I don't understand how everyone in my school and our generation likes rap to this. It's really a disappointment I try to explain to them but I guess it's not worth it they just laugh.
this was the first grateful dead song i ever heard i always liked it but it wasnt til two years later that i really began enjoying their music. classic song
You can stream the audio of the Aoxomoxoa outtakes at archive (dot) org
Do a search for "Grateful Dead Live at AoxomoxoA Outtakes on 1969-12-31 (December 31, 1969)" and you'll find it.
If you're computer savvy, you might be able to download the streaming audio.
Archive dot org is the MOTHER LOAD of Grateful Dead boots. I kinda feel bad for telling you that if you're a big Dead fan - you might get lost at Archive and never leave your house ;)
@Ultranothing Havent left house since I found Archive.org about a year ago-And if you have a program(free)called hidownload it will let you download streams too-which are all soundboards-I like Audience cuts since you can feel the vibe and I can relive all my shows I was at-Sbd. quality is top notch though. Thanks Ultranothing for the posts!
A long time ago I had a tape of the Aoxomoxoa outtakes. It was called "apples and oranges". If you have the Dupree's Diamond blues outtake, could you post it?? I was looking for it today for Jerry's b-day but can't find it on Youtube...
15 years old, and saw the Dead on the reunion tour I believe it was 2 years ago? With my father who was/ and still is a dead head and he attended well over 60 shows. Now him and I are going to see Furthur next month. Long live the Dead, and Jerry. R.I.P Brother<3 (1942-1995)
I'm 14, and was introduced to this band by my godfather who i look up to aIot.
I absolutely love this band and all of their stuff<3
I really wish there was more bands out like this right now, instead all of this modern day screamo bullshit. I like screamo, i listen to it, but it gets old after awhile and my love for music goes far beyond that. The Grateful Dead can always up my mood, or make me relaxed. [=
@imadragonnbitch That's awesome, man! I was about 14 when I started getting into the Dead too - and you're right, there aren't a lot of bands like them around these days. At least not in the mainstream.
But there are so many dead recordings out there - I'd safely assume more than any other band. And they put so many variations on their songs throughout the years that you could hear the same song, but never the same way twice.
A good site for bootlegs is archive (dot) org. Check it out!
This sounds exactly like the studio version without Pig Pen's organ. The Dead weren't the same without him. Great video, I appreciate it, cause this whole album is one of my favourites...it never goes unplayed very long.

This kind of music never becomes 'Super-Popular'
But the people who love it, will love it forever
