  • I would love to visit someday....if I have the money. LOL BTW It's the 21st century and people are still being racist, but at the same time some people like to post racist comments just to get attention. Since I am American, a lot of Americans like to attract a lot of attention to themselves, by putting racist comments, even though they are not really racist......but some are. :/ Don't even bother replying back. Americans are very sarcastic people.

  • Would love to go there someday.

  • I'm from Cape Town,,, but i Admitt: Durban become more beauty day by day!

p.s.I'm white South African really tired to read racist bullshits from Europe or U.S

  • @Mr81biltong Amen to that! I am a British South African from Cape town as well, and I live in Durban now. I love our city and our country and all people living in it. The Americans and Europeans don't get it.

  • As a citizen of Cape Town I'm really amazing by beaty of Durban, better day by day.

As a white South African I'm really tired for racist bullshits of other countries racist scum

  • Joe Cools use to be THE PLACE, it rocked.

  • And i'll be the happy chappie amongst you all: <3 Durban Stone City! :D ...besides the politics. Nice pics :)

  • @THEDAMONROCK it's bloody awesome :D

  • i was born there i swear it is awesome my sisters there

  • That's my home!!!!!

    I live there!!!!

  • @2799015 me too dont you think it rocks

  • nice city .,./ i love it

  • Yes, this used to be a wonderful city...after the National party became infiltrated with CIA lackeys and traitors...we know the rest of that story. The city was planned and built by white people of mostly English descent. At one time there were 220,000 whites in the greater Durban area. Now, I imagine130,000! Wow, what a vote of confidence in the marxist ANC!!! Obviously the zionists wanted a puppet government to protect their massive international investments & holdings. Ha,ha.ha.

  • @mstruthserum I guess this issue of racism and prejudice will never end in South Africa, this is a beautiful powerpoint about how beatiful Dbn is and all of a sudden 1 dude (an indian) claims that he left South Africa because of Whites. You then get an aggressive white person retaliating at him with claims that Durban was built by the National Party goverment (which is partly true). To be safe from the Black hooligans the NP should have built what they built in Europe not in an African jungle.

  • @MrSeasunder shut the fuck up redneck my country look better then south africa and their shit durban white crap

  • @JTsky100 Hey Boy! Go wash dishes in the kitchen and shut your craphole.

  • @mstruthserum go get killed like all the boers donkey

  • @JTsky100 Msunu Ga Nyoga

  • @JTsky100 You don't even live here. You compromised the Swiss border and now you're pimping whores in Zurich. Lucky for you, there's white trash available for marketing. Poor Switzerland!

  • @mstruthserum honkey donkey make me puke crackers

  • @JTsky100 let me guess you are a "Black American" not African American because your'll look like a bit like Africans and you are frustrated because you don't know where you are from. Do you think American Caucasians like your'll, definately NO. Don't talk crap about something you don't know your skin may be dark but you are not African and surely white Americans don't think your'll are Americans so where do you belong

  • i love my durban.. the sharks!!!

If anyone remembers me, for any reason, please, pleasr reply. I have lost touch with everyone I knew in Durban and would love to relive some of my memories from this important life epoch.

    mis u ...

  • Man i miss home...

  • man Ek regtig mis tuis. . maar gelukkig vir my ons mag wees gaan terug by die einde van die jaar! ...

  • I lived there my whole life until 15 years ago and man I've seen the whole planet (I mean everywhere!) no where compares! Such a pity it's slowly getting worse and more like a third world country.

  • I miss it - lovely days. I came back from Germany to study at Uni Natal (paid myself), Sunshine, Sea, Green, People, Africa. Got its bad sides now and in past White SA, but I was there and listened to Don Henley looking out at the sea from my rented flat or driving along the beach front in my Fiesta. Met my exwife there too. Wish its 6+million people all the best, hope things get better. Hey guys, stop being racist, thats really ugly and STUPID. Cheers old friends from there whereever you may be!

  • Thats when yo can see it now truly is a crap 3rd world country. Only show all the nice bits. Wonder if they accidentally forgot to show all the violence, crap, rubbish. Rubbish on the beaches and being used as a toilet. Yes it used to be nice, but with 40 million savages that will be no more. No thank you- Australian beaches do just fine thank you.

  • @69ME2 don't you wish you were born in Australia, the are people who live there and it would be good to say something positive about South Africa. Yes Astralia might be perfect to you because there aren't any black people but South Africa is a great country which doesn't need people like you to always to do their best to show the bad side of it when its not necessary, hope you enjoy Australia and don't ever have to watch another video which has to do with South Africa :-))

  • @MrSeasunder whites make me sick fucking redarted rednecks

  • some of you guys spanish and live in Durban?

  • my girlfriend lived here till she moved xx very nice tho

  • Not so nice any more. Very dirty, the centre is dangerous, but the waves are good.

  • Durban is amazing. Truly nice.

  • Truly a fantastic city, sad that the africans have a knack of turning everything into filth, crime and chaos.

  • Its kinda sad just how bad some parts of Durban have become . I used to go there on vacation years ago , that place is really going downhill now.

  • The City I was born in. I love you Durbs, will always be a Durbanite.

  • Nice video and the music is perfect. I miss Durbs but am a bit safer here on Mud Island.

  • City of my birth, a long time ago in 1953.

  • I miss SA! :(

Nice Video..it was good to see Gateway again

  • hahahaha

  • still lovely.. just in transition. I love SA and am proud.

  • I've read all the negative postings here, especially from ex-pat whites, living abroad. I'm sure it looks a whole lot different to people like you - the good old "apartheid" days of "whites only" benches, business districts, transportation, amenities and everything else of priviledge. Here's my message to you - keep your self serving comments and yourself the hell out of Durban.

I had to leave behind this beautiful city 25 years ago to settle in the US because of you.

  • im white and i think durbs rules, you have , the grass is not always greener on the other side.

And for the ex pats, they are simply tring to justify why they left in the first place its called guilt... they benifited in apartheid now they simply leave when they can t benifit any more,, cowards ... what about all the white youth they left behind to deal with their fuck ups?

Food for thought just carry on running thats all you are good for .eat and run and leave me to clean up your mess

  • And dont come back you 'coolie' fucker.

  • @rickpillay - I live in the US, and can tell you with certainty that the gates are still open.

  • @rickpillay well said

  • @rickpillay

Since the nigs took over Durban has turned into a shit hole just like the rest of Africa Everywhere the black man goes, things just get better, don't they?.

  • @TheJomogogo You"re right. Niggers destroy this beautiful country.

  • @Travoobladatel umm sorry south africa is where the blacks there belong before you white people came you only put development for yourself.

  • @rickpillay

    Why not another African country?

Don't bother answering, we both know why.

  • @rickpillay Really? You had to move to the U.S. because of whites??? Did someone hold a gun to your head when you made that decision HYPOCRITE! How come you didn't settle in Madras where your ancestors came from? Actually, I don't have a problem with Indians, however, you are an exception. In your case, I would in fact apply the label of COOLIE.

  • south africa is not a beautiful place anymore.

  • Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - you are blind!

  • The Zulu kingdom. land of the true warrior.

Live by the sword and die by the sword.

Zulu, culture is not like western culture, its built by warriors and ancestors like shaka Zulu, and built on the might and magic.

Zulu man has powerfull body and thick skin, they laugh at the shit we cry about.

Any one for some "muti"? get rich and strong like a lion with black magic..... c' omon give it a try.. .vist the Zulu kingdom become fearless become a warrior......................

  • You sound stupid. utterly thick.

  • ps- The Boers were driven right back by the British and Durban was then ruled by Great Britain in the 1800s. King Edward Hospital and many buildings are named after British royalty like the Royal Hotel, the Edward Hotel, it is so so British my dear, Thank you

  • I learned that Durban was named after Sir Benjamin D'urban -

Then Fynne had his part to play in Durban's history.

It was the most important seaport of the British Empire in the 1800's

Let us not forget Cecil John Rhodes and David Livingstone, simply a few of the many many English people who had their part in the country's history.

My own relatives and others are all from Britain and living in Cape Town and Durban even today as well as Johannesburg

  • Lou's rich, soothing voice lends itself to the words of Enid's poem - delivering the underlying message with an uncanny feeling of being. I closed my eyes and took in the title song with melancholy nostalgia - imagining the various sites, sounds, smells and locations depicted within the lyrics. Enid had indeed captured the very essence of Durban - the Durban of my childhood, youth and early adult years - which live on in my forlorn being - these 12,000km away ... sigh ...

  • iTekweni ... truly the City of No Winters.

"City of No Winters" CD Release Party (9/26/04) Sunday evening (9/26/04) saw yet another well attended social function hosted at Paul & Enid Holden's home in Washington, DC's NorthWest neighbourhood; except this time it was a celebration for Enid's poem City of No Winters - about her beloved hometown of Durban which had now become a treasured song on an CD of the title song performed by Lou Black, a local songwriter/musician

  • I love Durban. Seriously home sick now. What am I doing in England?

  • DURBAN IS THE BEST...HOME SICK
