  • What viscosity oil is being used in this engine and what is the sump capacity? With a low speed, very heavy vehicle, (tank), I would think the oil viscosity would have to be very thick to resist shearing under such heavy loads. If I recall correctly, this is a gas engine, correct? What kind of oil filter does the engine use? Is it a standard spin-on oil filter, or some kind of heavy duty oil filter?

  • Yep great test. Wher can we see th entire project. If I could emigrate to thew states I would love to lend a hand. The Maybach HL 230 - P45 is a great engine with its German twists, much like most moder European engines. Push rods, Bosch distributors (or Delco Remy) nd Stromberg BXV Carbs (OK Quuadrajets) that is technology. Best wishes for this Panther project. I would love to see it!

  • How big is this engine?

  • roughly 44" long, 35" wide and 38" tall. and 1400 Kgs. The magneto drive housing makes it fairly tall.
