  • Southern China is most likely where he lives. I used to study Choy Lee Fut which is what is written on the back side of his jacket. Choy Lee Fut is a Southern Chinese Kung Fu style.

  • I live in Australia and have gone to his classes in Sydney and he does speak English he is one of the best teacher around on that type of Qigong and I will highly recommended that if he come over to your country do it and it will help you if you know tai chi you will be able to relate to the form .But that is the best Qigong as far as I know you will feel the effects of it in no time.

  • this is good stuff...where in china does he live? southern by the sound of his accent?

  • Beautiful!

  • Yes Master Chen has formed a you tube channel to post all his orginal teachings in english. This clip was done in china for the National sports channe as a national martial arts treasurel. Master Chen has started his external arts channel under chanyongfa and the internal channel will kick off in nxt 2 weeks. I am his senior disciple

  • Looks excellent.

Is there any chance to obtain a translation of what the master says?

    Have a nice day

    silk

    ;-))

  • Nice Video

  • Thank you.....

  • Does he still teach?

  • yeah for a $100 a day you can learn Choy Lee Fut not so much forms but sanda and Concepts behind CLF.

  • @clfguardian Where on earth are they charging so much for that? I took lessons back in the seventies in Los Angeles when my sifu was there, and the rates were affordable for the average person.

  • My sentiments exactly (LOL)!

I'm laughing at my inability to understand what he is saying, but his movements are FIRST-CLASS!

  • well, im doing a seminar with him in a few weeks here in Canada, what if I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT HE'S SAYING!? oh man im worried now! lol

  • First he is doing Xiao Lohan, after that speaks little about Tai Giik, then he shows 18 lohan hands (Sup Bak Lohan Sao), after that he shows Mo Gik (Wu Ji)

  • he's doing the king mui 18 lohan chi-kung form. I recognized it from a seminar I took years ago. I should get back into doing it. haha!

  • it would be great if this had english subtitles.

  • Superb!

  • It looks like a great exercise for center of balance and stretching your joints.

  • Yet is one of the most powerful styles in Gung Fu.

  • You guys ain't seen nothing. Master Chen's kung fu is inhuman. :)

  • Inhuman...

  • This actually sparks an interest in Qigong for me. Typically I would not be interested whatsoever. But this he has beautiful form.

  • Great Form and flow

  • This guys internal forms are really, really good. Having studied Choy Lee Fut for a number of years, I have to say this guy really knows his stuff. It is worth checking out his other vids here.

  • Master Chen continues to impress me. I studied under one of his senior students in Augusta, GA. Of all the Chinese systems that are being taught, I have found this to be the purest form of the old styles out there. Pleasure to learn from these guys. If you ever study with them, you'll know you are getting the real thing. Master Chen's form should make his expertise obvious.

  • my sifu is better

  • what style do you do? and how the hell would you know?

  • That's not really a valid statement... outrageous claim that cant be proved or disproved...

  • Awesome, Master Chan is very soft great qi kung set is there anymore?

  • y soes every1 have a different kind of movements? does it matter how you move? or you just have to connect your mind to your body?

  • the key is to open the chi meridians. these are simply movement that accomplish that. you can do anything as long as the meridians open

  • the movement he shows where his arms move straight up & down is 18 lohan the movement leads the breath, the movements are straight & long designed to lengthen muscle / tendon. the 1st one he shows is suilohan & it is softer, the breath leads the movement & is circular it has different types of breathing & relaxes ligaments. 18 lohan the breath doesn't change, even in & out. the others are fighting forms I'm not qualified to bullshit about them.

  • What does this "Luohan Qigong" actually do?

What is it? Are they like some meditation excercise? or for improving health?

  • Luohan means monk & Qi is a little hard to explain, in other words I don't know Apparently in relation to humans,qi is a type of energy which the mind can lead with the breath & improve blood circulation. Qigong can mean deep breath or deep breathing. There are many styles of Qigong as there are many styles of kung fu. It is said, to master kung fu one must practice Qigong & to master Qigong one must meditate.

  • precisly and there is hard and soft chi kung there exists only 3, internal styles of kung fu tai chi, pa qua-zhang and zying yi wich uses mainly internal chi kung shaolin styles uses mainly external hard chi kung wich born from toughness

  • sorry, i was just curious, because the name resembles some ancient shaolin martial arts.
