This game works with my radeon 2600 256mb on 1600x1200 all on high and max AA and AF with about 30 FPS so this game doesn't take much performance.

Actually the Nvidia 400 series does run a bit hot,but the 500 series is now very good I would recommend the nvidia 460 or 6870 both those cards are absolutely amazing.i think you guys can agree.If your on a budget then I would wait for the 6770 or the Nvidia 550.Please people don't be fanboys and just help people make informed decisions.Go to toms hardware website for the latest info.

Yeah, pontus is right. Even swedes know that 5970 OR GTX 580 are the best cards (in tests, 580 beats 5970 in lower FPS cuz single-gpu) and 5870 is just good card.

New fermis by nvidia aren't even hot. GTX 460, for example, gives good performance compared to 5850 and has almost similar tdp and idle/load temperatures.

You've got the wrong picture of Nvidia Arsjonisterman. Everyone knows that GTX480, 470, 465 are hot cards, but my GTX460 is definitely not(I don't have HD5770 anymore). It runs at max 55c in Crysis with a heavy overclock(Fan speed on Auto).

As you said, the new fermi's are not hot.

@pontusjannesson Are you kidding me? I have a GTX460 as well but that bitch gets HOT, I have it extremely overclocked with the fan speeds unlocked to allow 100% fan speed and it hits ~85C in FurMark. Of Course you won't see that temperature playing Crysis...

i need to play this at lowest settings, except medium resolution and textures, my spes are: amd athlon 64 bit dual core 2.3 ghz 2 gb ram ati radeon x1200 900mb. but I was stupid to not build a computer, but now im getting ,gtx 460 intel i5 3.33 ghz dual core with turbo boost 8 gb ram( even though i dont need more than 4 gb ram) My pc history is as following. 1st pc was cs 1.6 on lowest 2nd pc is cs source on lowest res and medium settings 3rd pc is going to be crysis on max settings, 50fps
