You know, I'm not a typical country fan..I'm actually a metal head, but I was raised by my grandparents in the middle of 400 acres in the great state of Texas, best people I've ever met in my life and nothing reminds me more of where of I came from than a Hank Sr. Gives me chills, thanks for sharing this.
My step-dad brought me up on this good ole music....Eddie Arnold, Hank Williams, Marty Atkins, Patsy Cline....I am so thankful he did...I have such an appreciation for music...He gave me a gift, long before I realized it!!!!!
A good old classic. Never hurts to delve back in history to listen to a little music of days past. Brings back fond memories of my late grandpa...I miss him.
Shut the fuck up Zyzz was a faggot motherfucker who took steroids and got what he had coming to him. This song has been around long before he was even thought about.
This is just a FANTASTIK video showing the old 78 rpm record along with....yes, like akitadad said 'the crackle of the old record with Hank singing'
I'm from Montgomery, just like Hank, and hearing this song and watching that record spin just made me feel like a child again. What a great capture of a moment in time long ago.....God Bless You Hank Williams!
Oh the memories..I listened to this as it sounds here, with my Mom and Dad, and brothers and sisters as a young girl. My heart aches just listening to this for today is the anniversary of my Mom"s death. Now she can listen to him sing in Heaven, I hope. I love all those old songs from that time and I always will think they're better than the new songs.

This is real country music, I'm tired of all the pop commin out of Nashville having a country label thrown on it. They need to cut the crap in Nashville and bring real country back. Cause Hank couldn't make it in Nashville today, they would tell him he's too country.
@cowboylee1226 when i was in high school I would say this music sucks, now that I'm older its the only music that speaks to the heart, I love old country
Was my mom's and my favorite song tho we never spoke about it- but just knowing someone else felt what we felt, made everything feel ok...i was five or so but it is still in my Heart
you hear that lonesome whiporwill he sounds too blue to cry - the midnight train is whining low, i'm so lonesome I could cry = i've never seen a night so low - i'm so lonesome i could cry - i've never seen a night so long, when time goes crawling by - the moon just went, behind a cloud, to hide it's face and cry ;'( do you ever see a robin weep, when leaves begin to die? that means he lost the will to live, i'm so lonesome I could cry.
That guy sang with such passion. I know his marriage wasn't always the greatest. He probably used that pain in the songs he sang. RIP Hank. I Hope to see him in Heaven someday.
sometimes that's the was it is mudkipsie, what a great bunch of loving you came out of. Think of all the people you know that loved each other to make you. You are truly blessed.Treasure the memories forever!
@mudkipsie its amazing how fast people can flip a 180 from being healthy to dieing after they lose the one they love. My aunty last 6 months after losing her husband and she was very healthy at the time.
@mudkipsie i think people die soon after their lover because love is so physical they just aren't as strong anymore. in alot of ancient cultures the groom or spouse would kill themselves in ceremony with the others death
@mudkipsie i know the feeling after it was reported that my grandfather died in combat in Vietnam my grandma would play this all the time In the living room why sowing
