  • a only got 11;50 for my run in my pre assesment which is pretty bad i think would i still pass going in for infantry at standard entry i also have time to get that time down but at the moment would i pass?

  • cant wait to join im only worried about my eye sight ^.^

  • @jackydefo yeah same as me am like actual border line for entry :(

  • The pass times in battalion are 10.30 for the AFT(run) and two hours for the CFT(loaded march) any more questions just ask as I'm serving in 1 Rifles 3 commando brigade

  • Got this tommorow :S

  • That 1.5 mile run's going to be tough. Got 2 years to build my self up to it though.

Anyone know the time to complete for a person trying to enlist into the infantry?

  • @o0matthowarth0o 10:30 for infantry, 9.18-9.40 for paras.

  • I have ADSC on the 5th January.. I need to do more preperation!

  • @mismeeh Goodluck hope you pass, im going down there for my ADSC also on that date

  • @skylinewiz No! got deferred on my medical! :'(

  • I passed ADSC with a B, Not great but It will get me a job. Honestly people, Good Prep is KEY!.

  • @MegaFight4life What Run Time Did You Get? :)

  • Got Pre- ADSC o the day after tomorrow and I haven't been running that muchh!!! going in the Para's too :/ really need to get jogging now don't I!!! hahaa

  • I'm telling you we are all making a big mistake thinking this is the way. We have seen the hundreds of serious injuries and catastrohpies yet people are still thinking about getting involved in fighting. we must change our ways and learn from our mistakes. WE cannot allow this mistake to happen again. ENough people have been injured and killed due to this mistake

  • @210482fmj fucking agree mate...politicians send young boys(who have nothing else going for them) off to die..while they send their sons off to posh schools so that they can continue to send the poor boys off to war..I dont agree with it but you just sometimes have to accept it as nature..this has been going on for thousands of years..in fact..you must admit its a lot better now than it was 60 year ago.

  • @210482fmj you know what id like to see?..now I dont have a problem with war...but once..just once id like to see a Royal or politician fight a real battle.!

imagine the Queen leading form the front in the depths of helmand provence "ready to charge lads!", in the tradition of Alexander the great or King Leonidis.

ok yes theres Harry(but hes the disposable one..lol)..and he saw like 4 months action..and was given pussy missions and now an attack helecopter.

  • im ex 4year/serve number25145308 RFN (PTE)uva my strong advice hand on heart don t join its not wat it seems reason most the time your doing pointless ghard duties for days on end crismas followd by new years ghuerd no going home for 6 months at the time no sex at all no girlfreind share room with 14 no peach no respect of no one treatid bad cold showers as sumtimes worm not working picking up cigs all day at barracks weekley wakeup6 sleep11 ironing till10 mostley cleaning hand on heart

  • @tyroneuva1 Hmmm... Sharing a room with 14 other poeple on base afte posting? I don't think so...

  • there is alot of bullying in the army you will get into a fight 1 per week i would never join again

  • @tyroneuva1 Haha! You really are full of shit!

  • stupid homophobes, what do you think a gay person's gonna do to you? Bum you in the night?

  • The army website says 9.40 for the 1.5mile run, yet people here say 9.18 is anyone here certain of the time? thanks

  • @Ryu7031 Its 9 min 40 sec for Para (Senior) recruits but they expect you to be around 9.18 or less to get a higher overall grade. For Infantry (Male+Senior) they look for about 10.30 but the time you have to beat is just over 11min.

For Trades and RLC etc the max run time varies from about 11-14 mins

  • @inq88 Thank you for the info and for replying.

  • Got my ADSC at the weekend, buzzing for it, i have trained and do the run in aproximately 9:30 everytime. the only daunting thing is the icebreaker.

  • they should'nt go to pirbright if they cant do the run. i dont know why their recruiter send them if they cant do it

  • ADSC at glencorse on monday.. hopefully i pass if i do im posting nudes

  • physical and everything seems fine :D just icebreaker literally shitting it :/

  • @TheTHAMAS yeah i was i did it on pre selection and id never do it again

  • I'm quite worried about this :/ I'm quite a small person but i've been training everyday and i can tell i've built up my strength alot. It's just when i see this video the people all look bigger then me

  • im ust worried about the maths test! :(

  • @MsHatechina pick up a revision guide it will help trust me

  • @MrPrinterFace ok i will do just that...cheers!

  • People build up this ADSC i havent done one I did a PRMC which is harder, they are there to test you, but if your interested in the military then fitness shouldnt be a problem, a 3 Mile Run is nothing its 20 minutes of diggin out blind and then youll be sorted the rest is standard upper body stuff is piece of piss, just get fit. End of Dit

  • If anybody has any questions just message me!

  • @idealHopper I done the run in 11min and 38sec is that good enough? I done that in the mock adsc.

  • @IRELANDISMYCOUNTRY what regiment you going into? if it's infantry you want to try getting it down by about a minute

  • @idealHopper Joining the Irish Guards. I will get it down further I just hope it was good enough to pass the mock adsc, i'll be able to do it faster when I get to adsc if I pass.

  • @IRELANDISMYCOUNTRY Good Luck mate, you should do fine just try and stay ahead of the bottom half in the run you should make it

  • @IRELANDISMYCOUNTRY you should try to shave that run time by about a minute. I did the 1.5 mile run in exactly 11 minutes and passed the pre adsc but I was told that I needed to improve it.

  • @CoffeeBeatsTea I know yeah but it is some hard to get this minute off! I have been trying really hard! on the tredmill I can do it in 10.40mins but that dont matter a shit unless im doing it on the road!

  • no excuse for lack of basic fitness .

  • i'm fucking dreading the run. I've done 1.5 miles in 10.30 but that's on a treadmill. On road it's usually 12-13 mins for me. I'm only 5ft4 lol, short legs :P The strength training are ok for me, I can hit 65 press ups in 1 minute, 50-60 sit ups in a minute and my pull ups are alright.

  • @CoffeeBeatsTea i was the same mate. Hill running. Get yourself up a steep hill 2 Times a week full effort. Do that for a month and you should trim at least a minute from your run time. That's what worked for me! And to be honest you will run faster when you are there! You are running with people and you don't want to be the last one to finish, that and the adrenaline always makes you run faster!

  • adsc run times- 1.5mile run.

Paras require 9:18; Infantry 12.45; Standard entry Royal Artillery, Royal Armoured Corps, Royal Engineers, Household Calvalry and RLC Logistic Combat Engineers (Pioneers) require 13:15; All other standard entry and Junior Entry going to ATFC require 14:00; whilst Junior Entry going to AFCH require 14:30

  • @Protojoe912 I doubt it. If anyone behaves a cunt the Soldiers there will see. Trust me they won't get away with it. But the people i was there with was fine. Got along great.

  • Does long hair on guys matter here?

  • @lankybanana123 Not really mate, but be prepared for the Soldiers at selection to rip the shit out of you for it.

  • @lankybanana123 You can't have long hair in any armed service, so I'd just cut it before showing yourself on base.

  • @YOURS0FLY A grade. Lowest is a D. A's aren't hard to get. But you get out what you put in. Put in 110% You will come out with an A. Hope that helped :)

  • stop the vid at 7:41 for a scoresheet!

  • 0.57 - 1.04 is the worst acting lol

  • got selection in two days

  • Comment removed

  • @1gazary A day and a half. Or 2 days if your a Spyro (had asthma). And stressful? No. Nerve-racking? When you get started it flies by. Like i said you just build yourself up for the worst but its easy! But still give it110% if you have any questions send me a message and il do my best to answer :)

  • @1gazary thats great . my brother is also going reme. what makes you wana join the army?

  • @1gazary well i wanna be a special observer in the RA, but its extremely hard to get into that, if that fails think ill just be a gunner in the RA. how about yourself?

  • @1gazary oh right. i did mine in lichfield

  • @1gazary what course do you mean?.. my phase one training is in pirbright, start some time in june,

  • Me and My Friends wanted to Join The British Army but I have done a research I found that, Gay people are allowed to serve the Army ! It really put us off we don't want to join Army any more because of it ? !! Were Is The world going !! damn

  • @lilartist10 Well if that's your outlook you don't belong in the British Army anyway. If your on the front line and you get shot i don't think you will give a fuck if the Medic is black, white, asian, pakistani or a transvestite for that matter! So fuck off and take your closed minded views somewhere else you dont belong here with that attitude.

  • @EnragedGoat I think you talking on the behalf* of the Gay Rights !! Well if that is the case fuck Off*

  • Comment removed

  • @lilartist10 Well i know 3 gay guys in the Army and trust me. You wouldnt feel so comfortable saying it to their face, they would destroy you. So be a good boy and stay sat trolling behind your computer screen. Because until you do from day to day what Soldiers. American, British or other do. Shut the fuck up. You have no right to judge others. So fuck off you homophobic cunt.

  • @EnragedGoat Fuck Off with your gay ass !! British army was much better before Gay people were allowed to serve the army !! Acting Tough behind* the computer huh ' ! ( I don't argue in yourtube mot*a fu*ker !!

  • Comment removed

  • @lilartist10 Gay ass? I get more pussy than a toilet seat. And your black. I guess the Army should't allow you in either. Stupid Cunt. As long as they act like a man, are great at their profession and can fire a weapon i dont give a FUCK what they are. If i knew they was a good Soldier i would happily serve and die by there side. And anyone who disagree's doesnt belong on this channel either! And what do you know? YOUR NOT IN THE ARMY! But well done for sounding like a thick twat. Dumb troll.

  • @EnragedGoat very well said mate

  • @EnragedGoat you said am black. I guess the Army should't allow you in either why you racist bastard. by the way I went I have passed my P Coy training so i don't know what you on about. but I will promise you if you keep that racist views you wont last long, enough said.

  • @EnragedGoat I actually passed the Log Race and Mile March am all most there Parachute Regiment :p

  • @lilartist10 Awesome! I can't imagine how hard that is but I want to join the Paras, struggling to get my run time down lol

  • Mines on the 23rd

  • mine is tomoro :P

  • @MrAaronMiall so is mine dude!

  • @rickybate really? thats cool lol.. where abouts you from?

  • @MrAaronMiall manchester u??

  • @rickybate grimsby :)

  • @MrAaronMiall cool, u prepared ?

  • @rickybate ermm.. kinda. just really scared about the ice breaker :/.. and i think my bmi might be to low.. how about you?

  • @MrAaronMiall ive kept myself sober for 2 months before this weekend goin on a bender 2 sheffield lol the ice breaker im just gonna waffle shit, im quite confident im just abit nervous incase i fuck anythin up

  • @rickybate haha congratz on that :).. and im sure youl be fine.. as long as your confident you should get through it

  • @MrAaronMiall aye, wots ur run time? on my assessment i got 8.19 im lookin 2 smash that on wednesday

  • @rickybate wow thats great youl show me up :/.. my best is 9.21

  • @MrAaronMiall thats a gooden, ive been a runner all my life its the only thing im actually good at

  • Anyone going to Lichfield on the 17th?

  • got mine soon shitting myself :S

  • Anyone who is dreading it, DONT. It's a peice of piss, it's nerves that get you. when you get started its fun! I loved it would do it again if i could! Honestly i only got 10:16 on the run time but Smashed the upper body strength tests, Grenade test, team activities. Had a great time and came away with a high A ! Applying for Combat Medic Tecnician :D unfortunately need to wait until the new dates are released before i know my start date :/ but joining the British Army, best in the world boom!!!

  • @EnragedGoat Ah I'm fucking dreading it, I'm not all that confident, barely fit or have any upper body strength :/ hopefully I can get fit before April 12th, I'm down in Emsworth for my training. I want to be a Para so bad, I'll put every ounce of my ability in to this test >:)!

  • @JordanWells15 Best way to do it pal. I had to lose 3 stone to get in for my selection! Lost it in 3 month. And if i can pull that off you have NO excuse to not get an A at selection! :)

  • @EnragedGoat Thats kind of the opposite of me, I'm 18.5 on my BMI which is underweight :/ but I've just got off of the phone to a Para relative, he's coming down for a week to help me train before I go :P I'm confident I can pass this though, after I wrote that comment I found out the only pass/fail test is the 1.5mile run which set my mind at ease, what recruitment office are you at?

  • @EnragedGoat Im training at the moment getting ready for selection. The run and medical in my biggest worry. :S but im looking forward to it. I want to become a Medical Technician too :D Good Luck.

  • @EnragedGoat its like anything if you train for it your ok :)

  • @EnragedGoat if you dont finish the 1.5mile run in less than 10mins is that a fail?

  • @shazzerboy10 no it depends on which arm of the service your going for

  • @shazzerboy10 Depending on what your going for. Basic Infantry you are allowed up to 11 I think. But others like Para's you need under 9.18. Or around 9.50 if you do well in the upper body tests. Junior entry you're allowed up to 14 minutes. So unless your walking you can't fail it.

  • @EnragedGoat Thanks mate, I'm down there on Thusday. The nerves are starting now but what you said has made me feel better. Good luck in the Army!

  • Comment removed

  • @David170390 No problems pal, happy to help. Im here if you have any questions. Best of luck!

  • @EnragedGoat how did you prepare for the run time? and can you make the paras with the 10:16 run time?

  • @britishfetishman101 PARA's run time like 9:18. regular infantry is 10:30,

  • @britishfetishman101 you dont "pepare"....you are either fit or not fit!...typical noob mistake.

fitness does not come frpm peparation....it comes fro mbeing physically healthy(and most people are not physically healthy because they dont have the calorific intake/nutrition of athletes)..you can only build muscle if you give your body the building blocks it needs..otherwise you can train all you want to no avail...why do you think bodybuilders put so much emphasis on diet?!

  • @britishfetishman101 the body needs two key macro nutrients....dietary fat!..and dietary carbs.(dont bullshit me about protein because look at Gorillas, elephants..etc...100% plant food in their diet and yet they are still massive muscular beasts) but humans cant stomach much fiberous plant food either(liek vegetables, beans. grains) because we dont have four stomachs like cows to digest the fiber

  • @britishfetishman101 so what are humans designed to eat from their natural habitat you may as if protein and veegtables/grains are out the window??

fruits! and natural clean healthy fats from nuts and avocado.! combined with raw fish(for omega 3 oils) and egg yolk (for dietary cholesterol)

eat as much of these foods as you like and you will not gain any fat..you will build muscle and you will be fitter and healthier than ever.

vegetables are BAD!..cooked food is bad!

  • i got my army scelection tomorrow ...:(

  • That guy at 1:03 really needs a smack. If he did that shit down camp pirbright he'd end up with 2 purple eyes!!!! Especially if he did that to my old section commander aswell!

  • just wondering, does how you do in this effect whether you can try out for the paras? or can you try out for them some time after your standard infantry?

  • @snailsruinlives you can apply after two years in the welsh guards cause theyre attatched to one of the para companies

  • wehey i passed with a high B on 2nd FEB, only needed 4 more points for an A grade, i think it took about 4 or 5 months to get through the application process for me, then it took about a month or so to get through the (IDSC) and (ADSC) process. But if you really wont it then you have to do what ever it takes. =) Now iv got to my oath at AFCO, and wait for a place in the DUKE OF LANCASTERS regiment, in order to do basic training...Cant wait =)

  • I go on the first of feb cant wait =)

  • @movingtarget007 jus wonderin when did yoo put in your app coz my army careers advisor says the app process takes about 8 months and im plannin on goin along again to sign up

  • @ZacLuvaChic the average time for an app is 3 to 9 months.

  • What is the run time for paras?

  • @hikhik100 dont know exactly but probably 9.00 mins or something close to that

  • @hikhik100 9 mins 18 seconds i think

  • @hikhik100 under the 9 minuutes 30 mate 2 guys who did the selection for paras had to do it under that

  • That Sgt Mason !! haha,, HIYA!!!!!!

  • 00:55 what a fanny...

  • does anyone know the specific run time that the Fusiliers ask for?

  • @MikeysReviews as an infantry regimental unit is allways best to do it under the 11 minutes scale, end of day you dont want to get a grade under the b grade , hard work but how i like to say fight hard win easy

  • Am a current RMP (Red cap) the best advice I can give to anyone is work for it, If you realy want it, follow the seven P's, Planning and Preparation prevents piss poor performance. Other than that keep at it

  • @lycun4 Failing To Prepare Is Preparing To Fail!!

  • i dont it in 8.45minutes and now if i try again ill try 2 do it in less then 8.45min hopefully...

  • did that one girl seriously quit because she was about to throw up??

  • 2.4km in how long

  • @asiq1987 10 an a half mins

  • @asiq1987 1.5 miles m8

  • got selection this comin monday...goin for Combat Med Tech RAMC anyone else for Glencourse on the 11th??

  • Not about my selection tomorrow

  • This might be stupid question to ask but do people who want to join the parachute regiment go here too?

  • @BobGungho

yes. and then you go PRAC after

we are the only 1's with 2 selection courses because so many people drop out

  • I GOT selction on the 21st thew ANYONE else going on the 21st to ?

  • My best time so far for 1.5 miles is 9.16.03... this was mostly up hill... anyone else got ther best time comment me

  • @szabo060990

im in selection in a day, and my time is 10:39

  • i got selection in a week!! going for the royal irish reg

  • @TheTerrafusion Have fun up Catterick when you pass! lol you will fuckin hate it there!!

  • @TheEnglishBadman i no it wasnt at me but we done it at my sqdn its like 4 times around a averade feild

  • @TheEnglishBadman thats bullshit mate u can pass with 2 heaves, i know a guy who passed with one, and that was for infantry lol

  • i got quastion...

if im livingin in europe, can i join the british army.?

or you must be an england civil..?

  • @TheEnglishBadman no its because intake times can vary and can be up to a year for certain jobs/roles in the army. also so you have a clear choice. i went to the careers office and when i showed them my grades and passed the barb at 79 they laughed at my options of light and mechanised infantry and dog trainer. I was told I could do pretty much any job I wanted in the army. Not what I expected. Big tip is to never underestimate yourself, and following on with that advice, believe in yourself.

  • 'Andy passed to be an Ammo tech' - What a waste of talent

  • @TheEnglishBadman haha agreed. and i neither did like the medical... owww the joys off a lad touching ur balls hahaha good luck =D

  • @TheEnglishBadman circuit ? nah.. just a warm up mate, about 3min fast paced jog, and heaves easy. they give u dust to put on your hands pal helps alot.

  • @TheEnglishBadman dont take paracetamol pal, and dont worry you will pass it. it looks hard, infact its nothing like this dvd. it's easier. if you pass your run, you will fly buy rest. i got 3 right outa 10 questions on grenade test. every1 else high score's i also did no good on icebreaker. terrible infact lol, however look at me now ;) up in cyprus on the beach with the lads ;)

  • @TheEnglishBadman no mate, your running time must be your 1st choice, but most choice's are the same time anyway. 13. something mins i think it was cant remember tbh lol, the 3 choice's is to make sure you can revise and hold infomation also.. incase your 1st job choice is full up, you will be put down to your 2nd then 3rd . hope that helped.

  • 2,3 up 2,3, down ,2,3 up, 2,3 down, 2,3 about 2,3 in, 2,3 left right left. = forward march salute ;)

  • @awaker200 1, 2 , 3 , 1, 2, 3 left right left :P

  • Comment removed

  • @TheEnglishBadman you sleep 1 night mate, 1 an half days really adsc. and icebreaker is easy, you talk about your career and why you join the army etc. infront off about 5-6 people. not everyone, and only one cpl will be watching, not pressureised. my adsc was at glencourse scotland, passed that and passed ITC catterick

  • @awaker200 was there any girls there mate?

  • @TheEnglishBadman 1.5 mile is nothing compare to basic training ;)

  • @TheEnglishBadman

well i meant those attending sandhurst as an Officer Cadet, i didnt make that clear enough lol

  • @TheEnglishBadman: Just around the roads on the base really mate. Started inbetween the rugby posts, around the roads and back to the posts - 1.5 miles.

  • DAVID is a Tit! Grade A Chav!

  • yeahh i remember doing mine was very similar to this one, if anyone got questions ive been i my unit nearly a year now :)

  • @bennyhill90 did you arrive wearing a suit/ shirt and trousers or ready dressed for your medical everoyone seems tobe split on that one

  • @lotusexige861 yeah i did personally and i would recommend it... to be honest you will see the majority wont but you want to impress at every possibly opportunity... so yeah... i think you do yeah but to be honest i wouldn't worry its not a very in depth medical anyway

  • I have my first 1 day assessment at altcar and was wondering is it best to turn up to this wearing a shirt and tie? Could i wear jeans and a shirt and tie or is it best to wear trousers ect ? Thanks

  • @DoLzed Do NOT wear jeans, dress as smart as possible, your being assessed at every stage. Advice, well ! hope you did well in your BARB, it counts towards your overall score, not sure about TST for your trade? , but Icebreaker, team task and grenade test are important components, you need to be looking for at least a 4 or 5 on these for an A, Keep your fitness up,an try n do some high intensity circuit training, its what ul be doin in the PT session, work on your Chinups/Heaves. Good luck!

  • @illegal7578 - thanks for advice, much appreciated. I got 64 in BARB test ( thought i would do better ) I havent been informed about TST but ive worked in administration for years so should be ok. Ive only had 1 week to train for 1.5 mile run and currently doing it in 10 minutes - test is tomorrow!

  • @illegal7578 Tbh I thought the hardest task was the PT, I done no circuit training at all and really struggled but there were people there that really pissed me off like fucking around and giving back chat didn't derserve to be there or be passed.

  • Thanks for the upload as its give me the heads up to what to expect. I'm going is as Driver Lineman but might have to wait till November at least in order to get a job. What trade did you go in ? Also, do you see many people drop out during basic training?

  • Joy..! , Just passed ADSC 19/03/2010. Got grade B , run : 9.03, PT: grade A heaves:13(done more but wrnt counted?) TST:45/55, Grenade( theory 9/10 - practical 5/5 ), team task 4-4-5, was polite n curteous, didint fck around. Happy but think i deserved A, there were proper planks outthere performed shite & didnt deserve the grade they were given! Jchoic: REME armourer

  • Congratz Mate, ive got my Pre Fitness Test on the 14th, Good Luck During your Phase 1 :)!

  • I cant believe you got a B. I was informed if you get like 9.20 on your run, your pretty much guaranteed an A. Have you got any advice for getting an A?

  • @illegal7578 ive got my selection on the 11th of oct and was looking for some tips. what would you say your does and donts were? what to bring and not to? and what do you need to do to get an A. i can run 1.5 around 9 mins and do 130 pushups and 70 sit ups in 2 mins and 20 heaves. also got a 77 on my barb. thank you
