  • congrads on your efforts. Raw sounds like a good idea. I am a binger but a don't purge (fear of throwing up). Infact if I get sick, I will stay up all night with a fan on my face and rubbing my stomach to try not to throw up. Which makes no sense either. But raw for a binge sounds really helpful. I thought I was rewarding myself by binging, but now I feel that its a possibility that I am intentionally punishing myself. So right now I am trying to eat one meal a day, or little as possible.

  • Exercise, makes me happier. Just go to the gym. But make sure you eat when you get back. It really helps

  • i was diagnosed in november with anorexia purging type, have heard about raw foods a couple months ago- i notice the more raw i eat/drink the less the b/p urge is.

  • are you anorexic *and* raw? or has becoming raw helped the anorexia?

  • no i have had anorexia severly for 12 years now.... i have been raw for 12 and it actually has helped me to find peace with food and be able to eat more. :)

  • plus look at raw fooders, that have been on it for a long time (probably more then 4 years 100% raw or atleast 2 in some people.) but it ages them quicker. although they are skinnier they look older and that is a fact. look at any of them just try to argue this one.

  • Eat what you used to eat b4 eating disorders into your life. I was into raw/healthy/organic eating let me tell you I have seen lots of healthy eaters they forsure r skinnier/skinny but they look only (ones that have been on it for a long time) just take a multivitamin and supplements and herbs for health do be orthorexic like I was (i am lucky it only lastd for a year or two in my case) I would turn down all med I think If i needed med and my life needed it that i could di. good dat didnt happen

  • ... don't eat raw. it just gives you another eating disorder called othorexia. plus you will be multiple deficiencies. if your really set on raw get your b12, saturated fat, mono, poly, and omega 3,6,9's and all those omega's/fats. don't go raw its just rawtarded.

    I feel that it is only natural that you would not feel like eating when under stress. And I totally agree with your desire, that if you do eat, to make it as nutritionally potent as possible. Wishing you well.

  • Awesome, I've been a Raw bulimic for 5 years, except for the binges, and i can tell you, i always feel better after a raw binge compared to it's cooked friend. however, finding powerful ways to reduce stress, is by far more important then any eating habit whatsoever, for it removes the Need to binge completely. EFT helped me relax, check the vids on YT.

  • totally agree about finding meaningful ways to reduce stress. that's what i'm trying to do ... and for the most part i think i'm doing fairly well. but it's always a battle. it doesn't go away.
