@ThroughRock Were do you think metal came from? It wasn't just a divine inspiration, it has roots as every musical wave or genre. Also, sometimes it is not easy to tell one genre from another. For instance, you mentioned Zeppelin as simple, lighthearted, pussy-wussy rock. First of all, their origins were the blues. They then mixed it with funk, psychedelia and what was the ORIGIN OF METAL. For many, they are classified as (proto-)metal, as are Ozzy-era Sabbath, Gillan-era Purple etc.
