The United Nations ranks the USA #38 in life expectancy. We are also ranked #33 in lowest infant mortality. Most, if not all, of the countries ahead of us have "evil" socialized health care. Some of the nations that beat us include Cuba, UK, Belgium, Canada, France, Israel, Austrailia, and Switzerland. We are #1 in one category though--the amount we spend on health care. My only complaint about heath care reform is that it didn't go nearly far enough. !

She received hospice care in Dec 09 and suddenly her govt. healthcare got approved. You see, its cheaper to pay for hospice care than to pay for treatments of cancer. Furthermore once she received hospice care, all other treatment halted.
Who I am is not important, but I can tell you where to search for more death panel cases. Look at the hospice program. Follow the trails of how people got on the lists. The journey they took. The stress and frustration of dealing with bureaucracy. The delay of services month after months. furthermore, the only people that are going to see increased taxes are the people making over 200k by themselves or 250k as a family unit. And it will only increase to what people were paying when bill was in office. When it comes to health care, the only people who will have to pay a little more are the ones who make over a million a year. Obama's plan insures everyone and pay's for its self in the long run. Not in the first decade but in the next 2 decades. People always worry about their taxes increasing but people dont know that higher taxes increase the value of the dollar. when you get tax cuts, inflation rises across the board. which means it takes more money to buy goods.

The United Nations ranks the USA #38 in life expectancy. We are also ranked #33 in lowest infant mortality. Most, if not all, of the countries ahead of us have "evil" socialized health care. Some of the nations that beat us include Cuba, UK, Belgium, Canada, France, Israel, Austrailia, and Switzerland. We are #1 in one category though--the amount we spend on health care. My only complaint about heath care reform is that it didn't go nearly far enough. !

She received hospice care in Dec 09 and suddenly her govt. healthcare got approved. You see, its cheaper to pay for hospice care than to pay for treatments of cancer. The CBO already said that the republican plan would only help 3 million people and after a decade over 10million people would lose their health care. Obama's plan insures everyone and pay's for its self in the long run. Not in the first decade but in the next 2 decades. People always worry about their taxes increasing but people dont know that higher taxes increase the value of the dollar. when you get tax cuts, inflation rises across the board. which means it takes more money to buy goods.

Either way though, if this plan passes, a ton of Dems are getting voted out of office in November and the Dictator in Chief in 2012. I say let them pass it and then once the Republicans gain control in November, vote it right back out again. Republicans already said if the bill passes the House, they will stall it out for years with amendment after amendment anyway so it can't become law. Then, when they get control of Congress again, they'll squash it completely.

The auto companies don't need to "close down" to fail. Most of them either merged or were bought out by other automakers. Look at Chrysler for example. "Weak banks were eliminated?" Well that's a good example, how about we do that with the worthless, lazy trash in this country that will be using this system? There ya go, problem solved.

Well we either help 50 million uninsured Americans, who by the way, they lost their insurance when they lost their jobs!Or we provide our people with an adequate health care system not the joke that we currently have.For fucks sake blue cross just announced that they might raise premiums again!How great is that?after the just having raised their premiums by 39% they are thinking of raising them again! PPL say that poor should get an education and get a job idk I do respect your opinion, but while having a college degree is certainly helpful, it doesn't guarantee anything in this economy. My grandfather has a bachelors in engineering, laid off. He took a minimum wage job to survive ($8 hr + benefits). There are many kids out of college with degrees struggling to find a job, let alone decent jobs with benefits. It's not just democrats or lazy freeloaders a wide range of people are hurting.

I have encountered sites that allow, and sites that don't allow and sites that allow on condition (screening). I don't care. It is their site. They cn do what they want I guess. OK with me. Is ridiculous to expect common citizens to understand and have an objective opinion in a bill this complex that took almost two decades to conceive by hundreds of lawmakers and professionals that work in HC.
Going for the track record Republicans have ignored the HC problems for decades. I trust more Obama and the Democrats with this one.
The bill could have been much simpler and elegant, but Republicans opposition to a Public Option made it impossible so we ended with a patched bill.
