  • Great job! I could of seen more.

  • Wow!

  • Why didnt that guy get to take an MP-40 down that death trap :D AWESOME JOB - i have to learn 3dsmax for my film cause and i haaaate it !!!!!!!

  • With the exception of the irritating footstep sound effects (sound more like someone sawing a plank of wood.), this was fantastic work! Instant fave for me.

  • inverted cross at 8:30 just a thought

  • Ladnie! Tez mieszkam w Vancouver, nawet niedaleko od Emily Carr, powinienem czesciej tam zagladac.

Nice work! A bit of feedback: the catacombs and the statue of the woman looked like something you might find under Athens or Rome, rather than under Leczyca in Poland. The film is fantasy and it's not supposed to be a historically accurate, but maybe wooden carvings and structures would give it more of a pagan Polish feel

  • the creature and situation is a bit like Pan's Labyrinth

  • This is a film? At first I thought that is an adventure game!

  • i for one, loved this piece, i really like how he is forced to do this and how powerfull his officer is, please make more world war two shorts!!

  • schönes vid... nur für die deutschen syncronstimmen hätte man andere wählen sollen^^

  • he said: Wir haben ein bisschen Zeit, which means: We have a little time. .......it means not that they have time to kill

  • I'd consider that a close enough translation. Straight, exact translations from other languages don't usually make for interesting dialog.

  • OMG nice!!!

  • Just awesome!

  • Amazing!!! I really want to do that in ECUAD.

    Who put the sound?

  • Pozdrawiam rodaka również jestem z Łęczycy :-)

  • That. Would. Make. A. Great. MOVIE. GO INTO THE FILMING BUSINESS! YOU WOULD BE GREAT!!!

  • Very nice. Very eerie. Definite addition to the favorites. Loved it!

  • Plot scheme very like CATHEDRAL, walking through dark corridors with torch like flashlight, and falling appart in the end. Just completly different theme. Visually it's really nice, especially turning into dust effect.

  • I did notice the other pile of dust between the pews at one point. That german wasn't the first, was he?

  • super wykonana animacja ale mogłeś dać polskie napisy xD 5/5

  • JUST- WOW!!!!!!!1

  • wow

  • Fuck niezłe

  • Yes put up the HD version of this!

  • brak mi słow poprostu i to POLAK to zrobił :AD:D:D

  • wow.......no words for me on this fild its beyond outstadning!

  • Really nice, thanks for sharing this! *****

  • please check your inbox

  • Really great atmosphere, cinematography, pacing and texture!

  • does anyone know what program was used to produce this movie?

  • -Autodesk 3D Studio Max (core modeling, lighting and animation)

-Pixelogic Zbrush (displacement and normal map generation)

-Adobe Photoshop (textures and post work)

    -Adobe After Effects (post work)

    -Adobe Premiere (video editing)

    -Adobe Audition (sound editing)

    -Propellerhead Reason (music production)

  • I'm a Boruta and I like this film!!!

  • Excellent film and it scared the Boruta out of me. Nighmares for sure, tonight!

  • Dude, I would love to see this in high definition. Excellent work. Keep it up.

  • A really intriging film. I love the historical mystery and the overall Premise. Really, great job.

  • Is there a program that lets you make 3d creatures or monsters like they do in the movies? I'm going to make my own silent hill movie, and I will need to computer generate monsters... People in costumes just wont cut it for me... Is there a program I can get for this?

  • I'm sure there is. Although you could use several other programs like they did in this film.

  • Woaa!!!

    That was suspenseful!!!

    Dude, great film!!!

    5/5

  • this was at the barrie film festival? do you live around the ontario region? i just would find it odd to be featured at a film festival in a "lesser known city."

    excellent film by the way!

  • i thought it was perfect...like a scene from a great feature length film...it made me imagine what would happen next...thats the sign of a great short film...when you care enough to wonder whats next, well done

  • you did a great job on this film. beaautiful pictures, good sounds etc.

Though there are things that should be done better next time. The story goes too crawl. Much more could have beeen included in 10 min.

And the part when he tooks the treasure copies Pan's Labirinth... Otherwise the monster is the same as Pale Man from the mentioned movie.

  • I want to mention that The Legend of Boruta was conceived before Pan's Labyrinth became public, and although it is flattering to have my film compared to Pan's, there was never an intention to use it as a base for my work.

Also, Pale Man in Pan's Labyrinth has a very moist, smooth and fleshy textural quality, which is exactly the opposite of what I wanted devil Boruta to be - a very dry, stiff creature.

Thanks for all the comments! =)

    -Bartek

  • that's just AWESOME! i can't believe one person did this... you did an amazing job, cheers!

  • holly crap dude that was amazing i cant beleive you did all that it must of taken you like 2 months to complete this, great job. and also how difficult would you describe Autodesk 3D Studio Max's dificulty to use? And how much did it cost? And also Pixelogic Zbrush? sorry about all the questions its just one day i hope to make something as good as this.

  • Very nice!

  • Your sound effects are ridiculously dreadful. Have you ever heard footsteps of any kind before? They aren't supposed to sound like someone is panting into a bag of glass...

  • I appologize I offended you with my foley work.

Jokes aside, I will be spending more time on audio in my next film.

  • @mnbutch

mnbutch is an asshole. It's a well done film; the sound is fine

  • @locustsymphony Sorry friend. I thought the film was fine, but I have qualms about the sound effects.

  • Its awesome! The feeling is very impressive!!

Fantastic job on the sounds fx and on the sound track!!! Overall an amazing animation!!! Tks for sharing, Gabriel Lehto

  • Absolutely fantastic: the details, the dust, the face... like somebody said, you need more action. For a 10 minute film, some seconds are boring. But congratulations !

  • 5/5 great effects and a good history!

  • To be honest...The film got great animation but unfortunely also got a poor story :(..but let me tell u something...U got future in this business! :D

  • too much efforts for too less to say

  • that was scary! but it's good! i love the animation!

  • very good 5 stars***** by Vincenzo.

  • Thanks Spadart for sharing! Excellent. It goes to my Playlist.

  • cool want more post more 5/5

  • wow... i liked...

    great..

  • Nice job!

  • the first part kinda reminds my of The Cathedral...the part when the soldier took the stuff kinda reminded me of El Labyrintho del Fauno.......creepy and cool!

  • wow, great job.

  • very good

  • Czesc Bartek, jak sie masz?. Mam na Imie Ignacio, jestem z Argentyny. Congratulations for this excellent work. It´s a great movie. Awesome animation.

  • Fantastich.

  • Your Video was creepy and beautiful, you work on the same lane as Mr. del Toro.

  • that was really good. I loved the music, very much reminded me of Silent Hill

  • That was really entertaining to watch... How long did this take to creat.. wow..great job!

  • No higher quality?

  • Guardian is tight

  • boring!

  • I saw this at the Canadian film festival, great stuff

  • This animation is so awesome 5/5 star

  • WAOW...

  • 5/5...damn, nice work...

  • "time to kill" is ambiguous in this context ;)

  • ähhm ja, sehr sinnig ist das ganze ja nun nicht. ich mein, die grundidee ist nicht schlecht... nur die pointe, die fehlt. ach, und die stimmen sind grottig. die animationen sind allerdings gut... joa, so is des.

  • nice animation.. dont like the voices though, they doesnt sound natural

  • Indeed, the speakers are absolutely unprofessional.

  • Great animation Bartek, well done.

  • Great work, good storytelling Bartek.

  • Great film.

  • hey congrats on getting front page on 3dtotal!!
