Jones is ready for the big boys of the division. His striking skills is not at their level yet. Stylistically he may have a more challenging fight against Machida as Machida is an expert at sprawls and preventing takedowns. Jones would have much more success against Shogun. Shogun's showed weakness of being taken down and controlled on the ground. Go back to the Mark Coleman fight. Jones is a good wrestler doesn't gas. I can't see Jones get caught in submission.

I'm really looking forward to this fight. Jones is so impressive with his unorthodox striking and throws. That kid has massive potential. Vera is a great technical striker, and he has looked lethal at times, especially when he demolished Frank Mir. But he seems to be hot and cold, and you never know if he's gonna shine or falter. Jones has looked deadly in every match so far even getting robbed in his last fight, so I'm picking him to pull an upset victory.

I think his takedowns are actually exciting. When he fought Kos and Fitch, I was just amazed to see how he outwrestled them. For those who don't enjoy wrestling, at least his takedowns are explosive. He doesn't grind em out like some others.
