My total respect and admiration goes out to all of you who climb ! I was a linebacker in college and captain of my team but got cut from the pros and have to say I would go out there without any pads any day before I could get enough nerve to climb as you do . It's a thing of beauty that you do ! Take care KSO
New to climbing, i struggle with 5.10's.... but someday I hope to make the El Cap cend. Everest is a little far fetched of a dream, but El Cap is definitely more a possibility some day!
In answer to questions below...pee in empty water bottles, evacuate bowels in bag....haul it all out (empty pee where convenient off route). Camp 6 (high on the Nose section near where I fell) is a testatment the need for all parties to haul out there excrement.....that little platform and the crack behind it had a stink like no other. There truly is nothing worse than being dehydrated (which you will be on a wall) and entering a section of hot rock where many parties have piss.
Nice blend of photos and live footage. I had seen it posted before and gave up early when I saw the stills at the start, figuring I might as well just read a book, but now I see the live action too, and realize it makes a very nice combination. Thanks for taking the time to film and post it.
Nicely done photos, video and the music fit well also. I have never climbed in Yosemite, but have visited there often. Heaven! Hope to return someday with climbing gear.
Great video! I can't stop watching it. Triple Direct was the first big wall that I climbed back in 1992. What is the name of the song in the beginning? Who performed it? Too fun. Thank you for bringing me back to the good old days...
im assuming you aided this route. But was there a chance you freed the whole thing . Let me know either way KOOL but wondering if peeps still aided these days.
