  • i struggle with the idea that anyone simply could not understand the concept of how much heat for how long equals a softer pasta.

its not trying to get quantities or balance flavour or whatever.

its just figuring out how long to leave it in bubbling water before you take it out.

leave it longer, its cooked softer.

look at what the packet says.

then cook it for two minutes less.

    REALLY !

  • Thanks!

  • I hate ardent pasta tender please

  • at step 5,she hit the camera

  • eww, salt

  • noodles

    n' me?

    we're best friends! :)

  • Thing is when you leave the pasta in the strainer,it still cooks so leave your pasta a little bit to furm, and for example you are making pasta souce in a pot-pan place pasta inside to finish coking. Now you have a perfect pasta al dente with the flavor of your souce :)

  • okay, he totally dropped the pasta and tasted air at 1:00 ._. you're not fooling me

  • @igozuvi u are an idiot its at an angle where you can barely see the noodle, im the fool for believing you

  • @dpalm789 ur blind

  • taste the noodles and burn your tongue the fuck offf!!!! that's just a wrong way to taste noodles...lol!!

  • i heard that the way to tell if pasta was al dente was u would take a noodle and throw it on the wall. If it stuck, it was done. Old wives tale...

  • Yummy

  • Anyone who can't cook pasta is a retard.

  • @LibBasher :(

  • NOODLE

  • pasta and ragoo scauce, thats a gourmet lunch for a student like me

  • Bon Appetit Mother Fuker

  • Yum!

  • noodles are king!!! i love it all japanese italian chinese whatever

  • Now we just need to know how to make that sauce :)?

  • aka make pasta no need for the al dente i mean i make that all the time not literally but i mean come on pasta al dente = plain old pasta with sauce

  • @fretryu al dente does NOT mean plain pasta... it means pasta that has been perfectly cooked to a firm but not overcooked state. Most people cook pasta BEYOND the al dente state, and would be fired from any chef's job in the country for overcooking pasta.

  • how do you measure that shit in English? what the hell is a quart?

  • 32 ounces

  • @stoltobot LOL! get a measuring cup dude lmao

  • Can you use spaghetti sauce for that type of pasta?

  • Putting the salt at start makes the boiling taking more time. Everyone should put salt with pasta and save time

  • yes, I'm Italian as you can see from my english =)

  • Comment removed

  • i'm italian ,just scald very hot pasta for 10 minutes and serve with the sauce you want

and another good pasta is egg pasta,is very good but you need it fresh

  • italians throw pasta against the wall, if it sticks to d wall then its cook if it doesnt sticl then the pasta isnt finished cooking

  • @seygra20

    ????????????????????????????

  • i'm still subscribed to howcast just to see how many more useless videos they can come up with.

  • & how do we make the sauce?

  • Whatever happened to throwing it against the wall.....?

  • and i shall favorited!

  • I love noodles! Asian or Italian noodles. It's all great.

  • colander? its a strainer

  • ahaha its a colander, a strainer is a different kind but both of them have the same use

  • You don't need to taste the pasta, just follow the instructions on the box, it will tell you how long to boil it. By the way, NO olive oil on the water and NO rinsing pasta with cold water, pasta needs to be sticky and starchy to hold the sauce!!!

  • the "you will need" list sometimes makes things look harder than they really are =/

  • I knew this when I was little

but oh well, good information tho

    4/5
