Quake 4 is the War Human vs Strogg, Strogg are kinda of sadic barbarish cyborgs, it kills all human on it's way and the game gets scary, you go in a corridor all is okay, and when you comme back all your friends are dead and the corridor is full of blood. And You are getting stroggified, strogg stroggifies people like we make cars. Kinda creepy game.

Cool videos and good music. I personally Played Doom3 and it's continue Resurrection of evil. But I never played Quake 4 because some dudes in forums said that it's a crap. But Now after I've seen this video I'm going to download and play this. It's very similar to Doom3. And though planet view with blue projectiles looks like a scene from the movie the "Starship troopers" (watch?v=Y07I_KER5fE from youtube). I love these games. And I hope Doom 4 will be with much lighter maps and super details.

Both games are great! Quake 4 has slightly better graphics due to a sharper screen resolution, more variety (the vehicle levels are some of the best I've seen!) in gameplay and tougher enemies.

Personally I can not compare the two. I love the single player better then multiplayer in almost any game expect SC and WC3(obviously). Each horror genre is different and all have pros and cons. Personally I can play DOOM 3 for like 15 min a day because it is so dam scary but I somehow managed to just go with it and finished the bloody game in like a week or more.

ahh, I personally favor doom3 above quake4, mainly because I jut didn't like the new quake enemy designs, they did not give me that quake 2 feel at all, as to where in doom3 they managed to make almost every enemy resemble the old doom counterparts.

Similarities: Q4 uses a modified Doom 3 engine. Both are indoor-FPS games.

That's where the similarities end. DOOM has the feel of Aliens, Quake is more like Call of Duty.

IMHO, they're both excellent games--my favorites, in fact. Some people prefer games that require more "thinking," though.

I never said Riddick looks same on Xbox as on PC, I said PC versions of Doom 3 and Chronicles of Riddick look identical at max settings (with everything on high on both games). Both good games. I love that a game like Doom 3 really implemented the atmosphere that Lovecraft always talked about. "Atmosphere, not action." Well, it had both, lol.

Then there's Quake 4, which was just a roller coaster ride to the very end. It never let up, and the plot just kept moving, never really slowing. And, Quake 4 had its own horrors (example, the possibility of stroggification). You can't go wrong with either one, but I prefer Doom 3. That game is chilling...
