How accurate is it with your sight you have on it? It seems like you had to problem hitting your targets but they were kinda big. (Not hating, just wondering :) are the rails on top of the airsoft sturdy enough to mount anything on and have it keep zero?
@braseldazzle Yes, basically you remove the stock from the Ruger and put it inside this stock. I'm not sure if they sell the 10/22 without a stock though.
I was wondering how the stock felt, does it feel really cheap and fake or does it feel decent? Also in your other videos where it shows a fake "can" suppressor on it, how did you fit that on there?
@charbrit08 It just feels like plastic. The well airsoft P90 is not a high quality airsoft gun by any means. BUT it is to scale, and the idea of this project is to give the user the feel and ergonomics of what a P90 has. I built the suppressor on a lathe and it was somewhat complex. I used several steel collars to clamp it over the barrel. It was never intended to be used on the gun though we did some testing with it on.
@charbrit08 I don't have any experience with the 10/22 magnum. If you can size up your rifle to a standard 10/22, and they share the same dimensions, then yes it would work.
you really have to get a ffl lisence so you can convert it to full auto and cut down the barrel and thread it for a flash supressor. then you can use a real silencer!
This mod is not illegal. The barel of the rifle is not shortened in any way. Take a ook at FN's own PS80. same basic idea. This seams like a lot of work for the look. A PS80 can be purchased reasonable. Course Ammo is horrably expensive. In a world of people looking for cheap trigger time this is awsome. Cheaper than buying a dedicated upper for a AR and cooler than the same ol' Butler creek folder for the 10/22. Kudos!! How much to smith a Well body for me? ;)
@Reapertango It really isn't illegal. The length is 26.5" and the barrel is unmodified. It's is a cheap plinker and just offers a different look and feel for people who want to do something a little exotic with their 10/22. I really don't have much spare time to modify these for people, I've been asked so many times I've lost count. Wish I could make the time.
your fucking stupid man, i bet that the feds will be comming to visit you soon for building a short barreled rifle with out your tax stamp. you are extra retarded for posting it on youtube.
Very cool mod! I like! .22 is cheap, and fun to shoot! I have an AR-15! I have an AK-47! But, in the end, that crap is too much to shoot! So maybe its time to get a 10/22!
the reason why ppl buy the original p90 is for its hi fire rate and armor piercing rounds, this replica of the p90 noy only is semi-auto as also fires the .22 round... conclusion a very nice piece of crap!
Yes I know you're shooting into a safe and solid backstop, but still....there's a house right behind it. I'm not trying to get you in trouble for this but I'm just saying...please be more careful which way you shoot. I know you're not going to intentionally shoot at the house, but accidents happen. Cool conversion though. Looks pretty nice.
@91rxl650 The location is not as bad as it appears. The house is a actually a farm shed. Still, I understand your point. We've moved the backstop 90 degrees and made it about 4 feet taller. Hopefully this weekend we'll finally get back out there to film new footage.
@taofledermaus Glad to know that you're trying to be safe. I just don't want anybody to get hurt. I love to go shoot and it looks like you do too. Sorry to be preachy. Have fun shooting that awesome rifle!!
@91rxl650 I notice a lot of lack of gun safety in videos. Heck, I was watching Lock N Load on History channel the other night and R Lee Ermy and a few others weren't using eye protection. lol The only time I ever scratch my head is when people mock people shooting .22's who wear hearing protection.

Good comment. To make a Ruger 10/22 load from the top and eject from the bottom... it wouldn't be a 10/22 anymore. Yep the whole idea here is simplicity, and low costs. Most of all it's about having fun.
FN P90 ya i'll admit i herd about this weapon only though a TV series i liked called Stargate they used that rifle a lot though i wondering if there was a comparison between this rifle and the new Tavor from Isreal.

Nice mod and ear plugs, but where's ur safety glass's? I had a Remington 22 bullet jam and explode in my 10/22. blew the casing right open and sprayed burning gun powder back at me!
I really prefer getting comments like yours promoting good shooting safety than the comments ridiculing us for wearing earplugs when shooting a .22! You are absolutely correct and there is no excuse for not wearing eye protection. ( I had my glasses on but a few of the other guys didn't) I did not even realize this until you brought it up. @sfauver36 DUDE ive had the same thing happen to me!!! was it a subsonic? ITs the scariest thing that has ever happened with firearms for me, and it was a GD .22!
Be sure there are MANY out here following your lead on this conversion. I'm working on a version now with a few twists and I will post a video of it when I am done. Basically it will use an aluminum channel heat sink from receiver forward. The portion of the airsoft stock meant to be metal is removed and the channel replaces it. The barrel will be mounted to this channel and a new sight support fabricated.
Definitely post a video of it when you complete it. There have been a few others who posted their videos and they often have their own upgrades and changes from my design. (always a better way of doing everything!)
Clearly you haven't handled one and are a typical no-nothing troll shit-sucker who wants to feel "cool" by pretending you are knowledgeable when in fact you're just a little bitch. Taofledermaus has lead the way in showing the rest of us what can be done with the P90 airsoft stock...he is a "doer", and YOU are nothing more than the product of your momma's pimp's "leavins"..the part that DIDN'T run out her cooch and down the crack of her ass--unfortunately.
At this point, I'm just trying to decide which is funnier, Kilibreaux: 1) All of your spelling fails (i.e. "no-nothing") 2) The fact that you double posted just to attack my user name, or 3) the fact you think this is an airsoft gun. The only conclusion I can make is that you're around the age of a 5th grader. Go back to playing with airsoft and leave us big boys to play with real guns.
Great production values and sound, but a stellar build. My one question, how does the trigger feel? Do you get any creep or "grittyness"? I am not sure what kind of linkage you have, but even my first stock 10/22 benefited from a Hornet upgrade to the trigger, and a radiused bolt made the action ~1/2 effort. Please let me (us) know about the trigger an linkage for you nice bullpup.
Thanks for the nice comment. A while back I installed a "lightened trigger kit" I bought off Ebay which is supposed to have lighter springs in it. I use a 1/8" rod to link the P90's trigger with the Ruger's trigger. I'd best describe the movement as slightly mushy more than anything. I do have a video detailing the build and another video detailing the linkage itself. I would say your upgrades would benefit this mod.
A 22 still produces 150 db @ the shooter's ears. The muzzle on this P90 is nearly a foot closer to the shooter's ears than a standard stock, and it's even closer than the muzzle of a pistol. It's more comfortable to shoot any firearm with hearing protection, less flinching, better aim, etc.
We put earplugs in when we arrive, and take them out when we are done. It's too inconvenient to put them in and take them out- the earplugs get lost, or get lead residue all over them from loading 100's of rds of 22's. Don't need that in your ears. Realize that we were also shooting a 20ga shotgun, an 8mm Mauser, 9mm pistols, a .357, and an MAK90 that day. I would have figured we would have been scrutinized for not wearing eye protection, actually.
very interested in this, however since the receiver is kinda of hap hazardly fit into the housing (cut empty, then gluing plastic together, etc.. I'm a little bit apprehensive about how well it could hold a zero. Really, what needs to be done is an entire drop in mold needs to be made that you can glue it, something that can insure the entire length of the receiver assembly is rigid.
How one fits their own Ruger into a stock like this is up to the person doing it. There's plenty of room for improvement and if you felt there was some inaccuracy due to slop, just secure it more. When we get around to more field testing, I do want to show if this setup is accurate or not. I've felt exactly the same way as you do and have the same questions. Thanks for the post.
Well, If this is to scale, one would imagine any replica P90 should in fact be capable of receiving a 10/22 receiver/barrel. How is the build quality of this airsoft? It seems to be on the cheaper end of what most of the airsofts go for. Is there higher quality P90 airsofts out there? What kind of rail system does this airsoft have, is it steel? I question this because I'd had to get it working and then find out it's going to break and crack.
I have seen someone do this with a Tokyo Mauri P90. That stock is different though and doesn't just split open like this. It's is more complicated and much more expensive. The Tokyo Marui airsoft is around $250-300, and to me that makes the whole idea of the project prohibitive Anyone who has owned a Well P90 knows it's pretty dang cheap. It is all plastic. I built mine over 2 years ago, and it has held up fine. (cont below)
I'm willing to bet if I dropped the gun the stock would crack. I've never dropped a firearm though- gun safety and caution usually prevents guns from being dropped. I'm not selling these P90s so I have no reason to BS anyone. Consider this a fun-gun with potential flaws. If you wish to do serious target shooting, it only takes a few minutes to remove the Ruger from this stock and placed back into your old stock.
ahh i see now..its not top fed? dammit thats too bad, you have to use the magazine from the bottom. i was wondering how that system would work if it was being top fed. still cool tho.
It would be VERY complicated to feed it from the top, you'd have to build a new receiver from scratch, plus you are limited on space, etc. Gives me headaches to think about it!
yah i agree, i just thought that maybe there was a system in place that they could now top feed. Either way i love the gun, and its awesome that its a .22
The accuracy test hasn't been done yet... long overdue. I planned on doing it a couple weeks after filming this video-
For quick cleaning, the action can be left in the stock. If you want to pull out the bolt and trigger group, it takes about 2 minutes tops to open the stock to remove the action.
It is comfortable. It has a different feel than holding a rifle and because it is so short I thought it might make it harder to aim. With more time using it, I'm sure I will get better at shooting it.
Just wow, frakkin' sweet man. I have to say that i love the p90 series and that looks almost exactly like the civilian ps90 rifle, which does have a protruding barrel. my brother has that 10/22, but i doubt he would allow it to be modded into a p90 like that. . . how unfortunate. . .
Thanks for the kind words! I guess it was part luck, part chance, and a little bit of persistance on my part, that the Ruger ended up fitting in that tiny stock.
could see it maybe melting if you fired alot of rounds through it, BUT im sure a solution could be found to fix it maybe even as simple as a battery or 2 and a internal CPU fan and vent?? dunno. but "if it aint broke dont fix it!" cool project
I really thought there would be a heat issue too. I thought I would have to take it easy on how many rds. I fired, and all that. I would fired of a bunch of rounds, grab the barrel it is was never hotter than "luke warm".
wicked, thinking about getting a few 10/22's to mod next gun show that comes my way. missed a chance at buying 1 a year ago on sale at dicks sporting goods i think for $59.99.. was an early bird special. would be cool to mod it like you did and possibly add a crank firing device ive seen around for cheap
They guys who were shooting it said it was accurate, but all this was close range stuff. We were running out of daylight so there wasn't much order, trying to get anything filmed. hehe, yeah, it ejects where ever it wants to.
hey nice video....i have a whinchester model 190 .22 semi-aoutomatic. And i have to say its extremely accurate for a semi aoutomatic. hope to see more videos soon...same for me..
This shoot was really short notice and everyone was just familiarizing themselves with the gun. (goofing around mostly) We'll definitely do some more serious accuracy tests. At this point it's the shooters that are inaccurate.
We are all ready planning an accuracy test in a couple of weeks. Hopefully we'll get out there a little earlier so we can plan it better. There's no easy way to change the ejection port. If I remember, I'll video it being fired left-handed. I think the shells might hit the right arm or shoulder. We'll see!
Very cool actually. How'd you get the trigger linkage hooked up? Was it hard to make? Lol.

Definitely post a video of it when you complete it. There have been a few others who posted their videos and they often have their own upgrades and changes from my design. (always a better way of doing everything!)

see what s $30 Crapy Airsoft P90 can become?
shinylatios2007 2 years ago 2
lol! The Well P90 is one of the worse airsofts out there.

This video reminds me of how much the bullpup design freaking sucks

Clearly you haven't handled one and are a typical no-nothing troll shit-sucker who wants to feel "cool" by pretending you are knowledgeable when in fact you're just a little bitch. Taofledermaus has lead the way in showing the rest of us what can be done with the P90 airsoft stock...he is a "doer", and YOU are nothing more than the product of your momma's pimp's "leavins"..the part that DIDN'T run out her cooch and down the crack of her ass--unfortunately.
kilibreaux 2 years ago
At this point, I'm just trying to decide which is funnier, Kilibreaux: 1) All of your spelling fails (i.e. "no-nothing") 2) The fact that you double posted just to attack my user name, or 3) the fact you think this is an airsoft gun. The only conclusion I can make is that you're around the age of a 5th grader. Go back to playing with airsoft and leave us big boys to play with real guns.

All of the above! LMAO!

AMAZING BUILD!!! umm do you remember what brand the airsoft was? because im thinking of doing this?
Guyya93 2 years ago
Thank you! It's a Well P90. I have more videos on this gun and an instructional video on how I built mine. All free information. Give it a try!
taofledermaus 2 years ago
i soooo have to try that!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guyya93 2 years ago
Great production values and sound, but a stellar build. My one question, how does the trigger feel? Do you get any creep or "grittyness"? I am not sure what kind of linkage you have, but even my first stock 10/22 benefited from a Hornet upgrade to the trigger, and a radiused bolt made the action ~1/2 effort. Please let me (us) know about the trigger an linkage for you nice bullpup.
chrismc45 2 years ago
Thanks for the nice comment. A while back I installed a "lightened trigger kit" I bought off Ebay which is supposed to have lighter springs in it. I use a 1/8" rod to link the P90's trigger with the Ruger's trigger. I'd best describe the movement as slightly mushy more than anything. I do have a video detailing the build and another video detailing the linkage itself. I would say your upgrades would benefit this mod.

One Suggestion, if you have the money, buy an eotech sight for it. awesome gun, though. I am thinking about putting one together.

22;s arent loud enough
DICESLIPKNOT 2 years ago
A 22 still produces 150 db @ the shooter's ears. The muzzle on this P90 is nearly a foot closer to the shooter's ears than a standard stock, and it's even closer than the muzzle of a pistol. It's more comfortable to shoot any firearm with hearing protection, less flinching, better aim, etc.
taofledermaus 2 years ago
No offense....But earplugs?
Bloodyfisted 2 years ago
We put earplugs in when we arrive, and take them out when we are done. It's too inconvenient to put them in and take them out- the earplugs get lost, or get lead residue all over them from loading 100's of rds of 22's. Don't need that in your ears. Realize that we were also shooting a 20ga shotgun, an 8mm Mauser, 9mm pistols, a .357, and an MAK90 that day. I would have figured we would have been scrutinized for not wearing eye protection, actually.

Tr33M4st3r 2 years ago
very interested in this, however since the receiver is kinda of hap hazardly fit into the housing (cut empty, then gluing plastic together, etc.. I'm a little bit apprehensive about how well it could hold a zero. Really, what needs to be done is an entire drop in mold needs to be made that you can glue it, something that can insure the entire length of the receiver assembly is rigid.
cjshull 2 years ago
How one fits their own Ruger into a stock like this is up to the person doing it. There's plenty of room for improvement and if you felt there was some inaccuracy due to slop, just secure it more. When we get around to more field testing, I do want to show if this setup is accurate or not. I've felt exactly the same way as you do and have the same questions. Thanks for the post.
taofledermaus 2 years ago
Well, If this is to scale, one would imagine any replica P90 should in fact be capable of receiving a 10/22 receiver/barrel. How is the build quality of this airsoft? It seems to be on the cheaper end of what most of the airsofts go for. Is there higher quality P90 airsofts out there? What kind of rail system does this airsoft have, is it steel? I question this because I'd had to get it working and then find out it's going to break and crack.
cjshull 2 years ago
I have seen someone do this with a Tokyo Mauri P90. That stock is different though and doesn't just split open like this. It's is more complicated and much more expensive. The Tokyo Marui airsoft is around $250-300, and to me that makes the whole idea of the project prohibitive Anyone who has owned a Well P90 knows it's pretty dang cheap. It is all plastic. I built mine over 2 years ago, and it has held up fine. (cont below)
taofledermaus 2 years ago
I'm willing to bet if I dropped the gun the stock would crack. I've never dropped a firearm though- gun safety and caution usually prevents guns from being dropped. I'm not selling these P90s so I have no reason to BS anyone. Consider this a fun-gun with potential flaws. If you wish to do serious target shooting, it only takes a few minutes to remove the Ruger from this stock and placed back into your old stock.
taofledermaus 2 years ago
ahh i see now..its not top fed? dammit thats too bad, you have to use the magazine from the bottom. i was wondering how that system would work if it was being top fed. still cool tho.
theVirus7 2 years ago
It would be VERY complicated to feed it from the top, you'd have to build a new receiver from scratch, plus you are limited on space, etc. Gives me headaches to think about it!
taofledermaus 2 years ago
yah i agree, i just thought that maybe there was a system in place that they could now top feed. Either way i love the gun, and its awesome that its a .22

best grouping? Can you take the 22out for cleaning?
tomterahedrob 2 years ago
The accuracy test hasn't been done yet... long overdue. I planned on doing it a couple weeks after filming this video-
For quick cleaning, the action can be left in the stock. If you want to pull out the bolt and trigger group, it takes about 2 minutes tops to open the stock to remove the action.
taofledermaus 2 years ago
it would be so cool if it was a full auto 10/22
dirtbike1911 2 years ago
is it comfortable to shoot
conarym9 2 years ago
It is comfortable. It has a different feel than holding a rifle and because it is so short I thought it might make it harder to aim. With more time using it, I'm sure I will get better at shooting it.
taofledermaus 2 years ago
if you were to sell one how much would you sell it for

Wow, im impressed man.
you beat me to this one,
i can do alot with guns.
but i wouldnt have thought to mod a .22 into a P90.
props dude.

Just wow, frakkin' sweet man. I have to say that i love the p90 series and that looks almost exactly like the civilian ps90 rifle, which does have a protruding barrel. my brother has that 10/22, but i doubt he would allow it to be modded into a p90 like that. . . how unfortunate. . .
GammaAKF 2 years ago 2
that is amazing, honestly i have to hand it to you i am impressed how you came up with this
5 stars :)
imthbst 2 years ago 4
Thanks for the kind words! I guess it was part luck, part chance, and a little bit of persistance on my part, that the Ruger ended up fitting in that tiny stock.
taofledermaus 2 years ago
i think i might do this mod with my 10/22
mikafor 2 years ago
could see it maybe melting if you fired alot of rounds through it, BUT im sure a solution could be found to fix it maybe even as simple as a battery or 2 and a internal CPU fan and vent?? dunno. but "if it aint broke dont fix it!" cool project
jackingoffkills 2 years ago
I really thought there would be a heat issue too. I thought I would have to take it easy on how many rds. I fired, and all that. I would fired of a bunch of rounds, grab the barrel it is was never hotter than "luke warm".
taofledermaus 2 years ago
wicked, thinking about getting a few 10/22's to mod next gun show that comes my way. missed a chance at buying 1 a year ago on sale at dicks sporting goods i think for $59.99.. was an early bird special. would be cool to mod it like you did and possibly add a crank firing device ive seen around for cheap

For the most part, the accuracy looks pretty good considering what it is.
I see you still havnt gotten that random ejecting cartridge problem down ;l
thedothedew 2 years ago
They guys who were shooting it said it was accurate, but all this was close range stuff. We were running out of daylight so there wasn't much order, trying to get anything filmed. hehe, yeah, it ejects where ever it wants to.
taofledermaus 2 years ago
hey nice video....i have a whinchester model 190 .22 semi-aoutomatic. And i have to say its extremely accurate for a semi aoutomatic. hope to see more videos soon...same for me..
derderpaintballguy 2 years ago
it'd be nice to have seen an example of a paper target you'd shot up. Accuracy and all.
e1406466 2 years ago
This shoot was really short notice and everyone was just familiarizing themselves with the gun. (goofing around mostly) We'll definitely do some more serious accuracy tests. At this point it's the shooters that are inaccurate.
taofledermaus 2 years ago
any how good video nice to see the new footage, but i would also enjoy seeing some grouping on targets when u get a chance, thanks sweet rep
teeznutz0 2 years ago
yeah i agree nice vid.
i wish i could fire it heh heh.
and seeing the grouping of the shots would be really cool
i wonder if the ejection port would be in the way for a left handed shooter. or is there a way to switch the ejection port
3rd6thdeathward 2 years ago
We are all ready planning an accuracy test in a couple of weeks. Hopefully we'll get out there a little earlier so we can plan it better. There's no easy way to change the ejection port. If I remember, I'll video it being fired left-handed. I think the shells might hit the right arm or shoulder. We'll see!
taofledermaus 2 years ago
that would be sweet i cant wait ! :D
well dont try it if the shells are gonna poke your eye out lol.
3rd6thdeathward 2 years ago
Wouldn't that be good-video though? I'll do it in slow motion so we can see the gruesome details! muuhaha
