Further, stomach acid (like most acids) can indeed cause burns to unprotected tissue. As such, there was simply no reason to suspect foul play.

Thus, absent a reason to suspect anything else, no further examination was warranted.

Get real. Many thousands die in Canada each year. Unless there is a reason to suspect foul play, very few of those are subjected to extensive post-mortem examination (beyond verifying cause of death). Tammy died within the presence of immediate family, from something which is not that uncommon (choking on vomit after drinking). Further, stomach acid (like most acids) can indeed cause burns to unprotected tissue. As such, there was simply no reason to suspect foul play.

Also, every autopsy, if performed by a professional, not an idiot, should include a thorough examination of all the parts of the body. Had this been done, they would've found VERY foul play indeed. Huge burn on the face; freshly broken hymen, dialation of the anus, along with the presence of sperm. Millions die in the USA every year, and what I described is S.O.P. for a P.M. exam.

You've obviously been watching too many episodes of Quincy. The purpose of a post-mortem exam is to discover cause of death, not go on a fishing expedition for all possibilities. Given the volume of deaths each year, the expense and manpower requirements for the latter would be enormous. Most towns couldn't afford it. In this case, cause of death was obvious (vomit in lungs). Thus, absent a reason to suspect anything else, no further examination was warranted.

Had that been done, more questions would've been raised. I'm not saying extensive toxicology reports should be, or are done, on every corpse that gets wheeled in. But even hobos who die of hypothermia get a full physical examination. And I'm pretty sure that Toronto could afford it. It's a mega-city.

There's no way anyone but an idiot could've assumed that was stomach acid that caused that ugly, horrific burn on her face in that amount of time. Your comment about Quincy says a lot about yourself. Watching the home video of the night that Tammy had died, gives me such an eerie feeling...How sickening is it that Carla could allow her Fiance to drug and rape her own kid sister?! How does this even come up in a conversation? "Hey, I think your under-age sister is hot! Could you steal some sedatives from your job at the animal hospital, so I could drug and rape her?" Now she is free, she is remarried, and has a child of her own! She has a second chance at a good life, while all the people killed by her and Paul will NEVER get that luxury.

My parents moved to Burlington in the 80s and my dad drives a taxi in Toronto. One night he said he came home at about 1:30 am and saw a man standing looking into our windows because my mom had alsways left a light on for my dad. My dad thought he was drunk taking a piss on our lawn so he sped down the street to scare him and when the man saw my dad coming he imediately jumped in his car and sped away. He passed my dad on the road and my dad said he looked exactly like Paul bernardo.
