Howd you get hte text to follow?

I didn't, the particle emitter follows the text. I just set the anchor point of the text to the left side and used an expression to link the position XY of the emitter to the text's anchor point.

Video copilot (google it) and it's tutorial 18, "light streaks". In his tutorial he has an object flying around the screen at random, I modified it and made the streaks come out of the text.
