can anyone please tell me if the arpeggio/sequencer midi synching problem has been solved at the ms 2000 b? A friend of mine gave me an ms 2000 r to test it before buing it, but when i synch it with external midi the arpeggio and sequencer start to delay in a few meters! Can anyone please help me. thanks
I was going to buy one of these about 10 years ago when they came out. Recently I was looking online again to buy one and you can't buy these new anymore so I've just ordered the Korg R3 instead.
Dude. That sounds amazing. I want to buy one of these, but I'm just a beginner, so I have some questions. How much does it cost? Is it easy to learn? Can you make it sound like guitar, drums, an orchestra, or anything like that? Thanks in advance.
Korg Ms-2000 is a VA-synth, if you need guitar, drums and more "normal" sounds, i think some rompler is good for those, like Roland juno-g. MS-2000 is more analog style synth. I have sell my MS 2 years ago, price is something between 450usd-700usd.
@vintagesynthlover "normal" sounds??? The MS2000(B) is very capable of producing normal sounds, even piano style sounds. The sky is the limit. This synths want's to be tweaked. Saying the MS2000 is more an analog style synth is true but i thought that was the general Idea behind analog modelling synths.......
actually it does on the back, on audio in, it has a switch for mic, flip it to that then go to the the vocoder programs on bank H. i know this because i have one now, its amazing and the vocoder is great
The different between Ms2000 and Ms 2000B is the color(black), new Factorysounds, (you can use this on Ms 2000 aswell), and the main-different is, they put the mic-input as an XLR on the frontpanel.
So finally it´s all the same.
PS. I´m using the MS 2000R, and i´m totally happy.
Awesome sounds. Had the device but was forced to sell it because of money issues. Pain in my heart. Soon in the position to buy it and I WILL definatly. Great synth, better than de JP8000 from Roland(not by far). The soundszzzzzzzz, the shit KORG.

@vintagesynthlover What do you call those effects at around 1:23? Is that a sample and hold + filter cutoff?

whammybarfreak 2 years ago
@whammybarfreak This version doesn't have a microfone input. The MS-2000 B only has that.
