I am truely inspired by this technique used. Never have i come across such art. Iv only done few acrylic canvas' with calligraphy but this is just amazing. Could anyone be so kind to explain the technique used here ie what paints they are? what kind of paper? to an amateur like me. Keep up the amazing work! x
@moeesa I'm using all soluble water pigments on paper. The paper I use is a thick and perfectly smooth paper. To keep the water on the paper, I always work horizontally for the wash.
Thanks for your comment and be inspired in art ! J-Philippe.
I have been really searching to learn this technique on canvas with acrylics. Please can you advice how to go about it? I will really appreciate it.thank you in advance
@rafatshaikh I've been trying to use canvas too, a few years ago. The problem was the canvas's texture itself. The water didn't work freely with the pigments. I've done the gesso on the canvas the make the surface perfectly smooth and flat. But it's a lot of work because of the number of layer. Finely I came back to my favorite thick paper...
Acrylics itself didn't gave me a rich texture . Actually, I prefer mixing a various type of soluble water color pigments to get the texture I expect.
Oh yes, I know Ewa Karpinska ..... I have seen her working ....live...it was quit a performance. .....if you are European, then you should visit in the month of May, 2011..........the"Salon de l'aquarelle de Belgique " In Namur. The best watercolour painters from all over Europe exhibit there works. All the details are on my website , in French...but google can give you a helping hand if needed. Only pure watercolour pigments are alowed.. .my e-mail picassinne@hotmail.com
@anitajansen1 Thank you for your support. I also had a dream: Working with the real watercolor way. I think, you should see Ewa Karpinska too. She works with watercolor pigments only. She's amazing !
Im back again after an illness and ready to get started painting once again....and I thought of coming here first....I will let the water do the work for me when I get to my first large piece...Thank you for the beautiful ART you created here....DEB
@debbieconnett : I'm using all soluble water pigments. We can try all we have, just let the water work with them...and look at them take their positions and effects. It's so beautiful.

How did you get one frame to shift to another? One goes into background and the next moves forward.?
