pixmation!! Thank you for the feedback. Does it hard to figure his voice out? We're gonna check the sound on next video. Thanks, pixmation!!

It not difficult to hear him talking, just the echo is distracting and make it unprofessional.

I find it the GPS takes a long time to acquire the location information even I am standing outdoor in open area. Also battery life is pretty short.

You need to watch what you are saying... "720P HD movie setting and h264 format enables users to record 4 times more than with MPEG" ?
Hmmmm... leaving the fact that 720P is "almost" HD, the h264 format IS MPEG... The specs even say : Movie Clip :MP4 (H.264(MPEG4.AVC))
Feel free to say "...than with MPEG2" and all is nice again.
It's a feature-packed camera btw, only wish it was 1080P for the video... and having a bigger lense would help too...
