  • that mullet was absolutely amazing

  • Even if the strap didn't break and this worked, it would be no where as cool as a shot of you smashing into the shed with that humvee.

  • @maestroneoneone I was tempted to but this "shed" was built.... 3ftx8" cement footing and framed using 4x4's and 2x4's as well as being anchored to the footing every foot to foot and a half... Was definitely built to last and wish I would have kept her up since I never did build the shop there heh.

  • This videos demonstrates how not to use a snatch strap....

  • knocked a hole right in er

  • haha thats not what the straps designed for recovery straps are like rubber bands and are made for straight pulls your putting a kink in the strap when you wrap it around something

  • @deejay540000 Its always fun to use an object outside of its designed scope :)

  • i don't even know what im watching, a hummer, a tow strap WRAPPED around a shed, a big ass with a crazy mullet straight from 1980. i thought i was watching Walker Texas Ranger for a minute

  • @NCRedneck25 that mullet still lives strong!

  • thats why u dont buy straps from walmart

  • @StrainingDingelberry Princess Auto :P

  • Always choose the right tool for the job, and if not available video it for you tube! He I'll say I've never done that before just because there is no video of it. And yes the blanket hanging over a strap definately helps, won't stops bit it does slow it down.

  • NICE MULLET!

    0:48 sec

  • @andrewwoodside hah yea everyone gets a kick outta that... hes been rockin it for over 20 years...

  • should also make sure your strap's weight rating can handle what you're trying to pull...i've got a 7000lb strap...its fine for pulling out a car or a small truck...but i wouldnt attempt anything more

they do make straps rated for upto 32,000lbs

  • we have them at work up to 75,000 pounds.and they do make heavier than that

  • @Anon514 try 80,000 lbs or a synthetic bungee roap that can hold up to 400,000 lbs.

  • Use chain. Heavy chain, not the lightweight garbage.

Use common sense, be carfull, & stay clear.

Chain will outlast & out pull straps ten fold.

  • Finnaly someone on here with some sence!!

Im tired of hearing about how great straps are..

  • Straps suck. Problem today is you have all these f-ing retards going out with dog leash chain, trying to pull stuck trucks out of the mud. The chain breaks, & someone usually gets hurt. Thats how chain has developed a bad rep. here lately.

  • @papabugs71 unless you jerk

  • no im sure i was there some little rich boy thought he was badass with his h1 so we hooked it up to a stock chevy other then 33's and the h1 broke his driveshaft

  • Axle... Driveshaft... what was it?

More likely than not was a bad ujoint.

  • hummer sucks my buddy pulled a hummers axel out in a tug of war with a stock chevy ha ha

  • Are you sure you are talking about an H1? Since there is footage of an H1 vs a F350 on here and the F350 snapped its driveshaft.

  • @Injunfarian Hm, H1 or HMMWV. H1 is civilian luxury "crap". HMMVW is military ready for anything grade lol. They look very very very similar, usually HMMVWs that civilians have still have the hole in the top where they mounted the Browning Maude Deuce, or at least have it plugged to keep water out =p

  • @obeyance LOL you are very funny and very uneducated.

The H1 and HMMWV are very identicle... Yes the H1 has various creature comforts(better seats, interior, guages etc) and safety features(marker lights, collapsable steer column, hood hold down device etc) but the vehicle itself is very much the same.

The chassis, suspension and drive train is almost identicle to the HMMWV and many of the HMMWV can be used on an H1.

  • @obeyance If i was to make a list of features the HMMWV has over the H1 for offroading this would be it.... Deep water fording kit(could be retrofitted to an H1 but would need transmission as well to be true). Naturally Aspiring Diesel(no electricals to mess up in water... although early H1's had them as well). All electronics are sealed on a HMMWV(CTIS, Winch, Gauges etc) only some are sealed on a H1(Winch). HMMWV's are lighter due to no creature comforts/safety features. Thats about it.

  • thats dangerous shit you guys do there

    if that rope hit sombody

  • Would your stomach hold up against that strap, if you flexed? Remember the black and white movie clip of the guy taking a canon shot to the stomach? Hehe.

  • heh I dont recall the movie clip it just might be before my time(25yrs old) but I dont think I would be able to handle that in the stomach :(

  • nice, and people think hummer h1's arnt powerfull enough, what was the limit on that line?

  • Not too sure of the str rating of the strap but it was a 3" strap.

Also that strap was brittle due to UV exposure.

  • ah, thats probably why
