With the exception of the irritating footstep sound effects (sound more like someone sawing a plank of wood.), this was fantastic work! Instant fave for me.
Ladnie! Tez mieszkam w Vancouver, nawet niedaleko od Emily Carr, powinienem czesciej tam zagladac.
Nice work! A bit of feedback: the catacombs and the statue of the woman looked like something you might find under Athens or Rome, rather than under Leczyca in Poland. The film is fantasy and it's not supposed to be a historically accurate, but maybe wooden carvings and structures would give it more of a pagan Polish feel
Plot scheme very like CATHEDRAL, walking through dark corridors with torch like flashlight, and falling appart in the end. Just completly different theme. Visually it's really nice, especially turning into dust effect.
Is there a program that lets you make 3d creatures or monsters like they do in the movies? I'm going to make my own silent hill movie, and I will need to computer generate monsters... People in costumes just wont cut it for me... Is there a program I can get for this?
this was at the barrie film festival? do you live around the ontario region? i just would find it odd to be featured at a film festival in a "lesser known city."
i thought it was perfect...like a scene from a great feature length film...it made me imagine what would happen next...thats the sign of a great short film...when you care enough to wonder whats next, well done
I want to mention that The Legend of Boruta was conceived before Pan's Labyrinth became public, and although it is flattering to have my film compared to Pan's, there was never an intention to use it as a base for my work.
Also, Pale Man in Pan's Labyrinth has a very moist, smooth and fleshy textural quality, which is exactly the opposite of what I wanted devil Boruta to be - a very dry, stiff creature.
holly crap dude that was amazing i cant beleive you did all that it must of taken you like 2 months to complete this, great job. and also how difficult would you describe Autodesk 3D Studio Max's dificulty to use? And how much did it cost? And also Pixelogic Zbrush? sorry about all the questions its just one day i hope to make something as good as this.
Your sound effects are ridiculously dreadful. Have you ever heard footsteps of any kind before? They aren't supposed to sound like someone is panting into a bag of glass...
@barteknowakowski u apologise? he is not ur guest or customer, v must find some manners of criticism mixed with appriciation while watching beutiful animation for free.
Absolutely fantastic: the details, the dust, the face... like somebody said, you need more action. For a 10 minute film, some seconds are boring. But congratulations !
the first part kinda reminds my of The Cathedral...the part when the soldier took the stuff kinda reminded me of El Labyrintho del Fauno.......creepy and cool!
Great job! I could of seen more.

I'd consider that a close enough translation. Straight, exact translations from other languages don't usually make for interesting dialog.

you did a great job on this film. beaautiful pictures, good sounds etc.
Though there are things that should be done better next time. The story goes too crawl. Much more could have beeen included in 10 min.
And the part when he tooks the treasure copies Pan's Labirinth... Otherwise the monster is the same as Pale Man from the mentioned movie.
