no it is completly legal. apple released saying if anything happens to your ipod its your problem. BUT they cannot turn down services because it's jailbroken. no getting things u need to pay for such as apps the cost money for free is ill. but jailbreaking is not. hope this helps :)

Yeah hi, when I restart springboard, ipod goes into safe mode because the springboard has crashed. It says on ipod to exit safe mode to restart springboard to try again and exit safe mode, but I ended up doing an itunes restore and re-jailbreaking. Can anyone help?
