  • lmao fuck french montana and listen to Lords' or Talib Kweli's version instead - please

  • Yeah...French Montana sucks. Whoever did the production for Shot Caller fucked up using the sample. How do you drain the energy from that horn sample? Marley and K-Def married this horn sample with James Brown's "My Thang" so perfectly for LOTUG. That...is what makes Funky Child a classic and Shot Caller a piece of shit.

  • LOTUG!

  • Sample has been used before... but Harry Fraud did a good job with it. MONTANAAAA

  • I thought I had found ALL OF THE MUSIC THOM BELL wrote, arranged, produced, conducted, sang on, played one of the 18 different instruments that he played on. How did I miss this one? Yet another gem of his genius!! I love this guy!!

  • I could've sworn this was in Rush Hour 2. When Jackie Chan got up on the U.S.S Minnow Johnson. LOL

  • TALIB! 3:42

  • thanks for this song . is there a CD available ? i like it very very very much

  • This is REAL MUSIC. These artists of this orchestra are a microcosm of the time period. Real musicians playing real music. No Puff-Daddy producers with no musical talent paying other people to lay down sampled tracks for them. Born in 1972 and there would be no Rap or Hip Hop without being able to sample the true original music of the 60's, 70's, and 80's.

  • I know Thom is from Jamaica, but Thom Bell is also a great American treasure.

  • @JimCutler Immigrated from Jamaica as a small child... I hear his father was a Agricultural Engineering Professor or something like that. You can see how that genius didn't skip his son.
