This is bs. I"m pretty sure I heard a bass guitar in the song yet he never got any camera time. This happens all the time with these kind of live videos. The baseline is the 2nd most important part of a song.(melody, bassline, harmony, etc...) Bass guitar always gets the shaft.
I bet people who talks bad bout Dulli and his weight are Americans...Yea come on shoot me, dont care shit.. And WHY THE HELL ARE U TALKING BOUT HIS WEIGHT, HES AN MUSICIAN, RIGHT!!!??? MAYBE if u stop doing drugs , u woyld know....blaaa blaaa . He makes great music.. Thats all
@MeenGMeenie "That's not nice"....really, it's as if Peter Griffin suddenly became an amazing songwriter n singer...instead of a fat arsehole ....talking dog is optional. Anyways, I saw him not too long ago, (Dulli, not Griffin) and he did not look too bad...sounded amazing, as always.
I'll be the 1st to admit, I'm a "nobody" in the eyes of the record industry, I have no column, I'm no paid "critic", & most importantly- I don't f'in' blog... but I will fucking guarantee this song & "Bonnie Brae" will resonate with the "real" general public for years to come.... & beyond.
Yo Dulli, do what you do best... for the fans like me; just keep fucking rocking my friend.
the twilight singers play blackberry belle is my top 5 favorite albums, everything about the positioning of songs, the transitions and quality is perfect. It doesn't sound like a whole bunch of tracks played individually then mixed together, it sounds so real and alive. Like the feeling you get when you jam or write a song or create anything. Pick up this album and listen to it front to back 3 times at least. I swear you'll be hooked
He's a friggin' legend

@TheWonderer7 Plus, the bassline in this song is incredibly vital.

How do you get a sustain sound on a guitar like right at the begiining of the song?
IAMBOG 2 years ago
You use a device called an EBow.
alphamatrix1 2 years ago 3
hey bro look at his picking hand... looks like an Ebow. it makes the string have a continuous vibration. look it up

I'll second the comment about this song live. It is of a mind-blowing, barn burning, throw caution to the wind, and live for the moment intensity.

Great Song. One of my best concerts I attended in Covington, Kentucky across the river from Cincinnati at the Mansion.

One of my favorite live songs. Dulli and the band always raise the roof with this song. I - N - T - E - N - S - E.

100% agreed right here! And I ain't one of those EMO,***, **'**'s (although there ain't nothing wrong with that; nothing what-so-ever).
Call me ignorant, call me any derogatory term you may wish... but ol' Dulli performed some of his BEST work under The Twilight Singers moniker.
Ain't any pretending here...

blackberry belle is painfully honest, just like Greg Dulli.

You are absolutely right. Blackberry Belle is untouchable. Dulli is our greatest song writer. Front to back over and over and over!
