This song inspired me to start a website celebrating the times we spend with our loved ones. While creating this site, I realized that we are all gardeners planting seeds everyday - being influenced and influencing others... Johns messages continue to grow through us all and it is far from empty.... Another song I really like is Billy Squier's Nobody Knows... The site is called Myhappygarden and is litterally under construction but functional. I could use help... Anyone?
hello wonderwall816 how are you my names tom great work on this video you did here i am happy to see that almost 30 yrs after that animal took him away from us that he has not been forgotten i remeber where i was in new york when i herd the news i was watching prisoner in cell block h a show on wpix when we seen the news flash about what had just happen but ill tell you although he may be gone in body his spirit and what he stood for and his music mainly will never fade away thanks to you
This was sweet. I got choked up at the end. Beautiful images and footage. I love John and I love The Beatles (and John is my favorite Beatle). Also, Elton's song is simply a beautiful tribute. Nice job all around. :-)
Peace, n. 1. The fantastic result you get when you kill enough of the enemy. I hate to be the voice of dissent here (I love this song) but the reason you "peace lovers," have yet to, and never will get the "peace," you hope for, is simply because your definition of it is wrong. Peace, like freedom isn't free. It must be fought for and its price is blood and tears. Reality, like this world is HARSH and THAT is peace within the world of reality. -GREAT VID, NICE POST!
John Winston Lennon, has changed my life, and i'm only 16 he was a professor of love, the greatest musician the world has ever known. He has inspired me to become a peace activist and keep peace in my music. RIP forever John Winston October 9, 1940- December 8, 1980Lennon My hero, My friend, My mentor, and Me solace, my rock, and my beacon to the battle of peace. I love you John, and I thank you. Your loyal fan - Robert William Waddell
I never liked much of Lennon's stuff..he was before my time. But our music in teacher in grade school always made us listen to "Imagine". Our teacher died at a young age, but he inspired so many students during his lifetime. I like all of Elton's stuff. But I honor the memory of our music teacher whenever I listen to this song in honor of the one who wrote "Imagine"...a song full of the wishes of the entire world.
I was only 14 years old when John Lennon got shot but I can only imagine how devastating it was for Elton, much like everybody else around the world who felt close to Lennon,..It was Elton who helped John and Yoko get back together. No one could have written a more fitting tribute to John with the exception of George Harrison's "All Those Years Ago".
Wonderwall816 I just wanted to say you did an excellent job with this video. Very nice work and thank you for posting this. So sad that my hero John Winston Lennon is no longer with us. RIP Darling Johnny. I love you.
Yes, John is obviously one of my heroes, too. It is so so unfair he's not with us today! I always get emotional when reading about him. Although I am aware I never lived in the same lifetime as him. He was and is such an ispiration for so many people.
paulsgirl4evs I am crying while watching this video too. I put this song on my Playlist but might have to remove it. I'm an emotional lady. I LOVE John Winston Lennon. This song that Elton John wrote is magnificent but I get very sad when I watch this video. I am crying now.
i cryed during this video..it made me realize that he WAS actually gone, and i was grateful to elton john for such a great tribute song. his legacy as shown in this video will live on...
"We, the undersigned, petition and ask that the New York Department of Corrections Parole Board deny the parole/release of Convicted Killer "Mark David Chapman" during Parole hearings during Oct. 2008, and any future hearings to come, as to assure the Public of the World that "Mark David Chapman" will serve his FULL term of Life In Prison for the Pre-meditated Murder of John Winston (Ono) Lennon committed Dec. 8, 1980."
Please watch the video response for the link to the petition.
beatlolgist, im not sure if you can help me but i want to put a graph of how many people have signed the petition on my myspace profile so i can rall people up and watch the petition count
I really wish i lived in the same life time as him...too bad he died by health issues and not a murduer that wanted to be acknowlaged as the one that killed him
It's Elton John...and last I checked he wasn't dead. I think JBG422 is trying to imply some sort of conspiracy about Lennon's murderer taking the credit for bad health. It's not true as you well know.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
you idiot listen cosely to my words and take a hint he died of natural causes hint hint wink wink and not by some one who wanted to be famous for killing him another hint hint you numbskull
Yeah, dude. Even if he was the healthiest person on the planet. No one could have survived for too long when losing more than 3 quarters of your blood.
why do all the greats go early. john lennon, jimmi hendrix, jim morrison, kurt cobain and more it doesnt make since
