  • I use one of these with my bass amp and love using it on crappy stages. It really tightens up the bottom end and reduces the effect of standing waves.

  • This appears to be a fine product and I agree with the science behind it - but the player switches pickups from what appears to be the neck pickup or one of the in between pickup settings and the second time he switches it to the bridge pick up. You can hear the guitar thru the amp the second time and you can see him switching the pickups right before he turns up the volume.

  • Hey guys, Ryan form Auralex here. I understand where you are coming from. We demo the GRAMMA at NAMM every year, and every year heads turn. It is truly a great product, and we have no reason to "doctor" a video to make our products LOOK like they work......they really do work! If you think the video isn't accurate, go to your local dealer and try one for yourself. I think you will be surprised at just how much difference decoupling using the GRAMMA really makes! :)

  • This is ridicuolous. Even if you were playing on stage made out of cheese, there wouldn't be such a difference. I am not saying that this pad don't help tho. I own small gramma and I am happy owner, but this vid is just too much...

  • i'm not saying this doesn't help at all, but i agree this vid sounds "tweaked".. like you can hear distortion on the mic on the first part but it's gone when the pad is used.. sounds far too different to be as they're presenting here.

  • I own a Gramma and 2 Great Grammas for live use. The bass and keyboard amplifiers were woofing out all the other instruments on stage, especially flimsy, trailer style carnival stages and the like. Placing one under my guitar cab and the other two big amps on stage made everything clear and balanced. No more dirty looks at or from the sound guy. Probably the cheapest and most dramatic improvement in our live sound set up.

  • I use some of their other products and believe in them. In this video I would love to know where that mic is placed and I am also suspect that there was additional audio editing of the video before posting. I am interested in this product but I don't want a modified video to flatter the product. Should have a disclaimer stating that there is no editing if there isn't.

  • @dwdrummer97 Surprisingly, only one microphone was used in this video, which is the lavalier mic worn by Terry himself. The best way to verify the authenticity of this video is to stop into your local authorized Auralex dealer and demo one today!

  • I know risers work, because I use one for my subwoofer in my Home Theater (no Auralex brand). However, this test was kinda bias. He obviously played the guitar better the second time around in purpose.

  • I'm using some plywood for a riser, but like you said it is hollow. I would love to eventually get one of these. :)
