I've been into Cale 21 years and this is great! Funny thing, I'm having a lot of trouble getting any info about where the Troubadour LP was actually recorded. The CD booklet has no info. The LP I have has no details! Anybody know?

In his Studio in Tulsa,Oklahoma, he wrote Call Me The Breeze the LS did. Troubadour I wore it out in my 8 track

player.

@1969atam , per the Tulsa and Back album insert: "Cale and Ashworth continued working together over the years, setting up their own studio, Crazy Mama's, when Cale moved to Nashville in 1975. "We were going to do the record like we did in the old days," Cale says. "Two old friends sitting around talking music and playing songs." Sadly, Ashworth passed away before they could start work and Cale dedicated 2001's 'J.J. Cale Live' album to his old friend's memory."

the true measure of a guitarist is not based on technical proficiency or technique . ( not that JJ didn't have plenty of skill ) . Take a guy like Clapton , who had chops like no other , and he spent the 70's wishing he could play like JJ , a songwriting guitar player . Composition is where it's at , and JJ is the finest
