  • i was in 141 when 142 was recommioned with navy and air force personel

  • Prowler- Know for being the loudest aircraft! :) GO Navy, my dad flies Prowlers. To bad when I join all that will be left is Growlers.

  • As a alq-99 I-level tech, where's the pod on the right side of the jet? Those bastards can still listen to AM radio without that!!! :)

  • yea i used to work with the shadowhawks awhile back. made some bad choices but i still think back of those days. dang that was a magnificent jet. rumor has it they are gonna fase them out and do another upgrade. the ea-6b would be fine lookin if it just got rid of that big ole donkey dic in the front of her. hahaha

  • I love that camo attern it uses

  • thats my girl ea6-b prowler

  • Who came up with the paint job, Chip Foose???

  • Locate, radiate...annihilate!

  • i miss messing with them. incredible plane and loud as all get out too.

  • is vaq 142 the old shadowhawk squadron?

  • VAQ-141 is the Shadowhawks. Are you an old Prowler hand? I spent full terms in VAQ-132, VAQ-129 and VAQ-137.

  • @necro45will

This is my old squadron.. they used to be the "Grim Watchdogs"

  • does anybody know why the prowler needs a crew of 4?

  • theres the pilot in the front left seat. and the eco 1 2 and 3 seats take care of all the computer work

  • whats the difference betwen the Viking and the Prowler? i mean theyr both electronic warfare..

  • Too many differences to list. The Viking was not EW, it was ASW and later, tanker/MPA/COD.

The ES-3A Shadow was a SIGINT variant of the Viking, but it has been retired for quite some time.

  • What mission did they have? Just trying to jam up the taliban? I would imagine there wouldn't be too many targets to fire HARM's at.

  • Their missions are highly classified for obvious reasons.

  • Beauty!!

  • Excellent camo scheme, does the Navy use that color on the boat as well?

  • No, this scheme was only used in Bagram for this deployment and it was removed when 142 returned to the US.
